  • look on wikipedia for a list (too many to list here)...they didn't mention Solid by Ashford & Simpson.

  • De La Soul didn't directly sample "Solid", they sampled "Lyte as a Rock" by MC Lyte, which sampled "Solid". MC Lyte was the one who repeated the "as" in "as a rock" as you hear it here.
