A key part of Falun Dafa is the concept of karma, which causes bad things to happen to people when they build up karma by doing bad things. Falan Dafa teaches people to look past this maze of consciousness that we've been subjected to and which controls us. Chinese people have basically no access to actual non-biased information. I marched in 2002 in Los Angeles with practitioners for the release of Dr. Lee who was imprisoned in China. I have read Li Hongzhi's book, given to me by a practitioner. I went to a protest today in Washington DC, and i must say this. It does not matter if they are seen as a cult. The perception of right and wrong is different. 1:Almost all spiritual beliefs say that there are divine beings that humans can't see, and of course there are both male and female. If you're atheist and do not believe in what you can't see, then that's perfectly OK to me :p
2:Nowhere in any real Falun Gong-text does it say anything about taking medication being a sin. Like I said, read Zhuan Falun for yourself, instead of believing blindly in what the CCP has said since 1999 :)

But I can see for myself Falun Gong is just another religion. I had family members who practised Falun Gong in China, I was there. And it is because of Falun Gong's prohibition on taking medicine did my grandmother, then a Falun Gong practitioner die of disaeses which she was brainwashed into thinking faith in Li HongZhi will cure for her.

@BlloodRayyven I was not trying to offend you. There simply is no prohibition against taking medicine. Basically there are no rules in Dafa cultivation, and eroddy84 is right about what Mr Li has stated both in the lectures and in the books: if you are feeling unwell and are concerned, go to the hospital without delay! A few people go to extremes, and that is definitely not good - Mr Li has also stated this many times.
Since practicing FG i have become a much better person. I can see the beauty in everything and have learnt how to put others ahead of myself and how to look at situations differently. I know how good a practice FG really is and i know it can change a selfish person into a kind one. It's also improved my health. How could i blindly believe these lies? This is a truly amazing practice and it's an honor to practice it. I only hope others can learn the truth and find out just how amazing it is.Peace

@eroddy84 In that case, what you are practising is not FLG, but real qigong and real spiritual exercise and meditation. Don't let FLG infringe on other exercises. Typical Li Hongzhi copies other exercise and claims he created them. Shameful!

Within 120 km of where I live there are only about 12 Falun Gong practitioners that I know much about
1. 4 of those 12 people have recovered from disabilities through doing Falun Gong, including me.
2. One person had sore teeth and his teeth are OK now.
3. One Falun Gong woman I know who is about 40 looks much younger than her age, because she is a very diligent practitioner and started in 1994.
.
For me that's the proof of how good Falun Gong is.

A key part of Falun Dafa is the concept of karma, which causes bad things to happen to people when they build up karma by doing bad things. Also, I am a Falun Dafa practitioner, but I don't necessarily agree with everything he or any other practitioner says or does. Honestly, I'm grateful for his founding of Falun Dafa, but I think Master Li is on a looooot of drugs. Or he's crazy, or constantly speaking in metaphors.

Falun Gong is a very good practice with ancient ties to Buddhist concepts and Daoist concepts. I have benefited greatly from this spiritual practice over the years i have practiced. Unfortunately there is always propaganda that slanders and spews lies about innocent people who only want to practice their spiritual beliefs. I wish the author of this video would come to his senses and rightful discern what is true, as this video is Certainly Not. Falun Gong is good.

Falun Gong is a cult because it promotes a political agenda. True spiritual organizations refrain from pushing a political agenda. And I am not ignorant, I have friends who are "practitioners" and I myself have taken part in some events. I marched in 2002 in Los Angeles with practitioners for the release of Dr. Lee who was imprisoned in China. I have read Li Hongzhi's book, given to me by a practitioner. I feel the followers of Falun Gong are being deceived and used politically.

cults have membership roosters, practice rituals of initiations, force you take an oath to join, even charge their members for money, and once joined they are forbidden from leaving and if done consequences of some sort follow,
people are free to enter and leave the practice as they wish without harassment, and many people have healed their illnesses through the practice without being charged a single penny
so how is that a cult?

I went to a protest today in Washington DC, and i must say this. It does not matter if they are seen as a cult. The perception of right and wrong is different. I will not and nor should anyone judge off of here say.. with that, i ask, what other religions were seen as cult or still seen as cult, that are not and are simply miss understood out of fear or brain washing. I ask. Try to think of it this way, Tibet, has had similar issue. Think of the lack of Sanctuary for North Korean refugees too.

This video makes no sense. Falun Gong teaches people to become better by raising one's morality and nature - and the exercises are ridiculously good for health! There's not even a membership register or any fees. Everything is free, and everyone can learn what it's all about from the website :)

1:Almost all spiritual beliefs say that there are divine beings that humans can't see, and of course there are both male and female. If you're atheist and do not believe in what you can't see, then that's perfectly OK to me :p
2:Nowhere in any real Falun Gong-text does it say anything about taking medication being a sin. Like I said, read Zhuan Falun for yourself, instead of believing blindly in what the CCP has said since 1999 :)

But I can see for myself Falun Gong is just another religion. I had family members who practised Falun Gong in China, I was there. And it is because of Falun Gong's prohibition on taking medicine did my grandmother, then a Falun Gong practitioner die of disaeses which she was brainwashed into thinking faith in Li HongZhi will cure for her.

He has never forbidden anyone.Falun Gong is definately not a religion it is an ancient cultivation practice for cultivating the ody and the mind. I have gained many benefits from practicing. Increased morals and I am very healthy. Falun Gong is very good.

@BlloodRayyven I was not trying to offend you. There simply is no prohibition against taking medicine. Basically there are no rules in Dafa cultivation, and eroddy84 is right about what Mr Li has stated both in the lectures and in the books: if you are feeling unwell and are concerned, go to the hospital without delay! A few people go to extremes, and that is definitely not good - Mr Li has also stated this many times.

Since practicing FG i have become a much better person. I can see the beauty in everything and have learnt how to put others ahead of myself and how to look at situations differently. I know how good a practice FG really is and i know it can change a selfish person into a kind one. It's also improved my health. How could i blindly believe these lies? This is a truly amazing practice and it's an honor to practice it. I only hope others can learn the truth and find out just how amazing it is.Peace

@theboyuan0jcfan What I am practicing is high level quigong cultivation. It comprimises of spiriitual/ moral teachings with a emphasis Truthfulness Compassion Tolerance. There are 4 standing exercises and 1 sitting meditation. It is deeply rooted in ancient China and is Buddhist in thought. It was passed down from a master to a disciple until 1992 when Mr Li made it Public. Thats what Falun Gong is. Mr Li has helped many people improve themselves and become healthy.

He said he received teachings from high monks and priests yet the time he said he received the teachings were whenhe was with us." According to Li, he would use nonsense like his spiritual form was receiving teaching while his physical form was just there.
