@dwyrin yea i know a whats even worse is that it has a 250 watt power supply and a good old ati radeon (ati has good graphics cards) takes a 400 WATT!
@dwyrin Yea for the processor but my graphics card is GARBAGE! i can't even run need for speed most wanted (that is a game from 2005) with a nVidia GeForce 6150SE!
@ANDREWSLETSPLAYS Wow. That's impressively old. $50 would get you a better graphics card. $100 and you'd be set to play whatever you want... good luck
See THIS is why i'm happy to have a single core processor. But its the 4th WORST that AMD makes! but It runs this game WWWWWWWAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYY better than it would with a duel core processor :)!
I think since you have consistently had low demand for high wealth commercial office and high wealth residential, that you are planning to use this city as a "stepping stone" and that your next city (north of industry, access to industry and this city via highway) will be exclusively high tech, high wealth, with plenty of high wealth commercial office. Skyscrapers? :D
@BasesLoaded123 I wasn't going for speed in these episodes but rather, I wanted to show how to deal with problems. 100k population is real easy to get with a zone this size. With something like this the real goal should be how quick you can get 1m citizens. But good job nonetheless!
What I would like to see: A region-city, where each city in the region is mostly self-sustaining, but has something that it can contribute to the region as a whole, be it extra industry, commerce, or housing for neighboring cities. Each group of cities influences those around them. The center group should be the most developed, essentially making the core of the region a mass metropolis with lower density cities surrounding the main hub. Of course, trans-city highways are key for this strategy.
@showboatRTS You have a lot of really nice ideas there, many of which i had already intended to use. I think you'll be pleased with how the region develops.

How did you get SC4 to run on Windows 7? I have Windows 7 and I can't get it to run!
themafia306 10 months ago
It only took me like 30 sim years to get to 100k population.
Tips:
Add all basic services except water) in the beginning.
Add water at 1,000 population.
Add the high school (but the small one) when you earn the large HS.
Add the city college when you earn the university.
Upgrade buildings when they're overfilled.
Zone Low density until 1k, zone Medium Density until 26k. Zone mostly high density after 26k pop.
For industry, just zone all high density IN A SEPARATE CITY!!! This avoids pollution.
