  • do you play for oregon?

  • i slashed this kid in the face...lol

  • u can cross check in box though right?

  • @gakman41 yep

  • how do u serve a penalty like i was playing and i barley slashed somone and i had to stand at the midfield line until my team crossed it so it would be nice if somenoe could explain how to serve a penalty in lacrosse

  • @alienworkshop1231 Usually, if you slash someone, you go into the box on the sideline, and wait until your time is expired. Until then, you're team is a man down :(

  • @linkmager99 i know i cleared this up thanks anyway

  • Great explination ;D

  • This really helped me, and this is my first year, and I'm glad to be getting down the basics.

  • do you have to turn the stick when you have the ball when you run

  • you cradle.

  • lol this one defensive player on our team got called out for unnecessary roughness. He layed out the kid, but anyone could see the reff was in favor with the other team.

  • im going t o start plying and i have no fucking clue what he just said

  • @masterpaintball54 just let your coach teach you this stuff

  • how many games in a high school season

  • depends on the league and what team you make it on to

  • I play defense and I hardly commit penalty's I've only commited 2 in my last 13 games and one was a stupid slash call

  • lax rules

  • @ktbug5807 hi

  • my coach doesnt care wen we get penalties, he encourages it. lol

  • lmfao

  • What he is actually encouraging is aggressive play. Good, clean, play that is aggressive and does not quit or backdown will result in certain penalties occurring. This is especially true when official error is added in. Play hard - is his message. Take an intentional, stupid penalty that does not reflect good, aggressive, team oriented play, and your coach will care. And so will your teamates.

  • your coach must be a dumbass

  • i play box and and i think it is gay that in feild you have to have your hands together to hit

  • hey Delenahis, lacrosse is a mixture of hockey, soccer, basketball, and football.

all those sports you play are enough for lacrosse, endurance wise.

id practice for a season before actually playin so you no how to do everythin when you actually play

  • hmm i never played lacrosse before....my best friend does though, i played hockey, football, baseball, and soccer. Do you think thats a good fit for lacross, it looks pretty fun.

  • university of oregon!!!

  • can u check somebody without the ball?

  • thats pointless

  • ya but its fun :)

  • how it can create an opportunity for another teammate to get the ball

  • bully

  • yeah

  • u can body check anyone within 3 metres of the ball when in it is loose but u cant stick check them

  • i always slash when the ref isnt looking lol

  • u keep ur eyes on the ref and not the game? pathetic

  • is there offsides in house leugh cuz i'm just going to start so you no

  • when and who can u check during play?

  • when a girl/boy is runnin wit the ball then you chek there net to get the ball

  • yeah box lax rocks!

  • yo this kid is a duster,

and those rules only apply to field lacrosse, trying being a man and play box you plug

  • wat u afraid of a little sunshine

  • spot on

  • offsides one was wrong sorry - there must be 4 players on defensive half of field (3 + goalie) and 3 on offensive half...so basically you could have 3 middies and the goalie on the defensive half and the rest on the offensive half...reply if you need to know any more about the offsides rule or have any questions

  • ok can u tell me the substition rules

  • you can sub in at any thime

  • if the lacroose ball is deeper then the head of the lacrosse stick is that illage

  • Level your stick and look at the top of your lax ball, if you can see light, its ilegal

  • It's offside, not offsides. And it's a bit more complicated than his explanation.

Warding is using your free hand or arm to direct the opponent or his stick in any direction.

A slash is 1-3 minutes, not always one. And it is a personal foul, not a technical foul. Technical fouls are always 30 seconds if they are time-serving.

Still, these types of instructional videos are good and important for people new to the sport.

  • Ward: you can move your elbow, you just an not use your free HAND to push off.

Slash: he has this one pretty much right. exept for one more thing, if you take your stick above your head or wind up to hit someone, than it does not matter where you hit them, it would be a slash.

Cross-Check: This is right exept he said "practicly" together, but some refs call a cross-check if they see even the slightest bit of stick.

Theese were just a few more tips to follow you up on this video.

  • Thanks I never knew that your hands had to be together to cross check.

  • thank you this helped me alot

    Lax for life!

  • thnx u helped alot
