@sake124 many things wrong with the Dark Samus theory. 1. the noise heard there is most likely the ship as its follows Samus'. 2. The women in the Credits says that Samus' battle with Phazon has come to an end, and Since Dark Samus was born of Phazon, she can no longer exist. 3. Why would Dark Samus need a space ship. She is seen flying to attack Samus and the other Bounty hunters on Norion (sp?) and if she had one, how did it survive unnoticed? Also, in MP2's ending, she can survive in space.

It's can't be Dark Samus. Metroid Prime was reborn as Dark Samus using Samus's Phazon suit which she stole at the end of prime 1. After prime 2, Dark Samus preserved herself in phazon supply that was picked up by space pirates. She used the phazon be reborn again. At the end of prime 3, the Source of all phazon was destroyed. All the phazon in the universe is gone. Dark Samus/Metroid Prime can't possibly come back to life again without phazon.

@gamerStuyGS Its not in the prime serie at all, they were made by different compagny. prime is retro and is between metroid and metroid 2 while other m is made by nintendo and team ninja, which would make it more official than the prime series although it wasn't as good as the prime ones. It's wierd that a ninteno franchise have been at it's best by a 2nd game developper like retro. I think it makes it the 2nd franchise to do so in Nintendo's history, first is Rare making donkey kong 64/Country

What they mean by the end of the trilogy is most likely the end of the story arc. Not the end of the Metroid series altogether. There most likely would be a story that involves possibly Sylux, and most likely Samus, it would be a bad move for Nintendo to get rid of her.

The Prime series revolves around Metroid prime, which later, created dark samus, and phazon, which both were destroyed for good in this game. The prime series is over, because DS/MP is dead, and phaaze is gone, so no more phazon. So my guess is that it is sylux, or some other random person.

Lots of ppl talk about Sylux's ship colors, they think that the fact that this one is not blue and green, doesnt mean that it wasnt Sylux, what about Samus Ship? is not the same model, what if Retro decided to remake Sylux ship? maybe is the beginning of a multiplayer sequel :P

Btw, this is only the end of the PRIME series, not of Metroid itself, so there will be other games, thats a fact, there also will proly make a remake of the past Prime games... ...think about it :P

Just because the Prime trilogy is over doesn't mean that 3D Metroid is over. That's like saying 3D Sonic was over when Sega announced it was dropping the 'Adventure' moniker.

And except for certain fanboyish quibbles (lousy jump height, no dialogue from Samus, no true space jump/screw attack action) I'm perfectly happy with Retro's 3D blast-a-thons.
