  • i'm gonna have a LOT of fun fighting them Gekkos lol can't wait

  • who knows maybe Hideo will try to create a metal gear solid game where u play as the boss. i think rising will become another spinoff series of metal gear like metal gear acid, only it will be metal gear rising lol, either way metal gear, i'm gettin it lol

  • The game is in good hands.

  • Fuck you.Metal Gear Rising was supposed to come out on PC as well, and now this fucking platinum games are incapable of porting the game to the PC, since they never made a single PC game.

  • @SolidSnake256 All this PC gaming is ridiculous. The industry was born on consoles and will always be on consoles. How can someone call him/herself a gamer if they only game on a PC?

  • @SolidSnake256 Its gonna be on PC

  • I could see "stealth" working in this game but it would be quick like the LIGHTNING BOLT tagline implied. Like in the PS2 Shinobi and the Tate move. It would basically involve killing enemies as fast as you can. Throw in a "Stalking" element like those Rocksteady Batman games and it would work. Though the whole cutting anything would have to be limited especially if it's console only.

  • @pastelshrimp I am a big fan of PGames but I don't see how they how they would incorporate stealth in this game since Raiden fights like a God. Why would he sneak?

  • don't worry about this game guys that is changed i think it's not gonna fail but gona be exciting

  • This video feels like an apology.

  • ....Kinda disappointed that he didn't go with The Boss's missions. I was actually thinking that he should do something involving the Boss in WWII.........but Raiden? Wtf.

  • Do people comment on this video without watching it? Like holy shit, these comments are so misinformed it's hilarious.

  • mgs5 with the boss and her cobra unit!!!!!!!! that wouldve been awesome!!!!!!

  • I agree with some of the other comments, this doesnt give me the feel that I had for the other MGS titles, it seems like its more to please Japanese gamers that want fast paced sword action then the original stealth, but then again it is meant for that.

  • People need to chill about Rising. Kojima is still in control. If he and his crew see something they don't like, they'll have it changed. Kojima & Co. have final say.

And I'm sure 95% of all you haters are still gonna get the game regardless. lol

Hideo loves us, and we love Hideo.

Have some faith people, have a little faith.

  • @BlueFox284 I think people just hate raiden. I agree with you. People do need to chill about this game. They have MGS5 to stay true to, not this. This is Raidens game. Raiden is supposed to be superior in strength due to well being a 'cyborg ninja' to put it roughly. Sure they should definately add stealth. Though they should try the route of letting Old time fans [like myself] stealth it up, and or... if we feel like breaking loose we should be free to just wreck things too.

  • @BlueFox284 And some open-mindedness. I mean they hated the fact that Raiden threw a Metal Gear, yet didn't cry when he saved Snake from Outer Haven. A little open-mindedness for a new style of gameplay and tolerance of changes is what is needed in this fanbase and in the gaming community as a whole. Games will change and evolve, and it'll always be this way. Let it happen, accept it and try to enjoy people. It'll do us all good in the end.

  • is there going to be an online mode ?

  • What was the that noise!!! it was the sound of a sick joke for a game you might as well have let the people who made mw3 make it..

  • @kylrnta Have you even played anything from PGames? If not then you don't have a valid opinion.

  • how dare they use the ORIGINAL Rising song for this game.

  • People, the reason its called SOLID was because it went from pixels to polygons! not cause of Solid Snake. Ya'll need to research. The previous version had SOLID in it b/c every MG would logically have it and b/c it was Canon. they obviously took it out now b/c its non canon spinoff. there isnt another reason to take out SOLID is there? no. The old one was much better. the plot wouldve been superb. this is just ugh. a contadicting plot with a character not willing to go back to this state.

  • Disappointed, the FOX engine made the game beautiful. I'm going to hate playing this knowing what it had the potential to be something far greater and amazing.

  • Kojima always looked to me like a japanese Keanu Reeves

  • @BiGdaddyM100 look at the trailers. Look at the enviroment and the cutting in the solid version. Copmared to this crap and i did judge that because if anyone would make a clip of thier unreleased game that clip would have some of the best things in the game. And look at the cutting its like im playing a ps1 game..

  • @SFbadr So you played the game? Because those are big words for a person who judges a game from a trailer with loose footage. Pathetic dude i tought you would give me sources and info yet you keep repeating the same thing : the trailer told me everything. Nice try but i only judge a game when there is more info, demo footage leaked gameplay and when it finally comes out. That's the difference between a rational person and a fanboy.

ps: have you ever seen PS1 graphics and gameplay?

  • @BiGdaddyM100 Someone give this guy a medal

  • @SFbadr You're so goddamn stupid. Can your meek little mind not conceive the thought of a spin-off? Do you actually think the Metal Gear Solid series is realistic? Can you not grasp the fact that this is not a Metal Gear SOLID game?

  • @SFbadr You have never played a ps1 game have you...?

  • The main director has been revealed to be Bayonetta's main programmer - makes sense considering that game-design was the primary issue; it figures that the programmer of such a popular game would be the guy in charge.

  • This video is so perfect in it's own. The emotions, body language and what they say fits perfect together! Like, as if I had known all this is what's going to happen!

    2010 I was like "Woh.. they are making a game like this, ALREADY?!" and then the action/stealth balance. A few weeks ago I read, that there will be no stealth, now we know why. I also had the idea with the Boss, why was there resistance? ;_;

I really hope there will be a Metal Gear SOLID again...

  • This game is a farce now to make money. The original idea and engine was much better. They gave up and can't admit they failed. They are saving face and saying this is a great idea.

  • @Aseapia

can't agree with you. As you can see in the video, their faces and stuff, it's like they're feeling guilty for all this. Believe me, if you were a game designer and would have such major problems (and you really wouldn't like to throw away all your work!) then you would be happy it turned out like this!! - turned out like SOMETHING!

  • Kojima seems really disappointed that they couldn't do this without him.

I'm just glad that the game is no longer cancelled and is actually coming out. If you don't like the action oriented gameplay, don't play it. They made exactly what people have been wanting and now they aren't happy with it.

  • Comment removed

  • Can you still cut anything?

  • No, and the reasons are logical - how do you get the player to go where you want them to if they could just cut anything?

So their is plenty of cutting action, just not too much - the previous version had the developers litterally trying to make EVERYTHING cut-able, and that was one of the major reasons why the game never worked as Kojima explains.

  • Not made by kojima, not made by his production team, no solid snake, not even the right title....... not a metal gear game as far as I'm concerned.

  • @charmander4533 This is what it says, Kojima revealed that he had always been against stealth in the game as neither he, nor his staff, felt that stealth and high speed action would work together.

  • Um, what part of "collaboration" do you not understand? It's a team-effort - of course Kojima and crew are involved.

  • @Shiek927 No, they outsourced it.

  • .....No; Kojima and crew are working on the story, characters etc with ideas from Platinum Games, while PG is working on the game design, coding etc which was the main problem - if you think about it like this: KojimaPro is making the ingredients and PG is putting them all together.

Plus, Kojima himself is still the producer and has the final say, so the game won't go in any direction he doesn't like.

  • @Shiek927 ......No; Kojima worked on the project, gave up, and gave what was made to another studio. It doesn't matter if he has the final say if he's not actually making it.

  • Are you sure we're watching the same video?

Kojima said that he didn't really want to be part of the project; hence, he was only the producer and left Rising to his younger staff while he went to work on Peace Walker -- when he came back afterwards, he noticed what a mess the project had become and canceled it, but wanted the ideas to live on; hence, bringing in Platinum Games.

  • I can't believe I have to spell it out - it's a team-effort; we can see plainly here that many people from Kojima and co are still working on the game, and Kojima himself is still the producer though the new director still hasn't been revealed....and yes, his final say actually was and is very important because, if he didn't have his way, the 2010 Rising that people love and was actually quite shitty would have been released.

  • Felicidades Atomix :)

  • I want that game with the Boss landing on Normandy! That sounds way cooler. I'll buy Rising like every other person here will though, strictly for the fact its got Metal Gear in the title.

  • i want that kojima's glasses *o*

  • FUCK HIDEO MAKES EVERYTHING SO INTENSE....I LOVE HIM...

  • Which one will be better: this or ng3?? They both look badass and are both one of the best Japanese sword gaming studios. Can someone please advise...?

  • @genjutsugaara you mean Capcom is working with Ninja theory from UK not Team ninja, Team ninja is from JP who made Ninja gaiden. If Kojima wanted to work with somebody from JP who knew hack n slash, should be Team ninja, they would of did a hell of a lot better in graphics than Platinum games. And dude, Square Enix Europe is not working with western type gaming, they'er working with JP. Western type games comes from the US or UK not JP.

  • @jairrett1 Huh??..When did I said Square Enix Europe working with western? I said SE.Europe working with JP,totally fail there..and yeah sorry its Ninja Theory lol,Kojima knows what he doing so Plantinum would be the best choice he has beside who cares about graphic, its gameplay is the important, that explains why PacMan still popular today.

  • man i loved the solid version it was more realistic and the cutting was so great but now it doesnt have the metal gear soul in it anymore.. i dont care if kojima takes another year for this game but at least make it look like a metal gear not like this..

  • @SFbadr totally agree :\

  • @SFbadr OH CMON!!! i agree that the solid version was amazing but this one is better cuz the solid version had issues

  • @SFbadr You must be right i mean you played it and all. That's what you did right , Because no fool would judge an UNFINISHED game right? Tell me what's the main objective in this game? I haven't got the change to play it yet so know what the game will look like but you clearly did reading that bold statement of yours.

  • @SFbadr Well... Basically because this isn't Solid.

  • @SFbadr

Did u even watch the vid??? The project was going nowhere... The project team had years to iron out the gameplay concepts but they failed, a project that leads nowhere is a project that's costing the company valuable resources !!! Kojima had 2 choices, either can the project (b4 it wastes more of the company resources) or outsource it. He chose to save the project by outsourcing it; He did no wrong. Better to see the project come to fruition than to see it in a disposal bin.

  • Nano breaker

  • NOW ALL OF YOU MGS FANBOYS CAN SHUT UP!! PLANTINUMGAMES IS AWESOME..why am i capslocking

  • Yo Kojima,we have the same hairstyle!!

  • Kojimas glasses are sooooo boss! Where can I get those!!!

  • I think this is going to be the first time im going to buy a Metal Gear game with very low expectations... Im not judging the game until i have playedbut it looks like Devil May Cry waay more then Metal Gear..

  • i feel as if it'd be a lot better if it was set between mgs 2 and mgs4... regardless of whether it's canon or not it's drifting too far from the classic mgs formula, i mean i've grown up with metal gear games and this is so different. i also don't know why raiden is a cyborg again, seeing as he was human at the end of mgs4... maybe i'm just stupid

  • IDK why Japanese producers, directors, and studios don't want to work with western games, Japanese game creators had already admit'ed the're behind from western games, and I see why,its the're pride. If Kojima would of got help from western games like Ubisoft Assassins creed they could help on how to use stealth/action together with the Fox engine and it did make sense to put it after MGS4 cause Raiden's suit didn't match. They could of got help from westerns if not team ninja instead of Platinum

  • @jairrett1 Dude, capcom from JP woking with team ninja from UK and Square Enix from europe working with JP

  • I liked this game better the first time...when it was called NANOBREAKER...

  • It's too much MANGA for me,i can't stand it.

And a new story set ? Even tho it's non canon (i guess) it's pretty much retarded because after the events of MGS4 raiden is living in peace with his wife and kid.If it had a bit less of "bayonetta" feeling and more like MGS4 it would be amazing. Also, another point i want to share is,this is not canon,as we are expecting, and kojima said it isn't a true MGS but i think this game is surely going to ruin the MGS history of great games and unique style.

  • @eskematizado Actually, MGR is going to be considered canon, and I too find it odd that Raiden, after discovering he is father, would just go out and about slicing people into bits, and I have to disagree with you on the "I think this game is surely going to ruin the MGS history of great games and unique style" because it's obvious the game is a spinoff and shouldn't be considered a main game, and for all we know, it could be an excellent game.

  • @AlekTheNerd I understand, this is a spinoff. But,it's canon and pretty much ruins the plot of MGS2 and MGS4 related to raiden.MGS is known because of it's complex story and philophical themes, and also because you must strategize before going to do something. This game seems to be all about button mashing, and the elements of it's plot are very childish.Typical character quotes, typical action scenes, cartoonish visuals,it shouldn't carry the METAL GEAR name.

  • @eskematizado I agree with your points, but the way you mentioned story in there... I find it kind of weird, because I don't think the creators have actually created the whole thing, and I don't think any has been released to the general public, but the rest I must agree with you on.

  • Not really -- Drebin said in the end of MGS4 that "it wasn't going to be all sunshine and rainbows" - the world became so hooked up to SOP that, now without it, everything was laid bare; the world is better without the Patriot's control, but they now had to put themselves back together.

It's sort of like a country toppling a dictator...now comes the hard part of remaking the country: it's not surprising at all that their are new conflicts which Raidan takes part in.

  • @Unholyjudgement89 the final months of solid snakes life????? U do know solid snake is still alive.

  • i really hate that they have made to mutch "manga" in to the game. i mean those blade effects and crap, its like mortal combat or something,, and i hate that when even Raiden hits someone with the blade its that little miliseconds freeze effect, just like a manga cartoon :(:(:(:(

  • I see MGR as a new chapter in the Metal Gear series and its not ruining the series at all ive played all of MGS and Read up on all the events from Operation Snake eater to the final months of Solid Snake's life and as a fan am looking forward to new direction in the story

  • @UnholyJudgement89 I see this video as an excuse for kojima to Wash his hands of this mess. It disappoints me that the Kojima team couldnt see this through the original version was much more to MGS "roots" as per Kojimas words. MGR:R doesnt use fox engine, trashed the original story, canned the original style, only features one MG character, uses extremely poor taste in slash particles and textures, no balance of stealth and action.

  • The original premise of the game looked good and it was still MGR not MGS. This game does not appeal to MGS fans like the first trailors did it looks like a cheap actiony cop out that will have a weak story and button bashing gameplay to boot. Put it this way no game company has every released an explination video of why they made a game why they did, thus proving even Konami think the idea premise and execution of this new game is lacking!!!

  • This is why the boss is the boss and the workers must always listen to him.... If the workers start telling the bosses what to do then you end up with this . I mean WHAT THE FUCK Kojima you fucking run that place you should've said " i don't give a fuck if you don't wanna make metal gear solid 5 , you are making mgs5 or you can quit" then shit would've gotten done ... I fear that this game will be set like 5 years or so after the end of mgs4 and this (if its canon) will ruin any plot-lines koj

  • @Rockytumblers

you dont make a great game by forcing people to work.

  • and wich is going to be the challenge of the game since you will be able to cut EVERYTHING lol i dont understand, i think its going to be a deception to real metal gear fans and an excellent game to easy to beat and non challenging videogame fans, kind of God of War and that kind of shit.

  • As long as there's ninja stealth action, I'm all for the hack 'n' slash.

  • I also can't get over how awesome the game looks like without that silly rock music playing

  • @Shiek927 That music practically killed the trailer, along with the cheesy lines super-imposed onto the gameplay. "Too Easy!" "The urge to BATHE in the BLOOD of the ENEMIES!!! But you hold it BACK" "My sword is a tool of justice". Oh, my bloody God. Give it a rest! The gameplay can speak for itself. At least quiter music and less cheesy lines would've been more conducive to hyping it up.

  • Roflmao, honestly, I'm starting to love it all more and more; again, MGS has always been very hollywood-like, and the music pumps me up everytime I hear it. Personally, for someone who disliked it at first, I'm amazing myself how much I'm liking forward to this game now :D

  • @Shiek927 Has there been any news released since the VGA? I really want to see more gameplay.

  • I've been checking on a daily basis and so far,I haven't seen anything -- what I want to know most of all, is a release date; with all the information we're getting, it feels weird that's the one thing we haven't learned yet. Considering though how much of Rising was already completed (story and characters, etc), and the only thing missing was the core game design that Platinum is now working on (very quickly as they say here), It's still possible we'll get the game this year :).

  • @Shiek927 *facepalm* than what kind of music do you listen to?Probably shitty pop.

  • I'm a bit confused about which post you are replying too, but if you are saying you LIKE the music.....good for you! It's grown on me too, as has this game.

  • @Shiek927 You said silly rock.I take that as offense (implying you think rock is stupid/silly/whatever).Thats why i replied.

  • Ahh, that one....well, it was true, at least for me -- the trailer blew me away in how different it usually is for MGS, not even so much for the gameplay, but for the music; even now, to some degree, I think the gameplay looks better without it.

Regardless though, both the game and music have grown on me.

  • @Shiek927 I agree that its better without the music, but you said it like Rock is the worst music ever.I mean some games are great with Rock music (Devil May Cry 3 for example).

  • Ninja Raiden

    Metal Gear May Cry

I may still play it. I may just get Ninja Gaiden. Starting to seem like a toss up between DMC, Ninja Gaiden, and Ninja Raiden

  • If only every whiny bitch complaining about this game were to watch this video *sigh*. TBH, the only stupid/shit looking thing about this game, is the title... Revengeance? "Revenge, with a vengeance"... Revenge and vengeance are the SAME THING!? other than that though, game looks BEAST!!!

  • I was sold as soon as saw the PMC crawl and run for his life :D PG thinks big, I hope Kojima productions know that they're making the best choice.

  • @rohatkickboxer Thank for your comment but what I say is simply a reflection of my thoughts.. I hate nothing or no one.

  • Why in the blue blazing FUCK do people commenting about this game keep referring to MGS? When it clearly states "MGR?" Don't think of snake when you talk about this game. It's not, and I repeat "NOT" MGS5 Kojima already said he's working on 5, so he's not ruining MGS! He's creating MGR! Fucking Retards!

  • @Levord1980 i would have liked your comment, if you hadnt used so much the f word :)

    spread love bro, no hate

  • @Levord1980 If I could like this comment a million times, i would

  • @Levord1980 what u dont remember the first trailers then? metal gear solid rising... that was the name, and expectation was created... and eventually destroyed by a cliche hack & slash game, thats more or less the situation here.

  • @Levord1980

MGR is set in the same universe and therefore it makes perfect sense that people are referring to MGS. Yes it is a different game but I think MGR is too much platinum games and too little kojima productions if you look at it's presentation and gameplay. As a fan of the Metal Gear (Solid) series I don't care that much for this game.

  • @kledder2 agreed why bother calling it "Metal Gear" Its a hack n slash that has raiden basically. Looks like a Bad episode of beetleborgs or power ranges. No fox engine, 1 character from metal gear, ray looks like a joke, MGS4 prequel story was sacrificed to appease Japan's Computer Entertainment Rating Organization, overall tone and colors don't fit the MG series hell PG basically spat on the original deign and made their own game featuring raiden and has the words "Metal Gear" on it

  • 13:20 Italia <3

  • konami....

  • mgs 1 2 3 4 was Awesome mgs2 wasnt the best i didnt like raiden so much but snake was in it and the story was great.

however hers the problem your now making a game 100% raiden and a crap story not even metal gear solid because if it was it would be beetween 2-4 because after mgs4 hes human this is just stupid kojima dont RUIN metal gear solid!!!!

  • Ou seja, eles apenas estão atendendo um pedido que os fãs fizeram e ainda fazem desde a época do Metal Gear Solid do PSOne. Resumindo tudo isso: Kojima e essa galera são legais bagaraio. Nuff said.

  • Idiots the fox engine would have been awesome. platinum games WTF? shit ass shit

  • @LiceCompany are u retarted? they have to have a different engine for the cutting and gore

  • @madwolf592 well i guess so.

  • The gameplay based on this, looks... meh, nothing special. I'm still waiting to see if the story's as good as the others, then I'll give it a shot. But even then, I'd still be a bit hesitant about buying it.

  • i dont get how they can change the story to go after mgs4, raiden wasnt a robot anymore after mgs4

  • @BrownSugar977 there not there basing the story from when mgs2 raiden was human to when in mgs4 he turned into a robot ninja . do you understand?

your mistaken thinking because its metal gear solid 5 its after mgs4 WRONG LOL mgs3 is before mgs1

  • @michael75363 listen to the video they said they were gonna do that at first but then they changed it so the story takes place after mgs4

  • @BrownSugar977

sorry i did that why i posted that other comment i hope they scrap rising

  • @michael75363 Despite the fact that if they scrapped Rising at THIS point in development, they would have alread spent a shit tonne of money developing it only to then not even have a SLIGHT possibilty of gaining any return revenue, thus SEVERELY reducing the ammount of money the producer (Kojima) has to spend, making it even less likely that there will ever be another MGS game due to budget problems. yeah, nice one. Think before you speak, retard.

  • @michael75363 oh yeah, also, watch the video before commenting about the story being between 2 and 4, during the video, Kjoima himself claims that the story is no longer set between 2 and 4 due to the limitations to what can be done because there is already a defined beginning and end. He said HIMSELF that the setting has been CHANGED to after 4, even tho at the end of 4 Raiden had a more human body, that doesn't mean his body can't be changed AGAIN!

  • @iamwarwick

retard ROLF have you ever heard of insurance? if they dont make the game they are covered anyway . also if you think its okay to set metal gear solid rising after mgs4 when raiden is human again then be my guest "RETARD" there spoiling the game if so and people like you say oh you retards who are argueing .

No the people have a right to vioce thier opinion and its to kojima not you so fuck off and stop getting involved with other peoples opinions its annoying

  • looks very interesting!

  • Comment removed

  • I hope that Metal Gear Rising Revengeance turns out to be successful and I hope that one day Kojima Productions is going to make Metal Gear Solid Rising when they have a suitable engine to develop for MGS Rising.

  • How could you think a collaboration with Kojima and the same team that developed no more heroes could turn out bad o.O?

  • Definitely going to buy this.

  • I'm so looking forward to this game! LOVE it!! :D

  • in my opinion you fucked this game up....badly.

  • @Sylvestro don't be so melodramatic, its not like the series as a whole will become a cookie cutter of Rising. This is after all a spinoff game.

  • Personally, my trust is in Kojima - he didn't want to be directly involved, but he noticed the original design that people love so much wasn't working out, which is why he had everything changed. He seems very confident in everything going in this interview which is good enough for me.

  • @Shiek927 It's a pitty that the don't use the Fox Engine anymore. =(

What do you think ?! Will the Story be as good as the Story from MGS4 ?!

  • @RaGe2306 I agree the fox engine was beautiful, but it's true that the developers will be able to work more effectively with a familiar engine .However i'm pretty confident that the story will work out. After all it is kojima production who is working on it,with advice from platinum of course.

  • @BiGdaddyM100 In the story, I'm not worried. Have you ever played the new Castlevania? Kojima was there only to give advises to the developer and it was a great game. The story and the gamplay was soooo damn awesome. :D

The only thing that bothers me is this little colorful graphics and music. = (

Anyway, I'm looking forward to the game. It will be great, I know for sure. <3

  • "They really are a bunch of tough bastards." Thumbs up !!! xD

After this Interview, i am not so much scared anymore. <3 *__*

  • Most definitely agree - I like that Kojima and crew are working these guys hard; this game may turn out to surprise people :)

  • Comment removed

  • The normandy battle and big boss on it was a great idea but this idea wasn't accepted by the other designers. That game must be made!!!

  • "A true collaboration" - Bullshit!! You handed the game off because you couldn't handle it, and now they re-desinged the game from the ground up. By the look on their faces their not too happy with whats happening.

  • According to what he said, he meant that they started using PLATINUMGAMES engine, er... It's shit if it really is what like what I watched from the trailers and other videos.

  • 00:59 That would make my life complete.

  • This game is going to be better than DmC and Ninja Gaiden3. I love the decision making. This mini documentary was truly insightful.

  • so kojima didn't made it the other bitches made it and ruined what kojima worked hard for now it makes sense :D

  • Why blurr out all of there faces? THEY ALL LOOK THE SAME!

  • I like how this video was made, very MGS style.

  • at 5:17, the action firgure to OUR right, which is it? and from which game?

  • @parosg44 I'll take a stab at Anubis from Zone of the Enders: The 2nd Runner.

  • @FLStyle thank you! and to think ive beet this game...

  • Come on KOJIMA!!!

What is this METAL GEAR or NINJA GAIDEN???

I Prefer the OLD Metal Gear

  • Long story short; Kojima leaves these guys to it and it flops, now he has to step in again to save the project.

  • @JCRF Yeah you are from the future.

  • @JCRF And gives it to another team for the old team to cooperate with and mix talents from both teams to make a new type of Metal Gear. Your comment is an oversimplification to say the least.

  • Should've kept normal MGS: Rising. Revengeance looks silly, graphically inferior to the original Rising, and a complete turn off. I was excited for this game for 2 years and i got screwed over. No 25 minute video is going to change that.

  • Despite my distaste for the shifting in Gears between Solid and Rising, I've found this interview very enlightening. At first I thought the shift from stealth to action was really bad for the Metal Gear franchise, but some of these clips I see it from a different angle. Sure it may be high speed ninja action, but from what I can see the seat of power has shifted. The minor enemy androids hid in boxes from Raiden, opposed to Snake hiding from the minor enemies to escape detection.

  • @OREZTEHBACKSTRIKER That doesn't make the shift any less sad.

  • Comment removed

  • @OREZTEHBACKSTRIKER I love you

  • i dont really understand how raiden could.undergo such a drastic transformation in his behaviour from mgs4 to rising where at first he was a cool ninja then he changed into a psychotic killing machine.

  • @iluvMetalGearSolid Raiden was known as Jack the Ripper when he was a child soldier. I'm guessing he earned those nicknames by being extremely brutal. Raiden hated and had frequent nightmares of his past but learned to suppress those memories. After MGS2, the memories started to resurface and Raiden began heavy drinking and getting into petty fights. In MGS4's ending Raiden was reunited with Rose and he learned that Rose's child was Raiden's. Happy ending.

  • @iluvMetalGearSolid Now that Rising is after MGS4 I would believe that something happened to Raiden's family (the game is obviously based on revenge) and triggering his personality change (return of the ripper) which was shown in the trailer.

  • Guys calm down.... Lets enjoy this new idea, and whait for MGS5! Probably the boss and the Cobras in the invasion of Normandy!!!!!

  • Notice that the testers/developers were using 360 controllers in the video. Can someone say "lead platform"? Hopefully the PS3 version will fare better than Bayonetta...-_-

  • @earlyriser03 They are developing the game for ps3 first,do not worry =D

  • @earlyriser03 the 360 controller is the only one that works good on windosw SO... you know billy wants some money...the 360 controller is a sorry piece of crap...as the console it's from.

  • @1r0zz Riiight...because neither of these consoles have their own proprietary development kits that these people work from, using the controllers from their respective console in addition to a keyboard and mouse. Why are console fanboys so damn lulzy...?

  • @earlyriser03 ok a devkit cost around 20.000 USD...and a devkit is used only for the effective tralnslation of the game to the console itself... for the rest is all done on high-end computers. many programmers want to test first-hand they work for eliminate basic bugs so they just connect a controller to their computer and test it...I am maybe a (PC) fanboy but you are IGNORANT...lol

  • @1r0zz Being a fanboy, PC or console, is nothing to be proud of. Oh and nice try on the lacking "explanation" of devkits. While high-end PCs are indeed used in game development, console devkits are always an integral aspect as well. So long as consoles feature proprietary tech, they will never JUST serve as intemediaries as you erroneously claim. Oh and 20,000 USD? Try again. The cost is not public so either cough up an official source or stop pulling ballpark numbers out of your ass.

  • @earlyriser03 devkits are used for know and test the game on the console hardware, everything else is made on computers. they do not do much else. and do you think that devs do not use internet? they use an "grown-ups" net? fuck-off kid. devkits prices are online...propietary tech? not quite both have IBM-core (but sony's is more powerful). they have a difference in the GPU xbox have a shitty ati, ps a nvidia and directX and OpGL...but it's nothing really new...and I know what I am talking about

  • @1r0zz So while you become increasingly incoherent, curse, and throw out "ATI crappy this" and "GPU that", you still manage to provide no link? And you really expect me or anybody else to believe "you know what you're talking about"? Riiight. Sure thing. At the very least try backing up that "20.000 USD" figure you pulled out of your rear with a credible source. Or don't and continue to act like the wannabe-know-it-all-neckbeard you really are!

  • @earlyriser03 I do not have much time to lose, so the console specific are on wikipedia.

the Devkit prices are findable on google...

return to play at your cod or something kid...
