its not that time is constant, because saying something is "constant" implies it is just a single event within a larger time scale. there is no time, what we see is just the only method to rational gather information and respond to it. time is like a book, its all there in front of you able to interact with, but it doesnt make a whole lotta sense to read a book at random pages and/or backwards than "foward" from the "beginning", all the events are simultaneous as they are exist as completed text

Um, no they're not really the same. The difference is that comics usually aren't very long and follow a linear story. Generally, graphic novels are much longer than comics, and have more narrative to them. Graphic novels still fall under the "Comic book" category though.

Dr. Manhatten is a Jesus figure, but he is also alludes to Vishnu too - sort of a joke on Oppenheimer's Bhagavad Gita quip. He (supposedly) already knows about Veidt's ultimate plan, knows he's going to kill Rorschach at a subsequent time/space moment, so he's not really interested in hearing what Rorschach has to say now.

Not that this is all that well put together, mind. There are certainly plenty of holes in the logic. Moore's conceptualizations can be very sophomoric at times.

Doc had no idea what Veidt had planned. In this very clip he talks about how there's something obscuring his vision of the future, which could theoretically happen if nuclear war occurred.

I'll grant that the movie leaves out a lot of details that help things make sense, but that's not Moore's fault. And at any rate, this isn't one of those details.

Seriously? I read the graphic novel and was impressed at how INCREDIBLY faithful the film was. Oh, so Zack Snyder didn't copy the whole book word for word. Obviously there had to be some creative license because films and comic books are two very different mediums.

If this small scene makes you sad then you might as well just read the book again and not bother with seeing any film adaptation.
