Can anyone tell me if this game can be played offline, or do you need to be online if you want to play it? I bought a copy and it said everything needs to be played online even a skirmish vs all computers and even the campaign.

in multiplayer you get a base but no builder units. its liek an orbital relay with a chaple barraks combined. the graphics are SO mutch beter. they have a cover system. they also go alittle bit by the codex with three man squads of ,marines and them being pretty tuff.

RIGHT! Whoever has got this game, why when i click launch game on the steam acoount thingy does it say preparing to launch game for about 15 MINUTES! and then just got back to the desktop screen n do nothing! Someone please help me out!

then it must be your computer or system...try a swep...if ur PC is almost full on memory RAM or hard disk then it could be that cuz i launch it throught steam and in only seconds the game is open

I just don't like to see marines killed. I play DOW 2 but my marines don't die I care for the lives of my marines some times I lose 3 or 5 marines in one play but it's fine R.I.P. my brave Space Marines!!!!!!!

Ahhh assualt marines.

Personally I'd keep my majority of soldiers as tactical marines (fully upgraded) and heavy bolters with the start scout and maybe an assualt squad as support.

I just went to my device manager selected what i needed right clicked and chose to update them, doesnt sound like much but if you realy want to be sure you might need to see an expert in a computer repair shop or something.

Finally, a game that agrees with my idea! I always try to preserve every unit that costs something to replace in any strategy game. And if they are wounded I always try to heal them. But how many squads can you have total?

@blahblah3133 the population cap is 100 and i think that the amount of people in a squad count as pop not the squad

@blahblah3133 the troop count is 100 but the units take up heaps of troop count one tactical marine squad with only 3 people take up 15 troop count

Yup, they are usefull to use later to infiltrate and snatch vic points from the opponent, and having casualties is never a good idea
