lol, well it was cool... But I hate to break it to you, that was not a Flash Mob... That was a half-time show.... Just because it has dancing to music unexpectedly doesn't make it a flash mob...
@Footballfreakbcn it would have been a normal half time had we not marched off and just stayed out on the field and announced it. The fact we appeared done and then ran out make sit a flash mob.
@XxRoscoxX Again, I'm not discrediting how cool it was. I applaud y'all for organizing it... But would it make it a flash mob if the Black Eyed Peas walked off of stage appearing to be done, and then unexpectedly jumped back on stage and did another, different performance with Eminem or somebody like that? My point was, was that your job was half time entertainment, half time hadn't finished yet.... Really it doesn't matter, congratulations on an awesome performance, great entertainment.
@Footballfreakbcn I'm a member of BUGWB, and it was originally supposed to have small amounts of people starting to dance while we were performing and progressively increase and make it seem like it was started by someone in athletics. There was some complication with this, so we weren't able to do that. I personally wouldn't consider this a flash mob either, but it was still a ton of fun. It seemed liked others enjoyed too, so I'm happy with it! :)

BUT DOES IT FREAKING MATTER WHAT THE TECHNICAL TERM IS??? Fact of the matter: it was unexpected and it entertained the fans. It brought unity among the two schools. It was a blast to perform. And it kicked off the party for the Baylor victory over OU.
I'm an Aggie fan all the way, but this is perhaps the best and most fun halftime performance I've ever seen. Way to go for Baylor in the win. Waco was the place to be last weekend.
@aggieri1 Y'all had a pretty historic halftime show, also, I heard. Brought back the giant "T" with the entire Corps on the field for the first time since the '50s (is that correct?) A buddy of mine plays tuba in the Corps.

This certainly was the weekend for central Texas halftime shows, I guess! I'm glad I had the privilege to be down on the field in the Baylor band!
We sent them a video of the routine we were practicing 3 weeks in advance. We rehearsed it with them for the first time on the day of the game, about 4 hours before kickoff.
Hey David, I was just on an ESPN blog, where they were voting for the best plays/players/games in the Big 12, and BUGWB/OU's Flash Mob was voted Best Halftime...and this video is now linked in ESPN.
I'm in the OU band and i'm so happy that the BUGWB invited us to do this with them. We all had a blast and it really means a lot that we can come together and do something as awesome as this. Also thank you Iota chapter for being such great brothers and sisters, MLITB!

@ces1383 Check out the 8 or 10 other videos of the show, and you will see this is the best quality footage of the show that is out there-the best sound quality, shot nearly dead-center in the stands. I mean halfway through one of the videos shot from the student student section, the person filming started following a yellow balloon that was floating in the air.
And honestly, the camera is pretty steady compared to others.
As a member of the OU band that went to Waco for this. I had a lot of fun with it. OU's and Baylor's bands get along really well. Congrats to all the Baylor fans for the win.

SO proud to be a Baylor bear and BUGWB member! Working on and performing this show was the highlight of my season. I don't really care if you consider this a "flash mob" or a "performance", if you're really worrying about that, you must not have noticed the 400 people DANCING on the football field. My husband and I were so glad we chose to attend this game on our date night. Our friend, Nicky, is part of Baylor's Band. This half time show was so fun to witness! So nice that OU was part of it :-)
I got to say, this one of the most enjoyable performances I've ever seen at a halftime show. It's good to remind ourselves that we are all friends here at a football game. Props to Baylor and Oklahoma putting that on together.
