  • That's... really impressive.

I like the error in the end. Non-exhaustive patterns to Haskell are sort of what segfaults are to C :P

  • nario bros.???

  • Just checked out your source: 1649 non-comment LOC, jeezus thats small!

  • Tring to enter the sewer eh? :D When you dont program it, it couldnt happen. :P

  • Lololol, I like that cuz my last name is Haskell and I want a job in computer technology

  • how come you'r using windows? use a git gui, midnight commander, gedit, gnome terminal emulator, (make), (ghc) ...

  • nice video

  • THE FLAGPOLE IS A LIE ! ! !

  • THE CLOUDS ARE BUSHES!!

  • No tienes vida hermano!!! Felicidades!!!

  • How does the map-system work?

  • @lpasepok I've used Data.List!

  • @ItsaMeMartin Nario=not+mario

  • @ItsaMeMartin You're so observant. Unfortunately, the point is that it's not actually MARIO. He named it differently because it is only SIMILAR. Pay attention.

  • Nice. So, Haskell can be fun, too.

What font are you using in Emacs? Thanks.

  • @egarrulo Probably, it is k12x10 font. Please google "k12x10.gif".

    Now, I use normal MSGothic...

  • I liked the music a lot, would you please tell us the name of the band and song? please! BTW that's a great software, never heard of this program till now.

  • @auflehnen The music is 'holic' made by igrek-U.

Please google 'holic igrek-U'. You can find his web site, and on YouTube!

  • Hahaha:

    Non-exhaustic patterns in function loop

One of the few runtime errors in Haskell programming. Use -Wall and GHC tells you when you have non-exhaustic patterns at compile time.

  • pretty good!

  • 1:47 owned

  • lol funny shit in the end

  • That's neat. :o

    Thumbs up!

  • Would you please credit the music. I'd like to know who it is from.

  • This is awesome and scary.

  • is hackshell Japanese?

  • Did you use linux graphic library ?

  • nario? lul

  • Incredible man. Just incredible. :)

  • i love the idea of functional languages.

After dealing with a lot of threading hell it would be nice to imagine that one day we can work in something like haskell, and insert allocation hints for C-like control over efficiency *without* obfuscating the program's meaning

  • I have programmed in haskell and this is incredible. Great job!

  • Can i ask 2 questions.

1 - Is Haskell easy to learn if i start now

2 - How long did you take to make that and if that was dificult...so Does it worth

to learn this or i should keep continue in C++

  • 1 - Yes, Haskell is easy. Haskell has no side effect, so you don't have to care about it.

    2 - I recommend Haskell than C++.

  • so can you tell me a good link to learn that...

  • How about "learnyouahaskell dot

     com" ?

  • @mokehehe

C is one of the easiest programming languages to pick up. Haskell is among the hardest. You can very easily find yourself neck deep in graduate level combinatorics

  • @frother Just like many opinions yours is wrong.

  • @mikbetk You're an idiot

  • @frother See, another wrong opinion.

  • @xaros2009me2010 Haskell is conceptually VERY DIFFERENT from C++

  • What a nice Job, congrats! 5 stars man, 5 stars :)

  • it's so amazing. Nice job :D

    thanks for your share

  • very good job!

i'm currently into learning haskell in my spare time, so.. do you have some suggestion about textbooks? many thanks

  • I recommend "Programming in Haskell", Graham Hutton. It is good book.

  • coming along nicely...

  • what song is this??

  • hi,

what kind of shell commander are you using? It looks like midnight commander but has windows context menu. That's pretty slick!

    Thanks

  • It's just like Windows Explorer. Context menu is active, so you can pop up menu.

I use "あふ", just google "System AKT afx download".

  • Comment removed

  • I love that you can write stuff with non-english characters in Haskell! :D

  • nice ! especially the end ^^

    what is the music ?

  • you are genius!

  • This looks awesome! Where did you get all of the sprites and backgrounds?

  • > This looks awesome! Where did you get all of

    > the sprites and backgrounds?

he probably did what I did, when I used to do this sort of stuff - fire up an emulator, and copy them pixel by pixel.

  • > ur fucking stupid

    What?

For writing a program to copy the artwork directly from an emulator?

Of course this is what he did, unless he wanted to duplicate the work entirely be hand. You've never done graphics on an 8 bit system. It's nothing like doing modern day graphics.

  • > ur still fucking stupid!

And idiot's position doesn't carry much weight.

I don't see what could possibly be stupid about what I said, and to prove it, I challenge you to explain what is stupid about what I said.

Morons about on the internet and the truly stupid stay stupid, because they don't recognize their own lack of intelligence so they can learn what they don't know condemning them to be ignorant throughout life.

  • Very nice! Sorry to ask, but what is haskell??

  • Haskell is a programming language (a purely functional one).

  • A town

  • its a town

  • Thanks for comments!

The title of BGM is "holic"

I try to write URL in this comment, but blocked for system reason?

  • The list of his songs is

    w ww.niconicommons. jp/user/677

(Sorry but I blocked to write URL directly.)

  • Nice job! BTW. what's this background music called?

  • @stiocus The music is 'holic' made by igrek-U.

    Please google 'holic igrek-U'.

  • @mokehehe Thanks, I think I've got my answer on reddit two years ago. ;-)

  • I cannot wait to look at the code.

  • It's beautiful

  • nice!, congratulations i think is great!.
