you kidding? everyone on wow thinks pally tanks are best because dps dont have to manage threat and such, it's the warriors trying to prove they can be good, warriors have one thing, their class isn't totally boring to tank on, after playing an 80 pally tank, an 80 dk tank(all specs), and an 80 prot warrior I have to say prot warrior is by far the most fun, although you can't hold threat as well as a paladin you have way more defensive and mitigation boosting spells.

@nissen153 Judge Wisdom unless you have a ret pally or shadow priest with you. If you're tanking raid bosses you should have Divine Plea up the entire time. Don't use Seal of Wisdom, its too much of a drain on TPS.

make sure you have atleast one point in spiritual attunement, and have blessing of sanctuary and divine plea up, and if you still have mana issues, try to pull more mobs on you at once, the more you get hit / dodge / block / parry, the more mana you get, More mobs = more mana. however.. dont pull too many and get yourself killed :P learn your limits and sit at the edge, you wont fi outta mana that way

Larp, Paladins get their mana back by a percentage of the healer's heal. It's a passive ability called Spiritual Attunement.

the more defense you have, the more the enemy ( NOT REAL PEOPLE ) will have threat on you, if you have 100% threat the mod will havve aggro on you, meaning they wik look at you, and focus on hurting you, which is good if you are the "tank" in the groyp.

On my paladin (horde) I've been tanking as long as I was about to lol. And I was damn good at it.

Oh and by the way your whole C/C tip nice one if you actually use it lol. Unless it was a raid and maybe a heroic or 2 I would not use any c/c while I was tanking on my paladin.

yes they could tank only problem is when it came to raids they where lacking compared to warriors and druids they where bad tanks and his spec is funked up and that was pre wotlk btw but with the woltk patch release they own in tank on par with other classes and dude never put 2 points into improved judgements in the ret tree it messes your rotation up and guys this is when pallys sucked lol

Its a good guide! but now in WOTLK you need 540def to be uncritable(535 for heroics 540 for raids) no more crushing blows so no need to be masd on avoidance (its still something you need) and around 23-24k HP to start tanking raids (below 23 its suecide to raid for heroixcs 21-22 will do fine)

i agree. terrible spelling. i have no idea what you mean by migration and i also had to pause each time i read the instructions. the music was, frankly, terrible and also in the talents i would try to get pursuit of justice since it lets you get just ahead of the mobs you're pulling which means you will get dazed and slowed down by enemies less.

Paladins can hold aggro pretty decently. Although, it is harder for a paladin tank to get uncrushable due to Holy Shield only increasing block 30% instead of the warrior Shield Block increasing block by 75%.

You need 102.4% total avoidance to be uncrushable, not 102.6%. Resillience also helps with becoming uncrittable, though defense is ideal as it also increases your avoidance.

1) Avengers shield does not break Sap, sheep, (pig, turtle whatever) or ANY other CC anymore.

2) Righteous defense now works like a normal taunt, you don't need a macro.

This has been changed in the latest patches. Good luck for all you tankadins out there!

Also I should add this as a blood elf paladin, your aoe silence is nice in heroics for making mobs come to your consecration though line of sighting is better as long as your group isn't stupid. For mobs living longer than 30 secs your best bet is to give them seal of the crusader first for aggro. Another good ability, if you create a macro to cancel your shield is bubble taunt. You don't take damage for the length of your taunt, then cancel your shield, AND douse your dots and debuffs.

Sorry I accidently deleted the last message. Yes this guide is outdated as it is 1 year old. Blessing of sanctuary is still good in raids. It is thread and damage reduction. Not much but it is some and every bit counts. You will properly have a vouple of holy paladins to give you light and kings anyway
