If you don't like these guys, you definitely don't get it. These guys to indie are the Nirvana of Alternative, the Cure of Goth. Without a doubt. From the driving chord progressions to the great lyrics and the ultimate cheezy licks, these guys (and girls) are the freakin' greatest. But what would you want from someone who was probably born after the band was, widen your horizons people, these guys ROCK!!!!!
they are kind of like that band School of Rock from the movie, but grown up and with shit jobs and bad attitudes, and much more expanded puck rock record collection.
I love this song but could never understand the words clearly. So I googled the lyrics and learned the inspiration behind the song. Then I went to a Kinkos in Monroeville, PA to fedex an important package. The useless smartass behind the counter was truly a slack motherfucker....and I loved the song even more.
i almost got to see them in chapel hill which is where i used to live....but i had to go to work...FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK!!!!!!!!!!! >:( (i'm still bitter)
I saw them on a boat, in Paris. It was waaaaaaayld. They were jumping around like crazy, the boat was rocking... Detroit Has A Skyline was pure killer and Laura Ballance asked me how you say "T-shirt" in French (the answer is "T-shirt"). Good, great memories !!
you're an idiot. not only are you ignorantely homophobic, but also if you don't like Superchunk, nobody's forcing you to listen to it, but i think they kick-ass and so does this video.
If you are going to get upset, it is best to correct your spelling i.e ignorantly, before posting dude (often get more creditability that way !) Peace

totally agree tubeguy, i was at uni in the UK in the early 90s and the US invasion Sebadoh, Pavement and Superchunk...amongst others...for so many of us it was the whole 77 punk thing... love it
I remember Pavement for their odd meters; not too many were experimenting with the stuff. The guy I played bass with loved to tweak our songs with 5's and 7's; came out great in the end...
Saint Andrew's Hall in Detroit & they opened for The Descendents. Got kicked in the head by a stage-diver & I still have a signed songlist from The Descenents..it was a good concert!
Very nice video! Good audio quality, too!

they were like 22 when this song came out and not everyone likes metalcore. i think that counterargument will suffice.

fIREHOSE used to cover this song back when both bands were in their prime. '91-'93???.
i811st 3 years ago 2
I asked the band at my wedding reception if they could do a cover of this. No dice. Probably a good thing.
If you ever are feeling sorry for yourself, drive on over to an all night Kinkos. Cure you in a second.
