Dr. Hurt isn't Thomas Wayne. That was part of the Black Glove's attack on Batman, spreading disinformation to discredit the Wayne name and hurt Batman personally. So far his aliases include: Mangrove Pierce, Dr. Hurt, Barbatos, El Penitente. The Joker and the third evil Batman Replacement (that Hurt created) claim him to be the Devil. Hurt alluded to this possibility using metaphor only, claiming "I am the hole in things...the enemy, the piece that can never fit, there since the beginning,"
@Terrorfromtheyear5K I agree with everything you said. I just hope Morrison gives us a decent explanation to why the Devil is attacking Bruce Wayne after all this is over. He has to have a motive or I'm going to feel cheated after all this is over.

I really hope another writer reverses a lot of the garbage being thrown out by Morrison, who should never have been allowed this much leeway with the greatest super-hero mythos of all time. I know, I know: "DEWD Grant Morrison is GAWD!!!! If U dont lyke it dont reed it." Save the troll flames. I just hope some of this will be undone when another writer comes along. Don't get me wrong. I like Morrison, but he is hugely overrated and is far too self-indulgent.

@generaldark Yeah, I know. Batman was really boring for the 7 decades before Grant came along. That's why the character has been so unsuccessful. : ) (I'm not being serious).
@Stepper11 One could argue that Grant Morrison has put his stamp on the character, and can be considered one of the most important Batman writers, up there with Miller and O'Neil. I dropped out when Tony Daniel started as artist, but there's no denying that he's brought some important ideas to the mythos. Breathing life into Damien being the most impressive.
@Cacti88 so maybe he should only do graphic novels if you need to read 42 issues to pick up on the current one im not sure that style is very reader friendly
you guys are much better than comic book club. i like those guys, but they JUST review comics, where you get much more indepth, discuss books in a much more open way and you're more honest about all the bullshit. much more entertaining than just saying 'i liked this comic', eh?

@generaldark i spose it was that but i really hated pyg with his random phrases like 'sexy disco hot' or something like that and i think there was one panel where id didnt have a clue what was coming out of batmans hip-i think it was a leg but im not sure. ive also read his arkham asylum and i wasnt into that either. ill gladly read something of his if it changed my mind-any suggestions?
@KroliggBloodhoof well the random phrases pyg used was to just show how weird the charecter is. i too did not care for arkham asylum so i your not alone on that one. the invisibles is a great series he wrote. jla earth 2 and joe the barbarian are nice stuff. also all star superman. i highley recommend the invisibles.

You guys need to read BnR #12 it was great. Its a shame you guys won't appreciate it though. You would have needed to read the Red Hood arc to understand. Some of the details. A lot of plot elements from other books as well comes to fruition in it

B&R has been great and the bat titles look like they are going into interesting directions. DC is going to do something new with a great character and they have the balls to do it.
