Ok Listen everyone, Not every record is supposed to sound the same. Every release brings a different vibe and this one happens to sound alittle happy. Every time a new record comes out its completely changes the direction of this band. How many bands can claim that. This is another great example of songwriting. Listen and soak it up. BTW my favorite HIM song is The Heartless that this man wrote when he was 13 yrs old.

HIM have to be my all time fav band. I honestly don't feel like they're moving in a negative direction. Their music is still amazing, the lyrics are still so deep and meaningful and the sound is absolutely unreal. Ville and the guys have a truly unique and beautiful sound. Screamworks is my best album personally, but Love Metal is thought of as their best. Like G'n'R had appetite for destruction, Motley Crue had Dr Feelgood, HIM have Love Metal. Every band evolves. They have, and its awesome! :D

I've studied latin for 3 years, Venere is an infinitive verb wich means love/sanctify and Veritas means truth, it is on accusative case. Plus, there is the tacit Sum verb (To be) .
The traduction would be: There is truth in Loving/Sanctifying or, if the accusative is a locative accusative, it would be: In truth there is love. It's related somehow to be loyal with your soulmate or to praying.

@MikeSandy09 I think venus doom is the beginning of a new road for HIM, because venus doom is a really really good album, with epic songs like 'Sleepwalking past hope' you cant say that isnt what you call 'old HIM' because it is written long before greatest lovesongs even came out :) venus doom is the album that made them back to their roots I see it as a new sort of 'greatest lovesongs' and screamworks as a new sort of 'razorblade romance' but my fav album isnt here 'Deep shadows' :(

This made me fall in love with H.I.M. agen. This song is so good. I wasn't too keen on Venus Doom (Except for Bleed Well). But seriously...wen i heard this song, along with the rest of the album (Songs like Katherine Wheel, Like St. Valentine and Ode to Solitude) I was like "Yes! The Old H.I.M. IS BACK!"

@aphorysmia ..same here..i mean i love them all for different reasons,but how could anyone hear cyanide sun,sleepwalking past hope and think they are not 2 of the most beautiful songs ever composed....now i could list for hours all the HIM songs that make me feel that way...Ville just cant write a bad song :)

@MikeSandy09 I think venus doom is the beginning of a new road for HIM, because venus doom is a really really good album, with epic songs like 'Sleepwalking past hope' you cant say that isnt what you call 'old HIM' because it is written long before greatest lovesongs even came out :) venus doom is the album that made them back to their roots I see it as a new sort of 'greatest lovesongs' and screamworks as a new sort of 'razorblade romance' but my fav album isnt here 'Deep shadows' :(
