Ignoring sergey197029 stupid comment, it looks ok, theres not really a threat to the fish because its not efficiant. The bubbles are not being dissolved before leaving the tank so the injections not really having an effect. One bubble per seconds a good stating point, but thats for an efficiant system using a reactor diffuser etc.
You also want a check valve on the pipe as well, better still, Co2 graded pipe instead of air pipe will make it more efficiant also.
fucking idiot... you have no bottle to wash the co2 ... your fishes .. wannba eat the co2 bubbles cause they smell... are unwashed.. noob.. make it right.. i bet your fishes are all dead ..xD
@Francheska7778 ,first amswer >> yes, second >> nothing ( if too much they will die, otherwise they wont be affected ) (( please dont ask how much is too much )) :)
@liv4daoutdoors ,if i dont get enough pressure now, about one hour after preparing the mix, when will i have?it takes about a minute to start pushing some bubbles out of the stone and the flow is not very strong, but this was just a test anyway :)
you should have made a rough co2 filter by using another water filled with clean water this filters out all the alcohol created by the yeast and also stops the co2 from affecting the ph
@starthi ,i did it for two reasons,1, in my opinion i didnt have enough plants to keep injecting CO2 and,2,adding CO2 would lower the PH of the water and that would force me to make changes in the tank to mantain the PH value under control. As i said,i removed it soon after but it should last for 10/15 days.
@creuzerm hey thnks for ur reply, i hav a new question. i dont hav a UV light for my planted tank. im currently using normal light from the tank it already had. do u know if plants can use tht light for growing/ photosy.... ? wht light do u use? thnks for ur reply i really appreciate
Hi gauthamme,no i didnt, bacause i removed it from the tank after one hour or so,to be able to see any difference it would take atleast,2 to 4 weeks to see some improvements :)
@pauloninja85 Dude you can really take care of these fish , i hve a problem anything i put in my tank gold fish eat it. i have 2 plecos in my goldfish tank i tried algae wafers but goldfish eat it and dont let the plecos eat it what do i do?? ooh is it ok if i subscribed you? thanks.
since this video is kinda old idk if you have changed it already or not but if you havent, you should make a co2 reactor... will disolve a lot more co2 before it reaches the surface.
Kelret,i dont have plants anymore because i moved to cichlids some time ago,i always liked plants very much and i miss all that green in the tank but now all i have are some rocks and bogwood :( you are right about the reactor, anyone who wishes to start CO2 should make or buy a reactor :)
graeme,i dont have them no more because i moved to cichlids, later i had one angel fish that killed one of these two black ones and he was really mean, worse than these two together!I miss the red tail shark :(
bahaha its not rare to mix them are u serious! lmao. nice tank . minus well go tank co2 tho its much easier to maintain. the bps fluctuates too much with diy. let alone your one bottle cant push much for long. add one more so you can switch um out if u continue this diy . good stuff tho we all went through it
hey nice red tail shark, ive got 1 too and a albino shark exactly the same size, very rare. people say its imposible 2 put them together..but i did it.
Ok dude here's the thing. Logic doesn't let me believe either one of those stories.
If you leave the CO2 the SAME at night AND the plant's produce CO2 the CO2 is going to CHANGE causing your pH to change.
If you CARE get a co2 and pH test and test the affects at night.
Then try adding an airpump that turns ON at night you would probably have the best results as this would balance out the Co2 by releasing it much faster.
Fish360,to me what makes more sense is:during the day O2 off and CO2 on and during the night O2 on and CO2 off,in my oppinion, during the day we dont need to add O2 because plants are producing O2 already and instead we should add CO2 to act as "fuel" to make or to help plants producing O2 and during the night we need to add O2 to,again, act as "fuel" to help plants produce CO2.The logic here is not adding to the tank what the tank is already producing, hope this helps :)
Lilmanz54,believe me,im not so lucky with plants as you might think,in fact, for one reason or another i had to remove almost all of them as you can see in my newer videos :(im not using co2 in my tank, what you see in the video was just a test.
Hi f1sh360,instead of telling you what to do im going to tell you WHY some ppl say you should turn the CO2 off at night. The reason is that plants during the day use CO2 and produce O2 and at night use O2 and produce CO2(Photosynthesis)thats also why some ppl say to turn off any air pump during the day,the unit you have doesnt have a solenoide so you´ll just leave it"always on":)Im not an expert in this matter so i advise you to search more info and with some common sense, you´ll do just fine :)
I would reccomend disconnecting it at night. I made a diy setup and just simply put a check valve inline with the inlet tube so i could disconnect it. the only reason is I was worried that the co2 levels could become toxic to the fish at night considering the plants produce co2 at that time. but if you have plenty of airation you should be fine with this setup.
That co2 is just a waste of your time and a waste of water/sugar/yeast. All those bubbles are just getting wasted going straight to the top then popping, no co2 is getting dissolved into the tank.
In a few days here i'm going to make a video of my co2 Diffuser which dissolves all the co2 into the water, it will make it way more benefitial and any co2 in the tank is good for the plants even if you only have a few plants.
I must disagree with you. i have ONE bacopa plant in my 12 gallon, and it WOULD NOT GROW. i made a DIY co2 injector, and as a result, the stubborn plant grew about 1.5 inches in 1 week. CO2 will just about ALWAYS benefit an aquarium with ANY number of plants.. just have to make sure the CO2 level doesnt get toxic.
my plants were growing bugger all, til' i made the exact setup as in this video. the plants shot up like a crackwhore in a toilet. the Co2 IS diffusing into the water, just not as well as it would in a proper setup which would probably cost you more to do.
I could not agree more with everything you said,riptor3086,but i was just trying to see if i could get it to work to someday,if i need co2 i know how to do it and to give other people an idea of how it works and the materials i used.
