Regarding Matt 24 and the "end of the age", you are right on! However, you then say that "eternal life" cannot be received by your own works, but that the only way YOU can get it is if YOU put your own trust in Christ. How is that not a "good work"?
Salvation has nothing to do with you. It is by grace through the faith OF Christ that that saves you. This faith will eventually be given to ALL creation so that they will be set free from the bondage of corruption into the children of God.
Yes He told them to look out for several of the events before the end e.g. false Christs, rumors of wars and including their own martyrdom before the end... but check to see if "He said to Peter, James and John... when you see Jerusalem surrounded by armies." I think you might have misquoted since they were dead by 70AD... does He not at that point become more general and says "let him who is on the housetop" or "woe to those" so as to imply that they would not live to see that end?
Part 3- You "committed all the sins after you became a Christian"? What are you saying? You became a Christian and then went out killing people getting involved in witchcraft etc.? I would hope you were exaggerating. But if not I wish you would have explained what you meant... because most people won't know what you are talking about.
God doesn't make a difference between sins. Consequences, yes...sins, no. "If we have transgressed one of the commandments, we have transgressed them all. To lust is to commit adultery in your heart. Therefore, if you have lusted, then you have committed adultery, and therefore have transgressed all the commandments, yes, even after having become a Christian. Thank God He sees us as holy because of the cross. That's grace. Being the righteousness of God in spite of my self. :)
Yeah I wish you would have explained that within your video. I'm hesitant to link to it on my facebook page in case my non-Christian friends will hear your comment and without the explaination-- will totally butcher it for their own purposes.
Im not worried about it. I preached the word and God is sovereign. If this is His way of hiding truth from those He doesn't want to understand, then I am cool with that.
It would be hidden if you'd say it and people would not understand it. A poor explaination is poorly justified by an appeal to God's sovereignity. The "depravity of man" might be a better explaination.
And why you would appeal to that depravity in the context of your Matt. 24 explaination seems mysterious and out of context to me.
I realize it seems that way to you. Which is why I encourage you to watch more videos. :) A person can't explain everything in 30 minutes, my friend. :) Try it some time.
Your comments make no sense to me. Could you please write in a clearer, more decipherable manner? Also, you write with such negativity. Where is the joy? Where is confidence in the truth? Where do you use Scripture to defend your position? Nowhere. So, take some time off. Give it a rest. And come back when you are more stable.
When one earthquake happens in San Francisco, the newspaper doesn't have to record all the earthquakes everywhere at the same time. In other words, Acts mentions an earthquake, famine, false prophets, false Christs. What more do you need. Especially look at my section on false christs and the Gospel being preached in all the world.

Your persuasion has shifted from dispensationalist to preterist yet your arrogance has remained the same?
Is that an American thing or a "pastor" thing? Or a "depravity of man" thing?
Definately not sovereignity of God.

Didn't it say famines and earthquakes in VARIOUS places? Then why does it only mention 1 earthquake and 1 famine in Acts?
