Urumqi riot is not about indepdence or religion. It is caused by desparation. In Shaoguan, many Uighur were killed (not two) just because a Han posted a fake message Hans believed it. It was very clear, this riots got lots of help from internet and cell phone directing by outside criminals. Urumqi riot is not about indepdence or religion. It is caused by desparation. In Shaoguan, many Uighur were killed (not two) just because a Han posted a fake message Hans believed it. No ation were taken. Uighurs do not wage gurrellars wars like Kurds. They simly demonstrated to demand justice. Instead police crashed them, then demonstrators got out of control, riots separate everywhere cause mayhem. Uighurs in Xjinag just want to live in their own land peacefully wihtout discrimination.

Ugers complained discrimination yet they don't wish to learn chinese. How do you get good jobs without speaking chinese in China? You can say that in your own land. But Xinjiang is not Han's land. Can you go to US and demand English to speak Chinese? Do you really think most Hans in US can speak perfect English? Most Hans in US are only good enough to express themselves. your point is true. when someone cannot speak a language well, they generally get discriminated. Thus, immigrants to another land usually don't get good jobs first, but their 2nd generation would learn English well and prosper. Now, Uyghurs have 60 yrs and I wonder why they STILL can't speak Chinese well... Hmmm.... maybe they hope they will become independent soon? I do not want Uighurs to struggle, I want Uighurs to have peaceful life in Xinjiang. Don't involve Kader here, for no Uighurs have been thinking Kader when they demonstrated. Uighurs already knew you Hans are most cruel, and looking for excuses to kill Uighurs. But they never thought, by demonstrating with red flags to show they are loyal to gevernment, police will still fire on them. They thought they would be treated the same as in Shishou riot. Sure some Uighur mobs had indeed did some damages. But real bloodshed has happened only after police opened fire on them. Loss of Uighur lives angered Uighurs and some of them become out of control.

Heard when a intellectuals visited a part of south Xinjiang, they cound't stop crying looking at the state of the people. With inequalities widespread, riot may happen anywhere in China. Shishou riot is one of examples. However when Uighurs rioted, they will always be labeled as separatists. Uighur in Xinjiang never did Jihad, they simply demonstrated at first for the Shaoguan killing. One single bullet would turn those uneducated unemployed ones into killers, but still different from Jihad. Why put Kadeer into so much important place? You should care only about Uighurs in Xinjiang. When Uighurs in Urumqi demonstrated, if you have behaved like in Shishou and gave satisfactory answer without resolting to violence, Uighurs people would have felt so proud to be Chinese citizens.

That is exactly the sad part of the story. Everybody in Urumqi knows the cruelty of the police. What caused them so disparate to face police brutality. Seeing what has happened in Shaoguan on the web, they thought they have to do something. Put yourself into their shoes, could you foresee such a large scale bloodshed? Police shot, some angry people beat up innocent Hans (easy target), then police killed more (got excuse), then more Uighurs got angry killed more. Then full scale nightmare

The cause of the ShaoGuan killing is official, supplied by Chinese police investigation, reported around the world before the Urumqi riot. So no use to make up another lie here. Your problem is you will make up one lie, when this lies travel back to you, you will firmly believe it. I have read the official news and watched the video and pictures about Shao guan killing before the Urumqi riot. I was not surprised Han would do that, but I was shocked Uighurs would be victims of this dirty trick.

I saw another video, I believe, an Uighur girl being killed by Han mobs, but author removed voice and posted to claim Uighurs mobs were killing a Han girl.
