1. above ground, mario jumps on koopa

2. hits shell into water

3. shell gets in tube because of leak

4. look out luigi!

5. luigi sues bowser for 300 coins and a mushroom

It was a odd glitch that had something to do with mirror mode.

A cpu fired it but the game made to go the wrong way.

There is NO ramp after the tube. By which I mean, there is no wall, or no gap or anything. If you actually travel backwards, there is NOTHING stopping the red shell, so it's very possible for a red shell to have travelled back through the tube.

the ItemBox is above a ramp. i takes some time until you rolled an item but after this you are already far away from this point. i know Bots are hackers but they dont turn around and shot or something like that <.<

2. Bots usually turn around in the middle of the track and then fire a Red Shell backwards, right?

3. It's a replay, so it's Grand Prix, not online

4. If you are too lazy to read the description, "Watch at 0:12, and you will see the first Item Box. It's impossible to throw a Red Shell backwards into the tube from there, since there is another jump before the tube, and Red Shells can't ricochet off walls."

and the cpu does strange things sometimes

last on n64 mario raceway you cant jump the wall right.. well i was in first place having a good lead of about 5 secs and got a bomb right in front of me..

no one can throw that far and since a invisible blocks you`re jumps i find it hard to believe they throwed the bomb over there

and once more the game has a high glitch rate

What's suspicious is that this isn't a replay. Most people don't record themselves like that - but it's possible.

Also, who said this had to be Grand Prix? It could easily have been in versus mode with other people.

This IS a replay, and it is Grand Prix. Even if it would have been versus mode, it is impossible to go backwards from the starting line. Read my older comments and you will see how that is impossible ;)

For everyone thinking the red shell was thrown backwards, it couldnt have been because redshells dont follow the road when going backwards. Since there are turns on the way from the point it showed up and the item boxes it's impossible that someone threw a red shell. Plus the pipe ends with a jump.....its AAA....AAA has come to your game to take first place in all time attack stages.

Here's a theory. If you fire a shell right before entering the pipe, it flies off into the nirvana. Maybe it landed back on the track or in the pipe itself and then started tracking the person in front of the one that threw the shell.

did u look at the map? what if someone turned around in the begining, found a way up to the end of the pipe, grabed an itembox, got som red shells and fired them in the pipe, and then dissconected or something

This is the first lap, and the first item box is on the first jump, and can therefore not be thrown backwards.

Also, there is another jump right after the tube, that also indicates that throwing it backwards is not possible ^_^
