Myself, ever since Medieval (1) and Shogun, I've always played Very Hard and M2TW was the first one that actually gave me a bit of a challenge consistently. Rome, the Romans were just broken. M2TW was decently balanced between centralization and lots of enemies, or isolation and lots of land to cover.

Then i atacked and conquered poland, and then siezed France... At this point i realized it was like WW2, so i continued... I atacked Italy, and the Mongols, who had at this point taken rusia, started to advance into my lands, along with spanish and moorish forces... England is in the islands, and denmark is mine, so yeah. WW2
