I always knew that the chemicals and drugs are just a easier way to get into the vortex, that's why I don't judge people who do them but it's necessary to know that an addiction occurs when people start to thnk that the only way to get into the vortex is thru this subtances without knowing that you can actually do it by yourself, with no help of nothing else, because we're powerful beings, we can do It All :)
I often hear people comment how nothing tastes as good as the first drink and I can see the reason is that there is great pleasure in decreasing resistance and at that point of entering back into the vortex, it's a very nice feeling. It's great to have a drink after the stresses of the day but if you can get your way into the vortex and have a drink then so much better, so there won't be any stresses to calm in the first place!
This is what is so ridiculous about this philosophy..just feeling happy is nothing. You have to find something worthwhile to do. There are people who NEVER sober up and their lives most certainly never get better.
@whoopsiedoop - And.... what you'd want to ask yourself is this: "why is that my concern?" Did you have a close relative who was a drunk? I had one and I too drank excessively and what I now know and what ALL ex-alcoholics and addicts know is that it is "self-medication" so what is being said here is "correct" but Abraham speaks in the larger sense so often folks can't hear the words until they're ready. Go and take care of YOU and eventually this will make sense. It does and it will.
@whoopsiedoop indeed but abrahams philosophy is amazing listen to more an more u will understand more an more then love less ya maan always in all ways
Drinking magnifies your mood, whether you're in our out of the vortex. Think about it ... there are happy drunks, depressed drunks and angry drunks alike.
@PITTSBURGHESE86 - Indeed, drinking DOES magnify one's moods but it is also used as an attempt to "escape" from one's "reality." Once the individual starts to feel like they want to move on, the "problem" of drinking somehow takes care of itself. 70-80% of "alcoholics" who have stopped abusing alcohol have done so on their own. Curiously, AA only has a 5% "success" rate. What Abraham is saying here is absolutely true but it only makes sense when the individual is ready to understand it.
She is such a master!!! Esther meets everyone at their level -people who are addicts will listen and think this endorses their using, so they will remain open to learning better ways of living. Telling people, what a limiting trap it is to use chemicals, would just make users rebel. But if I get in the Vortex BEFORE I use, I would never consume alcohol or anything else harmful -of course Source would not have me hurt my body in order to connect. Some truly brilliant spiritual teaching here.
This is all true. Look at Bashar! too- Loiuse Hay! Jim Channon !Deepak Chopra! Mike Myers! Meditation YOU!
All the same message . Its Love . Its all true. After learning from these messengers my life has changed to what I WANT IT TO BE! And it's really really great. No more asthma , I have money! I have love! This life on Earth is crazy great.LOVE YOU
The most creative people drink because it does release spacial concepts that are not generally available to the rigid, pre-symbolized conscious mind. Not defending heavy drinking, just making an observation from experience. ;]
@bthegood : I recommend drinking water while you're drinking--hangovers are caused by dehydration and combining sugar with alcohol, which causes a conflict. Sugar turns into alcohol inside the body, and alcohol turns into sugar. ;]
It has occurred to me (recently) that the feeling we get when we're drunk or high is the feeling of Source and not a chemical reaction in the brain or the body. The substances just distract us from the resistant thoughts that keep us from allowing in the energy of Source. I know I've felt this...even from a nicotine buzz.
@danscranton I don't think using illegal drugs or drinking hard liquor is best for your natural health. The body and mind may be temporary in ectascy mode, but what goes high must come down. What makes you feel good, feeling bad is the counter part.
I'm struggling with alcohol and drug use and I really want to be free from it, because it ruined my social life, my financial, and my physical appearance and health. I wouldn't want other people to be in this route.
I think you're absolutely right about that. I used to drink every day, just to relax untill I found that that happy feeling can be obtained by getting into the Vortex. Now when I want to relax, I go find an Abraham video :)
@danscranton Very interesting what you said. I think the good sensation has to do with the fact that you are aligned or not. Sometimes you drink and feel good, and sometimes you just take a dark way and feel awful. But basically, thats all about what Abraham says, if you are aligned nothing can defy you. And it's up to you the moment to stop, it's the same for everything, coffee, tv, you set up what feels good to you. Hugs!
@patyrc76 - I got rid of my TV because it "stopped feeling good" and funnily, there are a lot of folks out there who have a problem with others getting rid of their TVs. I don't miss it one bit. Nor, do I miss the booze either. I don't miss the cigarettes either. I am to the point of really getting to know myself without all the silly "things" I've used as a crutch in life. It feels great to get to know ME again!

I just love the idea of being in the vortex before drinking - to possibly enhance or extend the experience of being in the vortex.

Hi, there-
I wasn't actually advocating the use of these stimulants...just making an observation. I gave up drinking and doing drugs myself a long time ago...
