  • Love the Lions and I cry myself to sleep every night that LeShoure is injured (and will likely never return to the same skill level). Could have been the best RB in the NFL.

  • @utdwcd The power of a fullback and the speed and agility of a halfback... we haven't had that combination since Barry Sanders

  • lions win super bowl with upgrades to o-line, cornerback, and 1 linebacker. i hope lions can resign everyone though

  • Damn, between Mikel Leshoure, Jahvid Best, and Kevin Smith our running game will dominate. Our passing game is already scary. With a better O-line and maybe an improved secondary the Lions will be a complete team. Next year will be fun to watch, of course this year is too!

  • Shame we didn't get to see him on the field this year... oh well better luck with that next year, hopefully this guy gives Detroit a solid running game.

  • madden 12 fights for extra yards yes

  • cant wait to see him healthy go lions!!

  • nice cuzz aint jazz is proud

  • Preseason

  • this destroyed getting wins late in the playoffs hopefully we can still make it there but we will definetly make playoffs

  • @philsbootleg The packers, patriots, and saints dont have run games

  • @maxypooh15 packers are 15th in the league in rushing..they definable have a run game seeing that they already have top 5 passing game..know something about football before you comment plzz.

  • @gammster777 you don't know how to speak english, so please learn to do that before commenting. please.

  • This can't be good...dude just entered the league and already suffered a season-ending injury. How unfortunate! And to the idiots celebrating it: YOU'RE A BUNCH OF MORONS! (They must live in Minnesota.) My favorite team is the JETS, and even though I want our D to destroy Tom Brady, I don't LITERALLY mean it. VikingsRuler shouldn't be writing anything resembling trash-talk considering the season the Vikings had last year...LMFAO. xD

  • he just ruptured his Achilles tendon!!! noooooooooooooooo

  • Hopefully he'll make a full recovery from the injury. With the way he runs he'll have to, to be effective.

  • Compare this to best's footage in school, there is no comparison, BEST is the better back... but this guy will be great for change of pace and punching it in at the goal line... and there is always a chance that he'll excel with some coaching and either split with best, or be the everydown back, he certainly has the size to be an everydown back... but comparing the tape, he's got nothin' on Best.

  • @nickothompson i like Best more but Best had in general easier games in the west. My favorite RB ever is Barry Sanders so it figures I'd prefer best's style more.

  • @DannyAshcroft

    easier games in the WEST???

hahah his best games were against BIG10 schools.

he tore up michigan st and minnesota.are u retarded??? minn BEST 5 touchdowns. mich st 120 yards..vereen had 111 yards in the same game...haha big 10 was garbage..

his worst games were against USC and oregon..

against miami he had 186 yards..

trying to say it EASIER out west..........C'mon!!! its NOT

since jeff tedford has been at cal he is 8-0 against the big10..

  • Does a great job of keeping his feet moving, great vision, knows how to make people miss with what average speed he has, knows how to use his blockers, and doesn't hesitate when making decisions. Could definitely run 800+ yards his rookie season WHEN Best gets hurt again.

  • Stafford as the accurate, gunslinging leader, calvin is the jump ball/deep threat and titus young as the speedy across the field type receiver like desean jackson, best/leshoure as the smash and dash type duo, pettigrew is the reliable sure handed tight end that gets the job done. Our defense is gonna be unstoppable, the front 7 are gonna be so dominate we can have a average backfield and still be unstoppable. Lions all the way baby the silver crush is here to stay!!!

  • Giving lions thumbs up with the nfl 2011 draft and they signed Stephen Tulloch 160 Tackles BEAST.

  • Lions Goin to da SuperBowl

    HaHA

  • his running style reminds me of chris johnson... the way he makes his cuts. but he's bigger.

  • Soon to be seen in a Detroit Lions uniform!

  • Brandon Jacobs, except this guy doesn't fumble!

  • all you need is a good corner and stafford to stay healthy and the lions have a superbowl

  • @Layneismyhero1 that and some better LBs got one descent player in DeAndre levy and the rest below average

  • @NOsaints129 alphonso smith played pretty well last year if he can continue improving he can be a good player

  • @Layneismyhero1 he wasnt consistant had a good amount of picks but gave up a lot of big plays if he cuts down on those he will be a good player

  • Man, he's got a whole bunch of little subtle moves that don't look like much at first, but make just enough space for him to get by without an elite burst of top-end breakaway gear. The little hesitation @7:05 is great example of this.

  • This is a highlight of his explosive plays meaning big runs. It doesn't show the fact that he can push the pile and is a good tackle breaker. It also doesn't show a run he had against Northwestern where he stiff armed a guy in the backfield and went for like a 30 yard run. That clip is in the Best-LeShoure highlight that is on this site. He's a slasher with a mix of power and speed.

  • this guy is supposed to be a power back. im sorry people but i dont see it at all, a matter of fact i think the lions made a huge mistake giving up what they gave up to get this guy, just to complement best.

  • @lions66666 they didnt even give up alot at all. Swapped 4th round picks and i think 6ths. Thats nothing. And hes not supposed to be a "power back" just a back that doesnt shy away from contact and that will fight for more yardage, not a punishing back like brandon jacobs or peyton hillis. More like steven jackson

  • @lions66666 Yeah averaging 6ypc doesnt prove that at all. Watching him all 3 years i can only recall a handful of times he was taken down on first contact. And even when he was he always fell foward. On top of that he never fumbles. Although I can't find his career fumble stats online it wouldnt surprise me if he never fumbled and if he did fumble in college it wasn't more than once or twice. With 400+ rushing attempts in 3 years, thats impressive.

  • Lions r looking goooood baby

  • i definitely saw 5 broken tacles in the first minute,

  • I am a big time lions fan since the early 70's have watched the first 1:46 of this video all I can say is I have not seen him break 1 tackle so far looks like he goes down almost always on first contact. Not what I was hoping for huge holes to run thru. I wanted to see some tuff running & breaking tackles...... this video fails & will not watch the rest of it.

  • @BBBYpsi

Really? I saw atleast 5 broken tackles. Keep in mind that breaking a tackle isnt just lowering your head and becoming a battering ram, You see alot of LeShoure juking and stiff arming

  • @Elbozaburnin Wow 5 whole broken tackles in a 10 minute highlight film. Are you really serious saying that is good. Oh by the way in the pros he will not be able to juke that way he is slow check out his combine time only 4.54 Like I said he was going down on first person to make decent contact with him & this is his 10 min highlight film. Sorry but I was not one bit impressed. Believe me I hope I am wrong but to me does not look good.

  • @BBBYpsi

5 broken tackles in the first 1:46 and by the way 4.55 is not slow... it isnt breakaway fast but that isnt his game. Again I will say that you dont have to lower your head and run over a guy to break a tackle

  • @BBBYpsi dude 40 time doesn't mean shit dipshit.. INGRAM ran a 4.6... terell davis ran a 4.7 get the fuck outta here bitch

  • @untouchablemvj1982 Ingram has not proven nothing in the nfl yet & davis was 1 case over 10 yrs ago. Look at most of the good rb's in the nfl now. because of the speed of the defensive players the best rb's are peterson & johnson & they are blazers. Name 1 slow rb in the game right now that is a top tier rb. You cannot because in todays game they have to be quick & fast dip shit.

  • @BBBYpsi Brandon Jacobs, Steven Jackson, Legerett Blount, Marion Barber, Rashard Mendenhall, Pierre Thomas, Cedric Benson, Peyton Hillis, Shonn Green, Beanie Wells. All players who had slow 40 times. If you truly base NFL success on the 40 time than I'm glad you are'nt an NFL scout for my team. lol

  • @BBBYpsi Mendenahall, ray rice, ahmad bradshaw, jonathan stewart, knowshon moreno... terell davis ran a 4.7,... legarrett blount had 4.62 and had 1000 yards in 10 games.. your a dipshit you little fuckin bitch.. This guy reminds me of Mendenhall and is plenty fast, he may not be a blazer but fast enough at 230...... ding bat

  • @untouchablemvj1982 kiss my @ss you know nothing I have been watching rb's since the 60's call me a dipshit your the one. tell me how many good rb's has detroit had since early 70's any fucking idea douche bag. Let me tell you steve owens for just a couple years. then billy simms for only 3 years & barry for 10 years. so since 1970 41 years they have had a good back only 15 of 41 years. Believe me I hope I am wrong a few years ago I really wanted the lions to draft peterson & the next year cj rb

  • @BBBYpsi blow me fag, If we drafted AP we wouldn't have Calvin... the lions did right Best/Leshoure is gonna be dynamic.

  • @untouchablemvj1982 something wrong with you if you want another man to blow you. something really wrong with you. I am not disapointed in Calvin but AP is a much bigger impact player & difference maker.

  • Your hoping he doesn't have an impact in the NFL because you want Jahvid Best to get most of the carries. Both guy's will run well and complament each other.

  • epic ball security

  • Everyone needs to learn to say his name right. They're all like mi-kel(like the "mi" in mitten) and miiikel(like michael). It's mikel(like My Kel). Get it right because this kid is going to be scoring TDs like crazy for Detriot.

  • Not trying to hate, but I don't see this guy having very much impact in the NFL. Hope, for Detroit fans, that I am wrong. Jahvid the great! At second glance Leshoure looks like a poor man's Marshawn Lynch.

  • @medina23 Not even, He's not a poor mans anything, He will do fine with the Lions

  • Not trying to hate, but I don't see this guy having very much impact in the NFL. Hope, for Detroit fans, that I am wrong. Jahvid the great!

  • I think the nickname for the duo should be LeBest.

  • @issyrocks LeBest in the NFL.

  • Best + Leshoure = Bomb.

  • nice to see a running back who's not afraid of contact.

  • wats that song at 4:30?

  • My Spartans shut him down pretty well, but i think that was more of an O-line issue...his performance against Northwestern was unreal, 33 carries for 330 yards n 2 td's. Welcome to the lions bro!!

  • 1:06 & 3:24 - at first I thought this was the same play against Michigan...then I realized it's not, Michigan's D just sucks that bad.

  • 2:46 - "Move, bitch, get out the way!"

  • No fumbles!? With that many carries and hits and he is a beast.

  • 461 career touches without a SINGLE FUMBLE? Wow...

  • 1 person is a nervous packers fan

  • why lions pick this guy dont get me wrong he is awesome but you just got jahvid best you should of focused on O-line or something

  • @SwantonBOOM The Lions need more than one stud back. Best gives them outside presence and LeShoure will take it between the tackles . No longer is this league a one back league. Jahvid was injured practically 3/4s the year and you can't tell me Maurice Morris is the answer.

  • @IIXIISUPERIIXII ok hey im not a lions fan i dont follow them deeply i just thought that best was good to hold the RB spot and let you get some new talent in different areas

  • @SwantonBOOM Yeah, many Lions fans were wondering what were they thinking. But we really do need another solid runner. Jahvid Best can't handle the load by himself... We definitely needed a shut down corner. Hopefully we will find something in Free Agency. Plus the O Line needs some help. But our Defense this year is gonna be a BEAST !! Suh / Fairley / Vanden Bosch / Avril & Williams ~ bleacherreport(dot)com/articles/685445-defense-are-the-detroit-lions-building-a-silver-curtain

  • at 2:48 he owns his own teamate

  • He'll look great in that Honolulu #25

  • LOOK LIKE WE HAVE OUR RUNNING GAME BACK DETROIT!!!

  • I can't wait to see Detroit play. This is coming from a pats fan.

  • detroits gunna be dangerous

  • great ball security. can't wait for this guy to play in detroit i also really like his awareness of when he's about to be hit.

  • great ball security. can't wait for this guy to play in detroit

  • This dudes a boss! Welcome 2 Detroit!

  • Ndamukung Suh, Nick Fairley, Calvin Johnson, Titus Young, Jhavid Best, and Mikel Lshoure, Thats some good duos

  • @FootballandMusic81 Also Matthew Stafford dont sleep on him hes gonna be a beast

  • @FootballandMusic81 You forgot about vandenbosch lol

  • @FootballandMusic81 And they're all young, Lions D is gonna be amazing this year and if stafford stays 100% healthy all season there is no reason why we shouldn't win 11-12 games

  • @FootballandMusic81 Nick Fairley - Broke Foot, Mikel Leshoure - Out For Season, Titus Young - His leg is hurting out for Preason game vs Cinc

  • Cant wait For Madden 12

  • Javid Best 1300yds all purpose, Mikel Leshoure 1100 all purpose yds in 2011. Check it. This backfeild is dangerous!

  • I like the pick, RB was a need, but he could use some coachin. For a supposed BRUISER I didn't see him deliver any big hits, he needs to fall forward more with a little more "tackler dragging" He dances too much, leave that to Jahvid. I love that he had 461 carries and 0 fumbles.

  • Reminds me of Stephen Jackson :) GO LIONS

  • he is going to be a load for the lions. best rb in the draft.

  • Lions fans you had a great draft this year. A++

  • 9:20 is my fav, feels good to be a lion fan right now

  • lol...u dont need this guy to be a lights out runner. already got Best to do that. he's a compliment to Best. the lions didn't draft him to be Adrian Peterson yo'z!

  • oh DAMN 8:42 what a BEAST

    GO LIONS

  • Welcome To Detroit

  • Not a Rashard Mendenhall

  • Good pick but will he be able to make guys miss in the Nfl to keep that north/south style ? Should be interesting, size/good hands out of the b/f is a plus!!! Go LIONS!!

  • I don't see anything lights out like I did last year when I was watching Best Highlights.

However...I do see a back who has good vision for inside running lanes, knows when to juke and when to lower the shoulder, falls forward when tackled, and can obviosly be trusted to catch the ball.

Remember these are highlights. For those who question his power, check out the Leshoure vs Missouri video. You see his short yardage prowess from start.

  • DETROITTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT!

  • this guy is a buldozer thank god for him goin to the lions. now we have jahvid best (witch is fast) and then we have a buldozer Mikel Leshoure

  • @bmp701 bulldozer? I like the guy, but he does way more jukin than bulldozin.

  • what's the song that starts at 4:35??????

  • @rettigry11

not an original song, the beat is 50 cent "I'll whoop yo head" the weezy verse is from "Roger that" i think the dude on the chorus is Ron Brownz, the jeezy verse is jacked too

  • The Lions have the fourth hardest schedule this in 2011, I don't believe at all that it is "cake". Fortunately they should be good enough to get 8-10 wins.

  • hell yeah im glad he is in detroit ive seen him killin teams in the big ten with his power for the past 2 years.

  • i sure hope he plays this well for detroit next year

  • DETROIT LIONS go 10-6 this year and get into the playoffs ! I fucking guarantee it... with or without stafford... aas long as the lions adress the CB issue... without that I would say 8-8....take a peak at their schedule it's cake...this is the year for the Lions and they will begin a time of them no longer being the laughing stock of the NFL.

  • love the leshoure n fairley but confused by the titus young pick

  • @ericjon54 I thought the same thing but looking at it more.. we havent had production from a #3 receiver that other teams have year in and year out... It makes sense if we plan on signing a CB or OLB in free agency, if not, Ill be scratching my head too

  • @ericjon54 why you confused about the Titus young pick ... the lions need a second outside receiver, they ( on espn) said this was one of the best picks , im actually more surprised about Mikel Leshoure since they already have Java Best and Maurice morris ...

  • hes good but the lions dont need a rb

  • Thumbs up if you are here to scout the newest member of the Detroit Lions

  • I guess the Kevin Smith experiment in Detroit is over, eh? Too bad, I like ol' Kev.

  • Whoever thinks this guy is not a PERFECT FIT for the Lions is crazy. Think about it, sick receiving core, very gifted qb, amazing 1-2 combo at running back.. yeahhh the o line is average however we all know before the season begins the o line will be improved via free agency.. which means LeShoure and Best are going to be running all over the league GREAT PICK!!!!

  • @btb2424 what has stafford done??? He is always hurt? Dont blame O Line they were good last year!

  • TEAMS WILL SOON FEAR OUR BEASTLY TEAM

  • Welcome to the Lions!!

  • At first i wasnt crazy about the lions draft, but we should have an eagles like offense. Hopefully we get Greg Jones next pic

  • Gudd Pick! but we really should of went with a CB??? smh.

  • Comment removed

  • this guy is gonna be a perfect fit in detroit!! i was so hoping detroit would draft him!! lets go lions!

  • he use's speed when he can.. and he trys to hit you when he finds nowhere to go. welcome to Detroit.

  • The Lions got 3 great players. Now, we have an unstoppable defense, another good WR next to calvin Johnson, and a great running back to take more of the load of of Jahvid Best!

  • @95ryanj I personally like the Lions picks, however how can you say we have an "unstoppable defence".. We have a decent to above average d-line now, but we have nobody behind them. We really need some corners.

  • @TheHighlightReel777 Did you seriously just say we have a decent to above average defensive line? We had a top 5 dline last year and we added Fairley who is a beast. We will have a top 3 dline if not #1. You probably also think the lions have a bad offensive line too , right?

  • @TheHighlightReel777 thats what free agency and jon joseph/ike taylor are for

  • @TheHighlightReel777 You make a good point. Picking up a corner instead of Fairly may have been the better move. However, your defense is built around your d-line. The lions will be able to pressure the quarter back and stop the run more easily, and in turn, that leads to success.

  • @95ryanj I liked the pick of Fairley, he was the most talented player left at that point, and really strengthened our D-Line, but i was just saying that we need corners aswell. The Lions went in with too many needs to fill, so they drafted for value rather then need which was the correct choice. This is the best team of Lions in awhile, and if Stafford stays healthy we could have a great season, but saying we have "an unstoppable defence" is ridiculous.

  • @TheHighlightReel777 Understandable. But we will definitely be effective in stopping the run and controlling the QB. For the lions to have a winning season, Stafford has to stay healthy, our defense has to execute, Calvin Johnson has to be better integrated into the game plan, and we need a running game even with last year's, if not better. All of these are achievable.

  • @95ryanj But I think Titus Young nad maybe even Tim Toon will help CJ a great deal. Young might eventually be our biggest deep threat.

  • @95ryanj just picking your brain a bit but CJ had almost 1200 yards and 12 TDs. I think he was integrated into the gameplan well. 2-3 games he was thrown at for the winning TD. I agree with everything you said but I think it's play from the #2 and slot that we need more from, not more from CJ- don't get me wrong though, dude CJ could easily compete for top yards in the league next year if everything you mentioned does come to fruition.

  • It's great to see Lions fans excited again :)

  • Leshoure and Best= Thunder and Lightning. Can't wait!!! GO LIONS!!!

  • @Dhemi4life I don't know, I liked that we picked Titus, but we didn't need to move up for leshoure. We should have tried to improve in an area we really need some help in. Best is already proven to be a good RB and we have much more needs in other positions rather then RB.

  • @TheHighlightReel777 best is the home run guy. we needed a dude who could come in and be thunder to best's lightining, leshoure is that dude.

  • @TheHighlightReel777 The NFL today is filled with teams who have a 2-running back punch. Almost every single successful team out there has two running backs that complement each other. Best is a speedy guy who will break the big plays. Leshoure is the guy who will come in on 3rd down and short and bruise his way across the marker. Giving Leshoure 10 carries a game will keep Best's legs fresh and help reduce injury. The Lions did not have capable backups last year (Morris, Brown, and Felton).

  • @coffee7729 leshoure will b every down back, best will be our reggie bush

  • LIONS!

  • He's like a big Jahvid Best.....this might work out.

  • I'm hammered on Honolulu Blue Koolaide!!!

  • I'm hammered on Honolulu Blue Koolaide!!!

  • lions making some great moves... Monday Night Football is going to be nice third week of the season...

  • @joet714 MNF with the Lions is week 5 not 3

  • WELCOME TO DETROIT!

  • best and leshoure, thunder and lightning. watch out for the lions

  • Welcome to Detroit ~ where all the Kool Kids Play !!

  • @IIXIISUPERIIXII i got red around my mouth of kool fruit punch and my stomach full of lions cornbread baby HOW BOUT THEM LIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @foeasy16 BABY JESUS shining down on them there LIONS !!!

  • @IIXIISUPERIIXII DUDE I THINK YOU ARE RIGHT!!! OMG!! im so excited gooooooooooooooooooooooooooo FUCKING LIONS!!!

  • @letstouchballs Not sure how to respond to you with a name like "Lets Touch Balls." Hope your talking about Footballs ? Yeah them Dogs from Dtown gonna make that Kitty Purrrrrr this year.

  • @IIXIISUPERIIXII it is a funny name and weird its referring to playing pool.

  • He is on the Lions!!!

  • I watched this and my hair just stood up... round 2 starts in 1 hour and a half... And I see this guy being a cowboy...

  • I want to see more broken arm tackles!

  • looks to me that the hole is big because he makes the man in the hole miss.good vision

  • The best thing about Leshoure can't be expressed in videos: he did not fumble AT ALL in his entire college career. He gives your team ball security in addition to a hard-nosed, down hill runner. Someone will take him in the second and get a great, great back.

  • This video just shows that Leshoure should be #1 RB and a top ten pick in the draft

  • @gjpapada best n spiller are rookies...mccoy and woodhead aren't

  • ONE CUT back ! Dont do it Miami!!!

  • all the people doubting leshoure are probably the same people who doubted mendenhall and thought others were better. how did that work out for you? do you dock points off ingram because bama opened holes? its called an offensive line and the illini have some young-now older-beasts

  • great ability to make tacklers miss footwork and speed, but i like Ingram 2 hope the Patriots get either one of them

  • @123pansie Mark Ingram is #1 because he does not run by people like typical backs being drafted now he runs through them and can make good catches, through the tape you watch of mikel he runs with speed not power and makes easy catches go watch mark and you will see why hes #1

  • Not exactly a 'highlight' clip. A lot of the runs are nothing special. When you get blocking, you're going to get yards. He can make the first guy miss, but then he gets caught. Not truly elusive, and he doesn't carry guys either. No doubt very good in college, but if this is his best, then I'm not impressed for the NFL

  • he has good vision and a powerful runner, but he could just be the product of a very good line. most of those holes where huge

  • Breakaway speed? Ha! He almost always gets caught from behind. Maybe a 3rd down back at best. Plus when he gets hit he falls down right away. Wouldn't touch this guy or Imgram either.

  • WELCOME BABY!

  • My amateur football eyes see a runner with good vision, speed, and he keeps going through the play. The fantasy player in me would love to see him go somewhere with an opportunity to play like WAS or even IND.

  • I heard this guy on local radio this morning and he impressed me and seemed smart. So I looked into him, being an NIU fan it was sad to remember that i've seen him play before. But DAMN I honestly think whoever drafts him is getting the steal of the draft.

  • Don't get me wrong, I love the Woodhead - Green-Ellis combo but it wouldn't hurt to have this guy in the backfield..
