The reason people hate Jimmie Johnson is because he's the product of NASCAR's Chase format. Before 2004 you had to run solid all season to earn the championship. Now 10 races determine a champion?? No, because that's fucking stupid. Johnson would have won only 2 championships under the old system and they wouldn't have even been consecutive! I'm sorry but Jimmie Johnson is not a true NASCAR champion. Leave it to Brian France to butcher his grandfather's dream.

I'm not a huge JJ fan, I just want to know why everybody hates him so much. If I had to guess, I think its because he is in the spotlight. But if you look back to guys like Earnhardt Sr., he was in the spotlight alot but showed much more personality and was fun to watch, unlike people like JJ who is very "cookie cutter" shows basic personality. Am I right right?
