Awesome video. Speaking of sewing, has anyone tried the new sewing contest on the Fashion Fantasy Game? I heard that the winner gets a Singer sewing machine and $500. I'm definitely trying it.
Placing the pattern is easy, but I like this video anyway. Speaking of which (and this may be off-topic), but has anyone heard of the Fashion Fantasy Game? I heard it was great for people who like to sew.
cant any1 direct me to a video wich cn xactly show me on how to make a pattern for mens shirt, how to cut the fabric, sew it oll up ie the collar n oll...im so tired searching it on the net but dint get any usefull information.....i need help...people whu wud like to help can email me on good_bad52@hotmail.com
She is not irish she is quite clearly english if you think she is irish you must be american or something and northen ireland is part of britain anyways.
if you're trying to show someone how to place a pattern it would obviously be someone whose never used one before. and if that is the case, you have to explain things in more DETAIL so they can understand.
Ok, so for the pattern pieces that say, "cut on the fold" that means you actually have to fold the fabric in half and then lay the pattern on the fold line, THEN cut? so you end up with two piece that are the same size? I have never sewn before and just got a sewing machine so thats why my questions are so basic.
How can you logically say that your dislike for the way someone says something is in ANY way notable? Their is 0 logic behind your criticism, who benefits from your comments?
Very helpful. I am new to sewing with patterns and I liked the thought of laying out the entire pattern at once. I wish that someone would do a tutorial in which you don't actually cut the pattern. Everyone I know speaks of tracing but I am not sure how you do this.

I don't think that's a british accent. She sounds Irish

@DeistRequiem Irish? You're joking right? She's English, most likely from Liverpool.

Can you please talk about reading the sizing on the pattern, choosing the right sizing lines and seam allowance and how to do this, please?

You need to explain HOW to find the correct size on a pattern. Also, how to alter a pattern if needed!

Same here, everyone says "oh, chalk the pattern first" I have no idea how chalk it.
rippoh 4 years ago
I think you get tailor's chalk and you just trace the pattern out on to the fabric. It won't stain the fabric and will come off when washed.
