  • lol i wonder how much theyer paid

  • THIS IS BRITAIN!!!!!

  • I am deffinetly doing this at the start of my shift tomorow. Royal guard of the BK lounge.

  • lol dumb kids at 0:43

  • Their so cute with their little hats :)))

  • @ICoLdCs Never, never call an armed professional of a military "cute" ever again.

  • ima tae one these nikkas and clean my fireplace

  • @d34df37u5 I'm going to take you to school and teach you proper grammar.

  • FUCKEN NINJA'S!!!!

  • 5 units made up royal guards (foot guards)

The Grenadier Guards, The Coldstream Guards, The Scots Guards, The Irish Guards and The Welsh Guards. and they dont just stand there looking pretty, they are real infantry men. and have served in war zones. they are loaded and will fire if any cause. they have to stand there and be quiet, but they dont have to take the shit that some tourists give them, they can respond and warn you off. its their duty.

and they are hard as fook!

  • Canadians are damn proud of their heritage, and rightfully so! Go Canada! Cheers!

  • everyday the same shit..... the royal guard are so useless!

  • @OSETINKAVKAZ12INCHES excuse me the royal guard ar not just there to protect the royal family's house they are one of the most prestigious units in the world and they fight alongside other units in the army so hush it yeah !

  • @skylineXtitchX they fight? all i've seen them do is stand and change guard :D

  • @OSETINKAVKAZ12INCHES yeah they are the grenadier guards that is their actual unit name and they fight alongside other units in war

  • @OSETINKAVKAZ12INCHES Nope.

    Dumbfuck ;)

  • @NBarker1993 fuck up cunt.

  • a bunch on farmers and kids can kick their ass anytime ;D

  • @PepeFabos if you really think that then your one big idiot.

  • @PepeFabos You do realise that the Royal Guard is an actual Military division, their rifles are always loaded and that the majority of them have spend a considerable amount of time on active duty in war zones.

  • @DrMonkeyForAFoot i am referring back to the revolutionary war

  • they can't move but they have the toilet behind...just in case...

  • All that hard work just to change swifts?!?!

  • These men are members of the Canadian Forces. Not some kind of fanfare group emulating the British Grenadiers for the sake of tourism. These are trained soldiers (some from the Regular Forces, but mostly from the Reserves), and they do this as part of a summer contract.

Many of them have done tours in Afghanistan and other theatres of war. Traditionally, soldiers of the Ceremonial Guard are pulled from two Guard regiments, the Governor General's Foot Guards, and the Canadian Grenadier Guards.

  • its amazing how after all these years canadian troops still drill like thier british cousins , good for you too!! although a\little different, still more or less the same... and i must say , its nice to see the old slr style weapons drill, with the canadian rifle, far better than the sa80

  • lol broom hats

  • no offense but you can tell there from Canada, with that poor display of drill.

  • y in canada were are they in canada

  • awww they look like little nut crackers in those cute hats!

  • I don't know about the Canadian guards, but the British guard regiments are combat soldiers. They fight regular tours in Afghanistan and over their 400 years of service have found themselves engaged in almost every conflict the UK has engaged in.

  • I have like 2 basic questions about the Royals...1: What would the royal guard do if some one pointed a weapon at them? 2: Does the Royal Guard go under intense training?

  • Obviously there has been some confusion: These are Canadian guards from Canadian regiments 'affiliated' with the British guards, hence they wear the same red tunics and bear skin hats but stag with their own military weapon the C7 rifle.

  • ahahaha look at these fucking idiots, the only reason they are there is to be made fun of and pointed at by toursists. they are basically performing monkeys. they are too pussy to fight for the country in the war so they stand outside the palace like a bunch of clowns with nothing better to do LOL what fucking lowlifes.

  • @PipweedTheGreat It's not about that, it's them carrying on the history.. and like a tradition, they've been doing it for years and years and years.

Who would you rather have? Them? Or some fat rent-a-cop?

  • @PipweedTheGreat says one on the internet.

  • Love it how Canada have still preserved there history, great stuff

  • JEBUS FUCK YOU WILL GUARD THIS FUCKING GUARD POST IN THE FUCKIN SPOT UNTIL I FUUCKCKING SAY TO STOP

  • Don't people know when to "Get out the WAY"

  • fajna czapka :D

  • they look a bit slack.when i first saw this i thought they look a bit slow to be british guards.

  • i was like wtf why is he screaming!!!

  • no need to shout there only near

  • Looks easier, when I did it that foot high platform was in front sentry box.

  • This seems slightly inefficient from a managerial standpoint.

  • It's easy to forget they are not doing this for entertainment and that this is real serious stuff in England and Canada.

  • God bless the UK,!!!

  • I'd love to see a hip-hop gangsta version of the guard changing.. gold teef and all the white hoes goin' DL with the brutha in the shack.

  • i thought this was only done in England :/ i knew canada had grenadier guards but didnt know they did ceramonial dutys. fair play to them

  • oh,really I thought them british ,anyway both of them are good people brother..

  • I love British people they are more than kind..

  • these are canadians

  • u the biggest retard in the world

  • cool they get to carry flame thrower

  • wronnnng

  • brilent to see such a great country still respecting there history and being proud of it good on you canada

im from england by the way (london)

  • respect to canadian troops. British and Proud

  • i like their hats

  • That is in canada? I never knew that had them there? I thought only England had them? I was confused that the gaurd was talking with Canadian accent.

  • Well because Canada was part of the British Empire for so long (and is still part of the Commonwealth, and with the Queen as Monarch), it was inevitable the Canadians would retain some good stuff..

    ;-)

  • yeh but so was australia and new zealond, but they dont have guards..they have highland regiments as do canada, but no foot guards in buzzbys,so why did the cannucks get to have foot guards??the red tunics yes but bear skins,,they took them from the russian troops at the crimea or was it the french, either way they are wearing part of the household uniform that was earned in battle,,i think thats wrong..no disrespect. can u educate me?

  • Some British traditions former Empire countries retained, some they didn't, and some they never used at all. In 1768 an order decreed that grenadier caps throughout the Army were to have hat fronts covered with bearskin, so the origin of the bearskin (not Busby, that's different headgear) is older than usually thought. Certainly the Grenadier Guards gained the right to wear bearskins after Waterloo, and the other Guards regiments followed. Redcoats go back to the mid-17th century.

  • Nice to see our canadian Brothers doing public duties just like us!!! though its alot diffrent at the front of buckingham palace. what rifles are you using there im not quite familiar with them. we use the SA80 which is shorter.

  • L-95 is better

  • l-95 is a sniper why would they carry that

  • You never know when the enemy is longer range.

  • Think they're Diemaco C7/8s

  • wolfe yeah right!

  • Well that's why I said believe it or not. I really don't care if you believe me or not.

  • Haha, nice. Believe it or not I'm the guard on the left side of the screen that is being posted to replace the guy who's been on shift for an hour. I'm the one who yells "No Corporal"

  • I thought they held their guns in the left hand

  • When standing still we hold the weapon in the right hand only. However, when we are marching we can alternate upon the command "change arms". We do this for very long marching trips such as the march to the main gate at Rideau Hall. i.e. what you're watching here.

  • I don't know what's worse....anglos or quebecois? My familyemigrated the the US from Quebec a century ago, and I'll take the folly in the whitehouse any day.

  • I'm a fan =D

  • Thanks

  • Great to see our canadian cousins upholding the finest traditions.

  • one of britains succesful colonys

  • they dont sound british... do the canadans wear the same uniform??

  • We Canadian troops wear traditional red uniforms as we are decended mainly from Britain. My regiment, the Governor General's Foot Guards wears the same guard uniform you see those units in the Household Division of the British Army.

  • do you mean the red uniform? or the household calvary uniforms? being more kinght in armour looking with a sward, and come in two differnt colours red and blue...

  • Well we only have three guards regiments here. And the only two that do public duties in Ottawa are infantry regiments. The horse guards in Toronto are a household cavalry unit but I've never seen them doing anything like the blues and royals or life guards. But I'm not sure what they do.

  • wrong....royal regiment of canada is a grenadier guard regiment....thats why our private are called guards.

    we also wear scarlets

  • Lol, AHAHAHAHAHA! Not quite as good as across the pond.

  • are you serious.....there drill is spot on...better than some of the brit videos i ever seen

  • Putaquepariu, que babaquice!

  • These guys are from the Govenor General's Foot Guard, a Canadian infantry reserve regiment. Here they are doing sentry sifts outside the Governor General's residence in Ottawa, as part of the duties of Ceremonial Guard. BTW, the piper does play but only on the march and those are C7A1 Canadian assault rifles.

  • lol he sounds like hes really holding in a laugh when he read that thing, to me which sounded like "to date there are two pantries, the dirty pantry on the right, and the dirtiest pantry on the left

  • where was this taken? London?

  • video was taken in Ottawa, Canada (on July 20, 2006)

  • The Grenadier Guards are teh funnay.

That guard with the clipboard sounds American.

  • Canadian.

  • Well I never. I learned something new today! :D

  • Lol that would explain the lack of an accent and Mandarin being spoken.

  • Comment removed

  • I thought that the royal guards uses the SA80mk2, why are still they using the enfals? when was this shot?

  • it was taking on July 20, 2006, at 3:00pm

  • These are guys Canadian. 2 year late reply. :O

  • @marlonlagahit The British Army uses the L85A2, the Canadians use the Diemco C6 (I think)

    As these are Canadian guards...

  • @Someloke8895 Canadians uesed the The Colt Canada C7 rifle.

  • piper leading but not play?
