Barack's reason was that he thought it might tamper with Roe v. Wade, (and this I bought because he is protecting his base), but it boils down to this, that Barack Obama will not allow the rights of the unborn to infringe on the "rights" of the living. He will not allow legislation that gives rights to the unborn even if they have them. This is supposed to be a new civil rights president? America is in trouble.

The pro-aborts were also up in arms when they wanted to make it a double homicide to kill a pregnant woman because it was offering unborn children the status of being human beings. That would clear the way to stopping abortion and they said so. The gospel never places economics before morals. Obama says he is a Christian, but supports Planned Parenthood and their practice of killing babies. Obama was opposed to Illinois legislation in 2001, 2002 and 2003 that would have defined any aborted fetus that showed signs of life as a "born alive infant" entitled to legal protection, even if doctors believe it could not survive. Pro-lifers claimed it wasn't, but when bill was reworded to include protection for R v. W, guess what? They protested proving it was about abortion all along. We will be posting SB 1095 in a future video, the bill that Obama "claims" threatened to outlaw Roe v Wade (it does not even come close). He of course did not vote for it. The bill in this video post contain the abortion neutrality clause section Obama wanted -- but Obama still did not vote for it.

Let me aske you this- do you think the legislation was honestly not an attempt to overturn Roe v. Wade? Pro-lifers insisted it wasn't about abortion, until it included language to protect Roe v. Wade, then they protested.

bluestems, please read SB 1095 (which is very short) and then please post the section that "threatens" Roe v Wade and then please explain to us how it threatens Roe v Wade. You will see that there is nothing in the Bill that threatens Roe v Wade. Then, when the "neutrality clause" (section c in this video) was added to appease the "pro-choicers" vote for the bill, Obama would still not vote for it. There is nothing in the video that threatens Roe v Wade.
