@getchormama My recommendation is to first check locally for a natural parenting store or Craig's List for used diapers. Otherwise, there are a lot of great online stores- I would never be able to recommend just a few!
Thank you thank you thank you for posting these videos! This is by far the most comprehensive straightforward summary of "how to" cloth diaper that I've found. This was immensely helpful!!
@Jaimee Gleisner, i was wondering who you came about the various diapers. I am wanted to have a cloth diaper clinic on my Air Force Base, and am currently in the process of contacting all the major cloth diapering companies for a sample diaper to show!
@minterangela3 The diapers and products I demoed in the videos were either my own or borrowed from a local natural parenting store where I was teaching the seminars.
Thank you so much for helping simplify what was previously a very complicated subject for my wife and me. We are expecting our first and have been planning to cloth diaper from the beginning, but I was admittedly intimidated by all of the options. Sitting down together to watch your video series has helped us develop a cloth diapering plan for the future :) Thank you again for creating and sharing your videos!
@seonfox Yes, the water proof barrier on most premium diapers and covers is PUL (this is a step up from the old vinyl plastic pants as it is breatheable). The lining is also made of polyester in most premium diapers. If you're looking to avoid all synthetics your only choice is prefolds or fitteds (made of cotton, bamboo, or hemp) with wool covers.
I am 26 weeks pregnant and have known that I wanted to go the route of cloth diapering since a few weeks after my pregnancy was confirmed. I have a friend who uses cloth diapers with her son, but I never really have time to sit and go over everything with her. Of course I have soooooo many people trying to convince me that I will hate it, I know that its not as difficult or inconvient as they try to make it seem. Thank you so much for posting this! I found it very informative and helpful!
@djnavyvet02 It's all perspective... it's only as difficult and inconvenient as a person feels it is. There are logistic issues with both kinds of diapering, but most that cloth diaper find that they feel passionate enough about it that it is neither difficult nor inconvenient as the benefits far outweigh any work they might add. So don't let your friends discourage you if you want to do it! You'll love it! :)
Thank you, thank you. I am 8 months along and totally overwhelmed about diaper choices and everything involved with considering cloth diapering. This is the best thing I've found. I hope you will do cloth diapering 201 and talk about whether it is important to launder a certain way (something about stripping diapers?), cloth diapering with daycare, and how to accumulate a sufficient stash without too much expense if you are a person who can only manage laundry once or twice a week.
Thank you so much for the videos..It helped me in a great way to understand different uses of different diapers, their cleaning and accessories and what not..You very well touched all the requirements of cloth diapering. For a new mom like me, its a very good guide and would recommend it to everyone. The series of videos is very informative.
This is an awesome video series! I've watched it several times and pick up something new each time. I am just starting to cloth diaper my 6-month-old and am still doing a lot of research while I try different things and build my stash. Your video series is one of the most informative things out there. VERY well done! Thank you!
I've been curious about cloth diapering for a while (we're planning for a baby, but we're not pregnant... yet, ^.~) Sadly, ever site I went to simply WOULD explain in clarity exactly HOW to cloth diaper and went on about things I couldn't understand. It's the one and only subject I desperately needed visualization for!!
Thank you so much for making this series! It's extremely helpful and just wanted I needed so I can do cloth diapering when the time calls. THANK YOU!!!
@BlackKitten21 I'm so glad that I could give you the confidence you needed to cloth diaper when the time comes! Good luck ttc and let me know if you come up with more questions. :)
Thanks so much for these videos! I've just started cloth diapering and you have answered a lot of questions and gave me more confidence! I've subscribed so that I can come back and re-watch the videos as necessary! =)
Thank you so much for these videos. I'm about to have my first and I'm seriously considering cloth diapering to save money. I did read somewhere that using a diaper rash cream with cloth diapers isn't recommended. What would you recommend using if baby does get a rash?
@chelsey1227 It has been my experience- even with extremely sensitive skinned children- that if you change them often enough rash is very, very rare. Certainly there are times- illness, a missed poop, or an allergy (to a new food or detergent)- so it is good to be prepared. I recommend a "safe" cream like California Baby, Avalon Organics, Nature's Baby, Arbonne, etc. and lining your diapers with biosoft liners. Yeast rashes require different treatment.
I found your series incredibly helpful. I will be selling all of the G diapers I received and buying some of the others you have mentioned here. Thank you so much!
Wow, I am SO GLAD that you made these videos. It was helpful for me (trying to conceive and overwhelmed by all the diaper options) and also helpful for my friend who has been cloth diapering for 10 months. Thanks!!

Thank you so much jmalmber! I'm so glad you found the seminar helpful! Best wishes for a wonderful birth and I hope you enjoy cloth diapering as much as I do! :)
I love this video series. Super informative and answers all of my questions plus some that I didn't know I had. I'm 8 months pregnant and just ordered my first set of cloth diapers and covers. I can't wait to start using them and I look forward to reviewing these videos when I have questions once I put everything into practice. Thanks for the great series. You should do more videos on other baby topics.
Can you add links below the video of great websites to buy cloth diapers from?
