  • Well that is whats interesting about deontology, the end results mean nothing so long as the duties are fulfilled. Whether or not either person believes a war is justified, a soldiers duties are clear, i know because i am prior military. The conversation posted was based on consequences, the end result, not the means by which the results were reached. Great comment though, i encourage these types of comments. :)

    Person 2: What if it saves lives?

    Person 2: Was WWII justified?

  • @ estabreg - Thank you very much for your positive feedback.

    @tennsen - The example is regarding the duties of a fireman. A farmer is a good example too, but that would be on a much larger scope of the society as a whole and would take much longer to explain how it would effect that society vice a specific situation that i mentioned for the fireman.
