  • Супер!

  • @LoVeKsUsHkA Thanks!

  • I was right about to go try this on my drums but as soon as i get downstairs i see a tarantula right next to my kit, im to scared to play my drums now :/ This sucks.

  • @tameemz90 I laughed so hard when I read this comment...seriously. Thank you for this and I feel bad for you...truly I do.

  • Dude your an awesome drummer! I LOVE the way those toms sound, what mics are you using? Also what kit and cymbals? Your on a pros level!

  • @tameemz90 Actually all of my mic, cymbal and kit details are in my profile description if you want to check it out. Thank you for your kind words. I'm glad you enjoyed this cover! Take care.

  • soo boooooringgg

  • @skylineomareclipse Sorry to have wasted your time but thanks for the view. I appreciate it!

  • @wildbill1240 fuck someone hack my account i never see maroon 5 videos ....

  • @skylineomareclipse haha, ok...you don't have to be embarrased if you've watched this stuff... There is way worse stuff to listen to! Though I understand your feeling because I used to be embarrased of it.. I mean, at least I don't listen to Madonna, right?

  • very good

  • @jameeqq Thank you much!

  • nnniiiicccceeee u pwn

  • @drummerhero4652 Thanks....I appreciate it!

  • Wow i like the disco light ! ;) HEHE

  • @mads32 So do I....

  • Woooow. Wow. Amazing, you seem so relaxed :)) "Like".

  • @94Kani Thank you. I'm glad you liked it.

  • what a great sound!!!

  • @hybrid212 Thanks a lot, I appreciate it!

  • bro i would kill for that kit. your a great drummer man . props man.

  • @junjlejimman Thanks a lot. I'm glad you enjoyed this...it was one of my first videos....

  • this is great man. i'm a drummer and i'm really critical but this is really frickin good. proprs man. and niceeee kit. can you tell me a lil about the drums you're using?

  • @Herletters1216 Thank you very much. That means a lot to me. It is a Yamaha Maple Custom. I listed the sizes in my profile if you want the details or just message me for any more details you want. Thanks again for the comment. Take care.

  • What kind of snare drum are you using? I'm looking in to buying a snare drum that can come close to the maroon 5 drummer's snare? Are you using a 5x14 Brass Sensitone Elite? Please comment - thanks

  • @jonalvarado It is a 13" brass Pearl Piccolo. It was on clearance for 90 bucks... I like the high crack you get out of it... best of luck finding the right one!

  • holy crist man... thats alot of cymbals... good job

  • @FireBoom1 yeah, it's fun to have lots of things to hit. Thanks for the comment.

  • nice toms

  • Gooood! :D

  • I dont know which video I like better.. this one, or your Fully Alive cover. Very tough choice. Either way, I still love them both. Excellent job

  • Actually, I don't know either. I like them both, too. If I had to pick though, I guess it's this one because it has more views....

  • Awsome cover dude. Just a little thing. I know this video is over two years old and I'm not sure if you picked up on it from this video, but on rolls, wether buzz or say doubles, your pinky is flying off the stick. Hold on to the bugger and you'll have better stick control and increase your speed.

  • Hey, thanks for the tip! You are very observant, and correct. True, it was a few years ago, but old habits die hard. I recently rearranged my kit and I think it is more easy to move around now. It wasn't too natural playing my ride cymbal in this video, but I will definitely concentrate on keeping my pinky more controlled. I try to get a good bounce off of my fingers when my wrist snaps. That's the way I was taught, anyway. Thanks again and take care!

  • dude, you're one of the only drummers that uses all the cymbals and drums that they put up. everyone else always goes to that one drum and cymbal they like and hit that one only. you utilize your kit so well.

  • Well thank you. I appreciate the comment, and I'm glad you noticed. People often say I have too much stuff but I feel like I can utilize it all. Don't get me wrong, I can make do with less, but it's just not as fun!

  • thats alot of drums...

  • Bro listen ... :) you GOT to do a video on how you Tune those drums. Come on man... sweet!

  • Hey Mike, I think you have convinced me that this is something important. I always get messages about how I tune my drums. A video would be a quick way to answer all of those questions. I'll certainly try to work on that over Christmas! Oh, and thank you SO MUCH for the review on Amazon. It is a much less lonely page now... I'm going to be away from the computer for a few days but I'll get back to you later. Have a good one!

  • Bravissimo! :)

  • manda muito !!!!parabens

  • nice drumming dude

  • nice but work on the mix level bring the track up a bit but solid drummin

  • thanks, yeah this was one of my first covers so I think my later videos are better mixes...

  • Great video love it 10/10 Toms are nice no kids so tuned. How did you tuned it so well, i tried tuning but i can't seem to get it to the right pitch.

  • Thanks! Glad you like it so much. Well, I just tune it until I get a good pitch that rings forever. I think the extra layers of maple in this drum set help make that warm sound. And Evans heads are just great... sorry, hope that helps!

  • Your toms sond amazing! Perfectly tuned! :D

  • thank you! I think the EC2s are just great!

  • Ur very good. I love this song. The sound quality is among the best on YT. Awesome!!

  • Well thank you very much! This is one of my first covers and I think I have improved on the sound but it sure beats most of the camera microphones on youtube, haha!

  • nice job!!

  • thank you!

  • what about Dream theater stuff?

you playing awesome man. so i think you should try the portnoy stuff.

  • I do like Dream theater. The problem is that Mike Portnoy is already very busy an it can be hard to play over top of him. I usually prefer to play something simple so I can make it fancy over top...but I'll consider it.

  • omg thats a llooot of drums!!!

  • but they're so fun....

  • i bet they are!!!!!

but i would get sooooo confused!!! lol

  • awesomee!

  • that was brill. Love the fill-ins

  • thanks, glad you liked it!

  • AAA++++

  • nice job-u r the best drummer ever ---where do ulive-cause i would love to see u play-write back

  • how long have you been playin drums?

  • a little over ten years

  • Nicccee! i love the toms. i have a pearl MASTERS Series with stock heads. i wanna buy new heads but i dont know which ones to buy. i think im gonna go with ec2s, i heard they have a nice deep sound. but dude i think you should make more cover videos. what did you mike the kit with?

  • ahh, Master's series are nice. I bet it sounds great. I use a ton of mics, they're all listed in my profile.

  • Wow that is AWESOME... also what type of headphones are they vic firth drumming headphones? nice cover

  • hey! thanks a lot. They are vic firth headphones. I highly recommend them.

  • truly awesome

    5*

  • your toms sound great! what heads?

  • thanks! Evans EC2s - details in profile...

  • btw the resonance on your toms is brilliant! It's nice to see a drummer who's not muffling everything up..

  • Sounds very awesome my friend...May I suggest something tho? Try scaling your set down to maybe snare + bass + 1 tom, hats and a ride.

I did this and it really forced me to get the funk out!

  • thank you very much. Actually, I play on a 4 piece kit when I gig and I know what you mean - it really forces you to get more technique out of a few instruments. I think the saying goes that "less is more" and it really is true...I just have fun with all the toys in the comfort of my basement!

  • Is that your Pearl Piccolo? I bought the 13"x3" brass this past week and am blown away by the bright tone (even with the stock Remos)!..

What kind are you using here?

  • This is the 13" brass Pearl Piccolo. Same as yours! I love it...probably my favorite. I used it in my band's video (the Worship Everywhere video) and it has a HUGE, bright tone to it... unmatchable.

  • TOO many fills

  • Sounds awesome. Great, funky improv. as well. What heads are you using on your snare?

  • Hey, thanks a lot. Glad you liked it. I'm just using a Remo Coated Ambassador on it (rest of the details are in my profile!). Take care.

  • Great video!!!

Love the song.. plus your style..!!

    awesome compromisation..!!..

    SOUNDS GREAT!!!!

    ..

your drumming + mixing + sound recording skills are so awesome!!!

  • Thank you so much David! I appreciate it!

  • i love the sound of your highest tom

  • AMAZING!!!

  • You rock! What a gift!! I'd love to hear you play to The Who- "Who Are You". Just an absolutely amazing gift.

  • I really like this cover.

    I love this song

    you have good taste. :)

  • love the disco lights, haha. I bet you're just fooling around with fills, we know that we gotta pull back alittle when performing with a band.

  • yep, just having fun. you do have to be a lot more laid back with the band or else you start to ruin the music. thanks for the comment!

  • Thats not even close to the beat...You can always tell a jazz drummer.. To busy.

  • wow that drum sets sexy! i need to get me one a those.

  • those toms r jus heavenly!

and i hav no idea y the groove sounds dry in the 1st min....

    nice stuff nevertheless! :)

  • very nice drumming. I love the timings of your high hat patterns

  • it sucks cuz there's so many good drummers out there and u look at the ones in big named bands and they suck some drummers have luck some don't to bad its the bad ones with the luck

  • I completely agree. That pisses me off so much. I cant watch MTV without feelin that way lol.

  • Damn Bill, ur a beast period and easily have the one of the best sounding sets on YouTube. By the way, im gonna steal ur drumset cause its amazing, so watch out! 5 Stars.

  • haha, ok, I'll be looking for you!

  • Why do I feel that you chorus sounds a little jazzy? o.o

  • sorry on 2.03

  • ahahaha on 2.06 its like eulogy...great bill...great...awesome

  • Hey Giannis, good ear! Yep, you can use that eulogy pattern ANYWHERE and it sounds great....thanks Danny Carey...

  • awesome fucking drum kit can u plese label and name all the cymbals and toms please that would help why u would need that much shit

  • thanks...all of the details are in my profile. And it's not a matter of needing but more of wanting...cymbals are just fun to have, why not?

  • amen ahaha. and your amazing. keep it up. i hope to someday be this good.

  • you must have a real good job, those cymbals are not cheap! what kind of drums are those? try not playing behind the beat so much...overall not to bad.

  • dude u rule why u not in a band i dont no:P

  • actually I should update the video info because I am in a band now...our song is featured in my profile. thanks!

  • Heey nice dude:D, could you tell me what kind of drumheads you have on you're toms, they really sound great thnx:D

  • thank you very much. They are Evans EC2s. All of the other details are in my profile. Take care.

  • dang dude, thats freakin sick. u own that song bro. haha

  • ha, thanks a lot. maroon 5 songs are just fun to jam over top of. you can fit fills in anywhere.

  • thats sweet

  • All I have to say is ...Groovin'!!

  • wow. i know playing drums is not very easy, we are trying to teach our friend (10-years old) to play drums just a little bit.. its very hard. :P

  • very natural feeling. you got the groove in ya, man!

  • 5 stars!

  • Great job on your playing...

your feel is sweet and fluid.

  • NICE!!!

  • WOW! Really good;-) wish i could play like you

  • Hey man what brand of mics do you use at the toms please answer me....thanks

  • hello, I answer every single person who leaves a comment. I use Sennheiser E604s on the toms and the rest of the details are in my profile. Take it easy!

  • Thanks

  • love your playing but dont like the sound of your toms they sound a little to electric for my taste but your playing is great

  • Great job you are going to succeed if this is your calling. I hope to see you in a live show. Keep up your good work.

  • what symbols, heads do you use?

  • wow

  • awesome, u've redeemed the song. unfortunately, the album itself is so over-produced, none of the instruments sound live to me, anymore.

  • Great!... but... the chorus is played in the hihats... not in ride cymbal...

    So much loops... but great.

  • looking at u play..looking at the kit..listening...i feel so envious. hahaha.

  • Join a band as a????????? Drummer good job.

  • nice one!

  • perfect!!

  • DUDE YOU ROCK. Amazing Gift. Keep it up!!!

  • wow--

  • nice job man

  • that sounds awesome :)

  • Tight but I don't like the fact that you're using twin...

  • which mixer do u have?

    i have a behringer eurodesk sl2442fx pro

and i am recording my music too, but i dont have drums, only mic (voice) and guitar!

  • Sweet drum set! Are all those just Carashes and Ride symbols?

  • that's quite easy.

  • Amazing

  • sweet drum set i have 1 just like that

  • wat brand is ur double bass

  • great sound wat brand is ur drum mics and mixing desk

  • love the fill at 1:50, and there's a lot of room sound in your drum mix, or your overheads are really live? What bitrate did u upload at?

  • good ears, I send the snare and overheads through a reverb bus. It helps make it sound sweet. I uploaded a 60 MB mpeg with audio encoded at 192 kbps, and youtube puked out what you hear now...

  • I wouldnt call it vomit, its all in sync and sounds great. I'm tryin to do a similar thing with my PTools rig. Its when I load it up it looks like crap and not synced.

  • well done man very cool..

see ive been playing drums for 4 years and i couldnt do that.

  • Guy! Very tasteful style. You listen to Dave Weckl?

  • well, my drum teacher was a Weckl fan, so maybe that rubbed off somehow...ha, thanks for the compliment

  • Awesome drumming man!

  • great!

  • dude you're awesome!

  • Awesome drumming... How did you putt the sound in after playing it... The answer I want is if you used a computer programme like Movie Maker...

    Chrisser90

  • Hey, thanks for the compliment, and I use Pro Tools to track the audio and then import the wave file into Adobe Premier to sync up and export. I suppose Movie Maker could do the same thing just as easily.

  • Ok thanks :-p... Check out my video's at Chrissser90 ;-)...

    Chrisser90

  • Sorry I meant Chrisser90...

  • you are working way too hard for such a simple song. try cleaning it up a little bit. very nice though.

  • Nice video mate, went to see Maroon 5 last night as it was ;p

Aye, well done, nice tight playing, loving the fills :)

  • Just added: download the uncompressed version from link in the video description. You should notice a BIG difference.

  • Man i dream about drumming that good that was awesome. Not keen on the song but the way you played it just made it a million times better 5stars from me keep it up.

  • diggin the lights dude

  • dude, u kick ass. I think maroon 5's drummer would hide his face and run away, if he ever saw you playing this song.

  • i would to ask for a drum cover from you of the song the great escape by boys like girls

  • good, too bad u chose that gay song

  • You're really good...I wish I can play like that

  • Can you please make a tutorial? I am an aspiring drummer and I would love to learn this. You are very very talented.

    Thanks

    ~Skelly
