The post-Marxist and anarcho-primitivist undertones of this video are frankly distracting. Can the North American Everyman ask for some simple cerebral massaging without being branded by heavy-handed pseudo-socio-philosophical platitudes and/or beatitudes? Furthermore, the blatantly self-conscious and self-indulgent rejection of the precedent for heteronormativism in rock and roll and the tangential art-forms, i.e. modes of expression, is more reminiscent of the Marquis de Sade than Sid Vicious.
