  • hey man im in the jazz band at my school and play a lot of swing... do you have any tips as in tone and playing style for me? my tone is horrendous.. i use a Gibson Les Paul and think the amp is peavey but the one i use at my house is a line 6 spider... any suggestions

  • @TheNightmaresEnd hey, lets see, ok, with your Les Paul flip it on to the neck pick up. turn the tone all the way off on the neck pick up, on your amp on the clean channel, crank the bass and mid all the way up, treble on 5 or 6 1/2, just a hint of reverb, if you like, just add a slight touch of over drive, but only a slight touch...that is a killer jazz setting... also try that exact setting with lots of over drive, it is buttery tone all the way...think old school Eric Clapton...
