Well, I see we've digested from the main topic. So, for the rest of you out there either thinking I'm stupid or whatever, enjoy Phantom of the Opera and ignore these stupid comments (including mine).
to make it really really simple, here it goes. the Phantom (he is a lonely and deformed man) falls in love with the young girl Christine Daae. He taught her how to sing since she was a little girl by pretending to be her "angel of music". When we enter into the story, Christine becomes the star of the opera and that night a lot happens.
Raoul, Christine's friend since she was little, returns and they find they still care about each other. not long after their reminiscing, the phantom calls Christine from behind a mirror in her room and he leads her to his lair. There he sings to her of Music and his love for her. The next morning she sees his face. A great deal of stuff happens untill the end of the movie, and I don't want to ruin the entire plot but i'll tell you just a little more.
Raoul, Christine's friend from when she was little reminisces with her, the Phantom leads Christine to his lair, she sees his face... the plot goes on and on. But in the end of the movie Christine must make a terrible choice... to stay with the Phantom forever, or to see Raoul die. It ends quite tragically. It's a great movie. :)
