Yeah this movie reeked of ass but if u watched the first 2 and enjoyed them u are kind of forced to watch this to see what happens, although you will hate yourself for it afterwords.
Ths was the funniest "Review" I've ever heard!! Quite frankly, one of the funniest things I've heard in a while and what makes it better is Poltergeist III is on now!
The boyfriend was left in the other side, only Tom Skerit and his family walked out. The Boyfriend does not walk out with them. So he was left on the other side.
When I was a wee boy of 6 this movie gave me nightmares. When I was a wee man of 22 it creeped me out, but in the end it was depressingly bad. But Zelda does save the day with her lack of effort.
This film is awesome, when I was a nipper my friend and I watched it over and over, we even counted how many times the names Carol Ann was mentioned...forget now! it made no sense but the mirror effects are cool!
I agree, this film ( as Im not american ) had its weaknesses, and I find 11 the best of them, but, showboating satire aside, the themes in the trilogy are getting into areas that the usual favourites dont get near, despite the hollywood mainstream production feel and too many unys.
Poltergiest 1 was the best. The others were not as good with out Dana the older sister played by Dominique Dunne. Her ex-boyfriend murdered her 3 month after the movie was finished.
Oh come on, the movie wasn't that bad. Though, the filler crap was total bullshit. Otherwise, I didn't think it was so bad.
It's not like the same crappy Santa Clause horror movie that's shown between Halloween and Christmas or worse, Troll 2. Hell, it's not even as low as Child's Play. Then again, Child's Play is more like a macabre comedy than a horror, so I can't say that was a bad series.
The "Poltergeist curse" is the rumor of a supposed curse attached to the Poltergeist motion picture series and its stars. The rumor is superstition largely derived from the fact that four cast members died in the six years between the release of the first film and the release of the third, with one dying during production of the second film. Two of them died at young ages,
The first one was the worst, after Carol Anne goes missing it gets incredibly boring for about 40 minutes until the mother ventures into the unknown to rescue her.
Also in Poltergeist III Kane looks like Angus Young from AC/DC in his school boy outfit.
This is one of the sacriest film I have ever seen. Mind you, I saw it when I was about twelve. But I've seen it again now (I'm 32) and I didn't find it that stupid. Every time I look into a mirror, I dread to think that my reflection does something different than I do.
Many people didn't like this movie much but I loved it. Year, I expected more action/suspense scenes but I wasn't disappointed at all. the idea with Poltergeist in big city was great and Heather O'Rourke did a wonderful job (again). Plus I love Tom Skerritt ("Alien") and Nancy Allen (RoboCop trilogy, "The Philadelphia Experiment") very much. Zelda Rubinstein was cool too.
i recently watched this movie this is discusting into day stands , what a creepy old man that reverend kane was im in my 20s know and i watched this his a sick creepy old man, in general i wouldnt want some creep like that his so sick they should be ashamed, fancy a reverend going after a 5 year old its so sick that sicko.
the ending bloody ruined this film they should of just put the original ending on it , yea supposibly the effects on it were shity or summing but it would of been better than that crappy ending
Just a correction: The movie actually did finish filming before Heather O'Rourke died. She died before MGM could re-shoot the ending. The original ending (with Heather O'Rourke) is likely buried in the MGM vaults. MGM, when asked about this, would only say "No comment."
@shitcasecinema Italian then, was such a brief exchange of words in that scene, I picked it up as turkish. Funny description you made of Tom Skerrit, for no reason crabs her crops and throws it onto the floor. :) Followed by your own reenactment, you do a good 'TANGINA' Impression btw :)
I also piss myself everytime I hear it, thanks so much for sharing that! I cannot believe a dubbing could actually be that bad, had they wanted to make it more unprofessional and ludicrous, they couldn't have LOL
Great review! I heard they are releasing a multi featured special 5 disc version of poltergeist 3. God knows what will be on it. Maybe the number of goon henry kane wanna be's that applied for the role will be on there. Tan an Gina in sounded non english I think. Films that dont make sense are usually the funniest hence quite a lot of the films on shitcase cinema. Nanu Nanu?
ah a personal favourite among crappy films. wouilda loved to know how the movie shouldve ended. oh well. henry kane was a legend in 2, in this he's another goon. good on tom skeritt for attacking the film for ruining his career haha. rip heather o'rourke. that last pic of her looked a bit like a doll. 10/10 one of your best matey
@irishnllmk No. The actress who died after the first POLTERGEIST film was Dominique Dunne, who played the elder sister. If I recall, she was murdered outside her home by her disgruntled ex-boyfriend.
@shitcasecinema Yeah, strangely enough. For whatever reason, the FX crew used REAL skeletons during the production of the first film. How messed up is that?
@shitcasecinema Great review fella...Just to add to the curse of the Poltergeist death count of the cast, that Indian guy 'Taylor' from the second film died from cancer after Poltergeist 2 release too....guess that's why Poltergeist 4 has never been considered!
First I was like: "FUCK YEAH". but after watching it...Im confused because I never seen this movie before and to be honest, after your review...I have no fuckin idea what was this movie about...It seems that you assumed that everyone allready seen this movie ...but not really. .....anyway ...
