Many many happy days and evenings spent watching Eric & Ernie on the BBC... Always made me and the family roar with laughter, jolly good clean fun and the sketches ''wot Ernie wrote'' were hilarious too... Singing, comeday and really good friends in real life too.. This must be somewhere between 1967-80. BBC had them in there heyday 1970's. I was a teenager then, today i'm 52 and loved these 2 guys, they were brilliant. Sadly Eric 1984 and Ernie 1999. So miss, thier fun and laughter. This film must be nearly 40 years old, about 1973. Great to see it again.

They alternated the closing song with either this, Bring Me Sunshine, Don't You Agree, Positive Thinking and Just Around the Corner. Some of the BBC tv episodes even started with an orchestral version of "Two of a Kind" instead of Bring Me Sunshine.

Personally I've always loved Following You Around more than Bring Me Sunshine.

The Sunshine Boys was a Neil Simon play about old vaudevillians, later adapted into a film starring George Burns and Walter Matthau. To have seen Morecambe and Wise in a Neil Simon play would have the funniest production ever recorded, in my opinion. I can imagine it now:

They would have been perfect as his "Sunshine Boys." I think it's great to see young people who love Morecambe and Wise and who appreciate their brand of humour.
