  • those looked like just pendys haha but whatever you're still good :)

  • learn to toe pre properly mate, you'll flat spot your wheels just doing constant 90 degree slides. and theyre more like pendys not pre drifts

  • Is that like 15 mph?

  • Those 'orange' wheels have turned purple!

  • stop

  • hey is the avenger good for freeride?

  • shorter predrifts = taking the corner faster

  • Dont take them past the 90, it will give you more control of when you want to pull it back.

  • sexy

  • Smooth!

  • More like a huge bs Coleman, dudes.

  • @phlespaul no, toeside pre-drifts is what they were, dude.

  • im not a longboarder.. but im planning on becoming one...i just have one question.. i could be wrong, but oh well :) isnt this bad for your wheels? it sounds like it scraping them off :S

  • @MickyDdrummer yeah it could be considered bad. But personally i enjoy wearing my wheels. Sliding is another part of longoarding

  • @XXFAINTPLAYERXX hay i may be comming up on an avenger but i wanna know how you like it for sliding and free riding i already know its awesome for dh

  • @MickyDdrummer sliding is one of the many ways to have fun longboarding! it also looks cool and helps slow you down.

  • @MickyDdrummer most wheels nowadays are made to be able to slide with minimal wear

  • @itsakadoozy95 ehhh. Sorta

  • @XXFAINTPLAYERXX well look at any freeride wheel...their whole purpose is to slide

  • @MickyDdrummer almost all of the sound that you can hear are his slide gloves

  • @MickyDdrummer that sound isnt his wheels but his slide gloves

  • @MickyDdrummer its the slide pucks on there hands im sponsord by a local shop and yeah its bad for your wheels in causes them to cone thats when they turn the shape of a cone and they do tend to wear down after alot of intense riding that is also why you get harder wheels. i recomend landyatch zombie hawgs 84a there hard but slip a little bit grippy for the hills

  • @MickyDdrummer the main noise is the sliding gloves

  • @MickyDdrummer lol i think ur hearing their gloves ? XD

  • @MickyDdrummer that sound is coming from his gloves

  • @MickyDdrummer its not the wheel its the sound on the puck

  • @MickyDdrummer It's bad in the sense that they do wear, but sliding is fun! (and challenging depending on your skill level and how techy u wanna get with it). And like the other comment says, urethane (the material the wheels r made of) is made to last. Some thanes r better than others, but generally, wheel companies r always trying to make a better wheel. The "scraping" (friction) is what reduces ur speed, which is a very important skill to have when going fast. And it looks cool! :) good luck

  • @MickyDdrummer This is what makes longboarding fun its called a slide

  • Who cares if it's a pendi. Still pretty sick man!

  • your wheels slide so smooth!

  • i mean.. i thought those were pretty sick

  • nice predrifts guys they look awesome

  • is it good for sliding or is it a bit hard

  • not bad, but they weren't that big though.

  • @SlickMullet rofl sure bro, where's your vid?

  • @dontmugurself roflmfao, those were pretty average pre-drifts "bro"

  • @SlickMullet still not seein your vid but w/e. you're cool I guess...these are pretty legit pre drifts is what you mean, he literally got so far into it that he was past 90 degrees, thats a solid drift, but you gotta hate I don't get it.

  • @dontmugurself lol, where are you finding this hate of mine? there is no hate here man, yeah they were good drifts, but the weren't "huge" you need to relax man, there is not hate here.... but laying back as far as you can and getting "far into it" doesn't make a pre-drift a good pre-drift, neither does going past 90 degrees. i guess if style points is all you're going for then maybe.

  • the words "huge" and "predrift" shouldnt be in the same sentence together.

  • @MrCheabra pretty sure this video is perfectly described....

  • @MrCheabra yeah i know. This was back a while ago when we just did slides for fun not for racing.

  • @MrCheabra Why not? if you need to do a fat gnarly pre-drift to slow down then you do

  • Comment removed

  • @TheOnlyTrueHumdinger Because pre-drifting implies racing, and in downhill racing you want to keep the highest speed you can control through corners. Not freeriding huge slides for style, you want to charge through corners with as much grip and control to fly through them.

  • @chrisisawfullyfresh but still you might NEED to do a fat gnarly predrift to slow down to that fastest speed

  • @TheOnlyTrueHumdinger Yeah nope. They'll pull the shallowest slide they can to keep from washing out into the barriers. Watch an actual downhill race. They'll pull the widest slides only at the very latest possible for the harder turns. Usually they pull teeny like 10 degree checks with only the back wheels breaking loose and pulling it back in and out to scrub off some speed. No one actually racing would ever pull a slide that slow.

  • @chrisisawfullyfresh ok i get what your sayin

  • @chrisisawfullyfresh If only your back wheels break loose then you highside and die. It only looks like that because they slide at a slight angle so that they are still turning while sliding.

  • Really sick toeside. Is all about the speed man...

  • Nice spot...But ...its just "NORMAL" toeside predrift...not huge...

  • @ultramagneticalistic thanks...really usefull!!! I got it now

  • steezin hard bro

  • how fast are you guys going?

  • @EverythingAE not that fast, but its a really steep hill.

  • ahhh nice but dont start pendying at the end...

Predrift look way cleaner if your keep the board at a 30isch° angle to the road

  • not bad, but keep it cleaner, you are making it look like a pendy. But great work

  • @TheDonLau pendy drifts = max steez haha

  • WOW. this would be a sick add for Rayne. You should go for a sponsership deal if you are not already.

  • nice! Diggin' those Motion Stickers!

  • @MotionBoardshop yeah haha, We all have them. And thanks.

  • TEACH ME

  • SIICKKK

  • how do you make it pendy???

  • @wstlclimb you bring it back

  • @runinpoop Yeah...but I mean.. how do you bring it back

  • @wstlclimb if you pick something to look at in front of you as u go into the slide and stay looking at the, keep your shoulders square and it will come back around.

  • @XXFAINTPLAYERXX thanks I'll try it!

  • Yea man don't wanna down the stoke, but u r doin a pendy, that's ok cause with a little practice u will nail it. But u guys look pretty sweet at boarding, try kicking ur back foot for sliding.

  • Where do you guys skate?

  • I would not call these predrifts, but more of pendies. Try to hold it sideways more and hit ur apex better. Sweet video though

  • Pro Pro Pro Pro Pro Pro Pro Pro Pro Pro Pro Pro Pro Pro Pro Pro Pro Pro Pro Pro Pro Pro Pro Pro Pro Pro Pro Pro Pro Pro Pro Pro Pro Pro Pro Pro Pro Pro Pro Pro Pro Pro

  • or "full size" or something like that.

  • so whenever i go into my predrift, i can never bring it back around and i kill my speed. i fix this how??

  • @monkieboi88 well once you go into the slide keep your head down the hill pick a thing to look at and it will naturally come back. if that doesn't work then i would recommend more speed

  • @XXFAINTPLAYERXX okey doke. thanks bro. ill keep practicing.

  • @XXFAINTPLAYERXX how tall are you? just wondering cause im getting a rayne avenger and i dont know if it will be too short

  • @monkieboi88 also when you come out of it try to equal out the pressure or put some more pressure on your back foot and then the wheels should catch and come back. and this is just something ive heard but u can also try instead of sucking your back foot in push your front foot out but i dont see this working

  • @theasianpearexpress ok. ill give it a shot today. sounds like a good idea

  • @monkieboi88 the whole idea of the predrift is to kill speed. if you are getting mad that its killing all of your speed you're obviously not going fast enough

  • @fullycustom88 not really getting mad. im just unable to bring it back to my center and cant ride off

  • its a good slide but not huge i would say its rather small

  • It's a nice toe side training movie for me !

    Thank you :)

  • Maybe change the name to 'rather large' because on YouTube they dont look that big
