i knew a guy in my school called Collingham, he was the son of Qatari finance minister..

we both used to go in same school. he use to use the embassy prestigious car after school, the embassy car used to pick him up..

he regularly went to Qatar as free tickets from the plane 1st class.. While I only went beck home every 1s a year (if I am lucky) at a economy class

Yesterday it cost me less than $20.00 to pump 14 gallons into my Toyota 4-Runner.

I remember a few months ago it cost me almost $50.00 to fill it up. But this has anything to do with OPEC. It's the oil companies, like Shell, that decide how much to charge the consumers. One month it's $1.25for premium, the next month it's $5.00 for regular.

This is the independent variable, whereas the supply and demand are dependent on the affects of prices.

Yeah taxes are high in Europe, but for a good reason. There isn't the same type of cheep oil supply here as the US has enjoyed over the years and the envoirmental movement is stronger here. Remove those taxes and we will all suffer for it in the long run, even if you ignore the envoirmental aspect there is always Peak Oil to look forward to :)
