just finished reading the third book, and yes, the series is really good. Having said that, the second book kinda took me by surprise, because i really did not expect martians, especially because they were not mentioned at all in altered carbon... the whole thing did not really click with me. Woken furies is much better than Broken Angels, but it does kind of get in its own way near the end, the story is a little tangled. But anyway, really great books.

Once again, a year later...
Broken Angels had to have been my favorite of the three. Littered throughout my post-Morgan memories are scenes of Tak storming up that beach, Rifle filled with Delayed plasma core rounds, cleaving a bloody path, leaving the sands red with gore... Almost as good as the time he detonated a termite mine behind his back, destroying the window he was laying on, and therfore falling to (one of) his demise, and dragging that bitch with him... good times on paper
