Surely it has to be done in the most humane and hygienic manner .What do you think?
Cutting of the most sexually sensate skin of the genitals and creating a wound has nothing to do with humane manners or hygiene. When done to a person who is still a child and doesn't yet fully understand what that part of their body is for, it is a violation of that child's human rights.
Between consenting and fully informed adults I have no problem.

Circumcision a happy occasion? For whom? The circumciser who gets paid (blood money). Perhaps in a perverted way for the circumcised adults who are able to "normalize" their surgically reduced genitals by passing on to the next generation the same mutilation that was enforced upon them when they were children. Circumcision is a "happy occasion" only if you deny the reality of what circumcision actually is.
