@thoastrich From what I've researched you could get an R32 in an AWD trim from the factory. I'm aware that not all of them came with AWD and there's many other packages than just the GTR. But I'm pretty sure all the GTR packages came with AWD and HICAS.

On the R33 and R34 you would have to delete the front axles and do a couple other small electronic related mods. And if you have enough power you could still drift an AWD car anyway. But obviously the one in this vid is RWD.
@ShowTime450 The R32 came stock only RWD. Both the R33 and R34 you could simply pull a fuse and it would disable the LSD for the front wheels. Many R33 and R34 owners hooked a switch up to the fuse so they could switch drivetrain on the fly.

Every gtr they made, from r32 on up, had a separate rwd model called the gts.
No gtr's came rwd, they were all made awd.
And there is always the possibility that they took a gtr and modded the drivetrain to be rwd. And another thing. Formula D regulations does not let a car compete unless it has a rwd platform.

@enigmaPL traction control is only on the four door auto. R34 that I have seen over here so far , and as far as the R33 I have only seen trac. control on my friends auto. : ( I have a stick 95 R33 and all it has is HICAS that's it no traction control no nothing,

You can drift in an awd car, a lot of subaru's move the power from 45-55 ish to around 25-75s, the front pull makes it easier to set up the next angle, but there is more clutch work involved.
Most cars are pure rwd because its easier, and more cost effective
In my conception, RWD cars are powersliding and drifting (powersliding is more atributed to American Muscle cars) and 4WD are just "sliding", but this Skyline could be just RWD or just Stock ( stock transmision could give 95% to the back wheels... ( Sorry for my bad english )

Corvette is made for drag races that i don't see the point in, drag races take good shifting gears and clutching but no handling skill at all, drifting includes clutching and shifting gears while turning a corner in a really high speed, skyline is the flawless car and it's really simple because it's been prefered over corvettes by street racers

Dude what are you talking about. An Rb26 is pushed to the limits with the parts it has on it. Sure the block can handle 1000 horse power but thats only after you replace EVERYTHING on it. an Ls1 corvette alreaddy runs 11's stock with 40 grand pumped into one of those you would be makinfg 1500 horsepower at least.
the block can handle 1200 or maybe even more actually but once a supra is 1000 horse power the speed is insane, no effense I know corvettes are fast, and pumping 40k into one would be one ridiculous ride but the way the supra pulls at over 1000 horsepower is just retarded a corvette couldn't keep up, but hey thats just my experience I could be wrong, and I have yet to see a 1500 horsepower corvette on the street....therefore ill take my "lmao..um no" comment back and say fine maybe
the rotary would be on the rx7. the supra fetures the toyota "M" inline 6 from 1978-1992 where it was replaced by the 2jzgte. (the t doesnt denote a single turbo)
YA I realized that after I made the post got the two mixed up for a bit. I mostly only know Datsun's, Fords, and lancia's. I have a huge toyota bias. I just hate em. They frankly look like the fell into an ugly fire. But on the other topic about the only thing thats actually amazing about the RB26 is the amount of horsepower the cast iron block can hold before it needs to be strengthend. other than that it has some pretty major flaws.

I could tell you some horror stories about the Rb26, but I won't. Exactly what does the Toyota line have anymore thats even worthy of calling a car these days. They use to at least have the supra but they don't even have that anymore. The next best thing is what the Mr2? But v type engines are actually more efrficent at producing horsepower than any inline. it's a physics thing.

First, the 11 second corvette uses an LS7, a stock LS1 runs 13.3(ish) stock.
Also, an RB26 is underrated like crazy, they say it comes with 280hp just so they could sell the car over there, its actually 322hp. and its nowhere near its limits. those engines are good for up to 520whp bone stock. and the BLOCK is good for up to 1000.
so why even compare these cars? they are in totally different classes.
Your not gonna get 520 horsepower out of a rb26 in it's bone stock configuration. Uprgrades WILL be needed. IT is true that it runs factory tuned at 280 and simply overiding the limiter program on the ecm will free it up to 320. with a littile extra tunning you may be able to break 340 but you are never gonna get 520 stock. Ls1's are also capable of holding 1000 horsepower. Rbs are overated, they have constant oil and pressure problems and gas mialege is minimal, not to mention high maintenance
well i am going to have to step in to this one. rb26 with stock internal is going to hold up about 600hp so let say around 550whp, of course you will need to change the injectors,fuel pump,intercooler,boost controller,turbo and tune. But the rb26dett did made an output of 300whp so about 325hp in is stock form. the only reason it is rated at 280hp it's because of the 90's gentleman agrrement they had in japan, wich no car could have over 280hp. the toyota supra had 320hp but was rated at 280hp.
I don't debate that the stock internals can handle upwards of 500 horsepower nor do I debate that unlocking the restrictor can give a gain up to 320 HP. But like you said and I said in a previous post you will NEVER be able to simply tune the stock factory engine up to 500 HP Without some rather hefty fuel and air intake upgrades. Also the ecm will have to be recalibrated to accommodate the increase in fuel and air intake. 500 HP id impossible with simple tuning and no upgrades

4WD cars CANNOT drift. They can pseudo-drift, but it's NOT drifting. Drifting is STRICTLY RWD.

You can drift in an awd car, a lot of subaru's move the power from 45-55 ish to around 25-75s, the front pull makes it easier to set up the next angle, but there is more clutch work involved.
Most cars are pure rwd because its easier, and more cost effective

In my conception, RWD cars are powersliding and drifting (powersliding is more atributed to American Muscle cars) and 4WD are just "sliding", but this Skyline could be just RWD or just Stock ( stock transmision could give 95% to the back wheels... ( Sorry for my bad english )

Corvette is made for drag races that i don't see the point in, drag races take good shifting gears and clutching but no handling skill at all, drifting includes clutching and shifting gears while turning a corner in a really high speed, skyline is the flawless car and it's really simple because it's been prefered over corvettes by street racers

Dude what are you talking about. An Rb26 is pushed to the limits with the parts it has on it. Sure the block can handle 1000 horse power but thats only after you replace EVERYTHING on it. an Ls1 corvette alreaddy runs 11's stock with 40 grand pumped into one of those you would be makinfg 1500 horsepower at least.

the rotary would be on the rx7. the supra fetures the toyota "M" inline 6 from 1978-1992 where it was replaced by the 2jzgte. (the t doesnt denote a single turbo)

YA I realized that after I made the post got the two mixed up for a bit. I mostly only know Datsun's, Fords, and lancia's. I have a huge toyota bias. I just hate em. They frankly look like the fell into an ugly fire. But on the other topic about the only thing thats actually amazing about the RB26 is the amount of horsepower the cast iron block can hold before it needs to be strengthend. other than that it has some pretty major flaws.

I could tell you some horror stories about the Rb26, but I won't. Exactly what does the Toyota line have anymore thats even worthy of calling a car these days. They use to at least have the supra but they don't even have that anymore. The next best thing is what the Mr2? But v type engines are actually more efrficent at producing horsepower than any inline. it's a physics thing.

dude, i like corvettes and all, but that is the biggest crock of bull i have ever heard.
First, the 11 second corvette uses an LS7, a stock LS1 runs 13.3(ish) stock.
Also, an RB26 is underrated like crazy, they say it comes with 280hp just so they could sell the car over there, its actually 322hp. and its nowhere near its limits. those engines are good for up to 520whp bone stock. and the BLOCK is good for up to 1000.
so why even compare these cars? they are in totally different classes.

Your not gonna get 520 horsepower out of a rb26 in it's bone stock configuration. Uprgrades WILL be needed. IT is true that it runs factory tuned at 280 and simply overiding the limiter program on the ecm will free it up to 320. with a littile extra tunning you may be able to break 340 but you are never gonna get 520 stock. Ls1's are also capable of holding 1000 horsepower. Rbs are overated, they have constant oil and pressure problems and gas mialege is minimal, not to mention high maintenance

well i am going to have to step in to this one. rb26 with stock internal is going to hold up about 600hp so let say around 550whp, of course you will need to change the injectors,fuel pump,intercooler,boost controller,turbo and tune. But the rb26dett did made an output of 300whp so about 325hp in is stock form. the only reason it is rated at 280hp it's because of the 90's gentleman agrrement they had in japan, wich no car could have over 280hp. the toyota supra had 320hp but was rated at 280hp.

I don't debate that the stock internals can handle upwards of 500 horsepower nor do I debate that unlocking the restrictor can give a gain up to 320 HP. But like you said and I said in a previous post you will NEVER be able to simply tune the stock factory engine up to 500 HP Without some rather hefty fuel and air intake upgrades. Also the ecm will have to be recalibrated to accommodate the increase in fuel and air intake. 500 HP id impossible with simple tuning and no upgrades

It is US cars that have the top 2 track times for production model cars on the nurburgring which is one of the hardest proving ground tracks in germany. Those two cars were a Dodge viper and a Corvette. ;P And a civic handels like a spastic shit on ice.

negative. the top 2 are the SRT-10 ACR and the Maserati MC12. The corvette is 5th. and thats the ZR1, the Z06 is like way the hell down there.
Also, the SRT-10 ACR isnt a production car, Dodge just made that because they joined that one car club, ya know the one where everyone is pissed that the Nissan GT-R spanked their little asses.
