I played this song as an introduction to a radioshow I had for six years, 97-03! Why? Because it's one of the greatest songs of all time and I felt an obligation to share it with the listeners who grew up to late.
There was an in concert on BBC of the guys be great if someone still had that. Also re Alexis Korner the album "Bootleg Him" gives a great insight over the influence this man had on the British rock scene. A real legend.
Crank this beauty up and it'll blow anything, and I mean ANYTHING off the face of the earth!! I loved it in '71 and love it 10 times more now. You just can't get anything like this now. Thanks for posting this Carl.
At 2:15, the dude at far right in the picture is danish guitarist Jorgen Thorup. He played a big part in CCS with his dirty, broken-down Fender guitar. Also sang. Died last year.
yeah....Peter Thorup! actually a great Bluesmusician...he was headhunted by Alexis Korner...they worked together first in the group Kingdom Come, in a short time Brian Jones was a part in some of their jamsessions...then CCS....and at last in SNAPE (a trio with Korner & Thorup in front...touring USA)
Thanks for the memories...great record
