  • Did ya mean 'Alan Parsons Project' or is there really one with my name?

  • Not angry at you, the trash upsets me yes. I've hauled out so much garbage from that hole, you wouldn't believe it. I will gladly help you pack it out again. Good to see you have someone willing to pay any fines for ya. I don't worry about the hole running out, and have plenty of specimens from there already. Not to mention that whole mountain is chock full, and that 'pit' is probably not safe to be in anymore. @gemcutter found that place myself as well 16 yrs ago when it was still 2 holes

  • @TheAlanJessup

From what I hear lots of hippies camp in the area and dig on that mountain. From what I've seen in other areas they can be pretty destructive and messy.

I finally called it quits with the pit. Went down about four feet more on one side and was pretty nervous with that big slab above me. I think the fines are a myth... at least I've never heard of anyone getting one for hand digging.

  • @TheAlanJessup

No hard feelings man. Just dont jump to conclusions so fast, I'm the last person that would trash a place up. If you notice in my videos of the area all the trash has been picked up already. My wife gathered up a massive load of junk people had left there. Its sad.. but I see it darn near every where I go.

  • by the way the Alan Jessup Project is a old vinyl record project so that's a rocking name . So stop bugging the pros and keep your sorry attitude to your self . Ill be glad to pay King Of Quartz fines anytime you have no ideal who he is nor what type person he is . that hole is dead its empty and the screen was left by a person that does not know what his doing . Perhaps one day you too will gorw up into a real man such as King of quarts is already .

  • Who is @theaalejessup dude he certainly knows 0 about that hole we discovered over 21 years ago long before Kingofquartz did . He most likely is pissed off about the fact it is cleaned out leaving him nada to claim as his own . When that hole was discovered it was discovered by a famous digger now retired . 21 years back it was a simple notch between a boulder . There has been 7 people I know that has been in that hole King Of Quartz found it on his own and leaves no trash Back off dude .

  • @arkansasgemcutter

I dont know who he is or why he seems to be picking on me. When I first found that place it was covered with trash and while I was digging my wife bagged it all up and we hauled it out. If its trashed up again it was probably done by the same people who had trashed it up before. People hand dig small holes like this all over the national forest and its not a big deal. If anything it makes good wildlife habitat for critters that hide in the holes.

  • @kingofquartz yeah that's right! critters can hide in their if a bear is chasing them!

  • @AbaloneAndEggs

Whats crazy is one of the most dense black bear populations in Arkansas is in a area with lots of caves dug out by crystal miners. They use the caves as dens. Its gotten to the point I get a bit nervous going in those areas. Bears hear the digging going on and come to see what it is.

  • @arkansasgemcutter

You wouldnt happen to still have the link to the rutile blade with gold needles cluster would you? I have so many darn videos I cant find it. I got a couple more of those and I need to find the video so I can send a example to a buyer. Ruined my camera today... wacked the lens with a crystal.

  • Oh really! Then what about said hoses, sifting screen, and bars that are still there? And by the way you guys have alot of balls posting video of that spot. Ya know what I mean.

  • @TheAlanJessup

I have not been to the spot in over a year.. so maybe someone else left a mess. I certainly didnt leave a mess. Sounds like someone who doesnt know what they are doing has been up there if they left a sifting screen.

For some reason you seem angry.. why? People dig all over the national forest.. its not a big deal. You act like its some kind of crime. People have been digging there for 30 years and I'm sure they will be digging there for another 30.

  • Too bad folks can't seem to clean up the 'secret' spot.

  • @TheAlanJessup

What do you mean? Those hoses laying around are part of our gear... the hole usually has about 10 feet of water in it. We had to use a pump to get the majority of the water out and then use regular garden hoses to siphon out the rest.

Anything we pack in, we pack out.

  • @shamrokxls

Here is another from this same hole. Have not had time to update the title/info yet!
