  • hi im studying audio engineering, so i kwon the principles of the dummy head sound, im trying to build one but im not getting the results for the vertical direction sound, cause the ears of my head doesnt have a nice external ear, can you give me some advises? ive already try it making a replica of my ears using silicon...

  • digdagga . com/dummy

  • Awesome 5 +stars

  • Hi mate, I just wanted to let you know that I'm astounded by this recording. Especially letting the rassle sound on every side of one's "ears" and the continuous beat to the right made it a real feeling of a binaural recording. Ah, and at the end, tossing the paper ball to the listener's corner was also great! =)

Thanks loads. We do need more works like these, too bad I'm much of a newbie for that. Best wishes from Rio de Janeiro!!!! =)

  • I wish there were more videos like this!

  • Congratulations man ! it's just great ! all ideas clue just amazing !

did you use a dummy head ? what microphones ? details plz !

    Congrats again !

  • Thanks! Yes, a dummy head, with silicone molds of my own ears. For this video I used Radio Shack electret condenser mics ($3.50).

  • Thanks for answering. Wow ! good to know that is possible to do it with inexpensive mics.

you must record a complete binaural album !

    Regards !

  • Was that for recording the guitar?

They sell condenser mics for that cheap?

  • Yes, all tracks were recorded using the cheap condensers. They're cheap, but you have to wire them yourself. It's pretty easy if you follow the directions.

  • Wire as in make your own wire connecting to a power strip or just connect the cable to a mixer.

I don't know if you're meaning a strictly DIY project or plug and play hehe.

  • Wow it ist realy unbelivable. The sound of the Ball...

  • jeff, are you ever going to post some old outhouse songs? do it...bring em back =)

  • Awesome. I'm aware the music industry already uses this technology but I really wish its used more often and fully. And this would be AWESOME if implemented into films (creepier horror films anyone?)
