Im so glad that they finally fixed up the Downtown Grand Rapids for the last few years after it has been rundown as Downtown Lansing, Now its Lansing's turn to have their Downtown Makeover, Its still sad down there.

How about creating something useful. seriously, just because you do drugs and come up with something stupid (art, as they call it) doesn't mean you should ever get paid for it. what is Grand Rapids becomming? a bunch of momosexual loving hippies!

@winintheflop06 ....and the darkside of Grand Rapids shows it's ugly face. And you say this isn't useful? How about thinking of this as an annual 3 week boost to GRs economy? Or the fact that it is basically a parade of homes for a lot of unused commercial space? I have a hard time imagining an event that could better accomplish these things.

This could be great for Grand Rapids. But, visitors and some residents have trouble finding their way around downtown. A "Directions and Information" booth (with helpful humans inside) is needed at or near Rosa Parks Circles. I hope Rick and his staff the best. Hey Rick, if you read this, ask mayor Heartwell about an information booth I am proposing for downtown Grand Rapids. In your own words: "We will be having a lot of people coming and seeing Grand Rapids for the first time..."

I totally agree, I try to image this thing a few years in after artists and public have had some time to figure it out and really plan for it... It'll be awesome this fall but should grow into something truly spectacular in the years to come!
