First of all, preaching a faithful Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ that exposes sin for what it is and points them to Christ . It would be safe to assume that you are perhaps an emergent church type of person. Scriptures reject those positions of universal salvation and a general belief in some god for salvation. I am convicted to hold to a more reverent and respectful approach when speaking of Divine matters, which the KJV helps me in.

Lets say my son rapes or murders someone.

If I were to try and absolve his crimes by torturing myself and then shooting myself in the head, does it change anything about the nature of his crimes and the punishment he deserves.

NO is the sensible answer I would think.

That's why I don't get the Jesus thing. Any Theist out there let me know how it works please.

God does not categorize sin as we do. Anything we do that fails to glorify God is sin. You and I were born dead to God because of our sin. God and His love has provided a way back to Himself through His beloved Son Jesus Christ. God gave the very best that He had, His own Son to become a sacrifice for your sin and mine. Since Jesus had no sin only He could be that perfect sacrifice for the sin of the world. Life is in the blood and He shed His blood. Our debt is huge and Jesus paid it.

I have an even better idea than preaching salvation. Preach birth control. Then these sinners offspring won't be born. There will no longer be a need for salvation within 120 yrs. Problem solved and God can be at peace since these sinners and their offspring will no longer be going around sinning.

People are so sinful and offensive to God. Might just be a good idea to be done with them. Then what????? Once there is nothing to criticize and condemn, then what? What's left? Stop reproducing..

Why not just repent from sin and receive forgiveness of sin, peace with the True God (of the Bible), and eternal life in heaven with He and His glorious Son, through faith in the burial, death, and resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ. That's what He desires. Repent from your pride, wickedness, rebellion, adulteries, slothfulness, hardness of heart. Humble yourselves under His mighty hand. Why not? What of that seems evil? God's Perfect will is for the good of all, and His glory. He is worthy.

Repent from my sin and do what?

Everyday more sinners will be born. Is that what you want? Birth control can eliminate sin forever.

Don't cry about my wickedness and ignore the fact that people just like me and you are being born everyday. Or won't these children born in 2009 need salvation from their sins? These ones born in 2009 aren't sinners?

It's ridiculous.... you'll probably be against abortion, but you'll call the same ones sinners and tell them they need to be saved from their sins.

Repent and honor your Creator, love the Redeemer, worship the King of Kings, bless His Holy Name, adore the Savior, commune with the Father, follow the Christ. I hope you see the beauty in that. The Lord Jesus Christ died for Sinners, past, present, and future that all may repent and believe in His finished work on the cross to appease God's holy wrath against sin - that you may be saved.

When people repent of their sins and become saved your life will be worthless and empty because you won't have anything to do with yourself. You just better hope the world doesn't all repent or you'll be one bored and useless man.

Like an old boxing champion. Just an empty shell of his past.

What will you do when the entire world repents and becomes saved? You'll have to dispute doctrine at that point I suppose???

Everybody didn't repent even while the Lord Jesus Christ was on earth, John the baptist, the Apostle Paul, etc... Too many love/want their sin (darkness) more than their Creator (light) because their deeds are evil. God will save those that humble themselves under His mighty forgiving hand, His way. His is God, there is none else.

A sinner would humble themselves when they see and understand who God is, what He did, what He will do, and our sinfulness. It takes humility to believe the True Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ, and that we aren't acceptable before God unless forgiven by faith in the finished work on the cross.

You seem very genuine in your question. However you have a wrong idea of what a Christian is. A Christian is one who has seen the awfulness of their sin before an infinitely holy God and has placed their complete trust on the Lord Jesus Christ alone for paying the penalty for their sins. The holiness of God demands a perfect payment and sacrifice for sin. The love of God provided that payment for sin in the person of His Son dying on the cross for you personally. Salvation is by faith.
