It's good to have a break away from the 'bullet absorbing tenacity' of the last 5 years. The better army 'simulation' that had been available for some time was... "America's Army" for PC. That was good, and AA3 was a really good leap forwards. That required SOME tactics.

I noticed in Halo3 - for example - if you camped to snipe, you were heckled by others.

CoD4 - wait around and get randomly wasted. No tactics that were obvious, just opportunities.

This one is good, I welcome it =D.

This game is designed to more realistically depict actual modern warfare. Its not like CoD where your bullets go on and on forever on a flat vector, exactly where you aim. I really enjoy this game, I just wish the sniping was more realistic, although it is more so than 99% of other games.

Thanks for telling me about this game because I wasn't sure about buying it. It looks like you do alot of walking around killing small patrols here and there. It doesn't feel like a large scale battle with China. Looks like you control a small team when you should have a platoon or a company size group moving on the screen. I'm surprise the enemy doesn't react to gun fire from a distance they just go about guarding and twiddling their thumbs. The enemy seems like they do no counter attack.

keep in mind this is footage of a game that was in development when it was taken, and will be in development until october, they will surely expand on the graphics, and this video truly doesn't show the games potential, for example, when watching this did you think once that it would be an open world game? or were you aware that the game will include a map editor and weapon editor plus over 70 customizable weapons? there's really nothing crappy about it.

ARMA 2 will never come to XBOX with full support. The game is so complex that a keyboard is almost required to play the game. Your best and only hope for a military simulator on XBOX is OFP 2.

I think it was a good idea not to put Jets as player controlled, because they kinda screwed it up in the other ones (that includes ArmA). It was too hard to control and wasn't that fun (IMO). I wouldn't go nearly as far as to say ofp2 sucks.
