I forgot what a GREAT movie this is. I saw it as a little kid, but that was a million years ago. Disney was a true genius. His movies are different from what has been created since he died. There was a difference. Thanks so much for posting.

I remember I learned in school that the creater of Bambi he grew up with a very stric and abusive father. The paper said that when he was a kid he wasn't allowed to have any toy's. It was always work, work, work, and if his father caught him with a toy or caught him not working he would get beat severly but then he grew up to be an amazing Disney drawler. It's amazing what God can do with your life This is one of my favorite Disney movie's<3

there is no more whimsy or thought in today's shows, only immediate entertainment which is equivalent to dangling a shiny object, but even sadder, is that it seems the general public wants the latter example as its current entertainment

This is really one of those movies that I appreciate a lot more now that I'm older. I mean, the animators' attention to detail is just unreal. Every word and motion is accompanied by the appropriate ear twitches so that you don't even notice it when your little.

Also, the score is fantastic. Not so much the song at the beginning, but the music throughout really sets the tone for everything. Another thing you don't really notice since its done so well.

So calming, and it just takes you back when you were a little kid, all wrapped up eating homemade cookies with grandma. What I would give for one day of my carefree childhood again. True, I'm only 19 almost 20, but a lot has changed since those days. :')

Omg, I have not seen this movie since I was 12 or so. And that was when I got my first desk in my room that I used for my TV, and I knew this movie was sad as a kid so I paid less attention to it and kept my back at it at times, playing with my legos.

I don't think I really understood the storyline when I was little....I just get the same feeling I got when I watched this, I think it's one of the best ones :)

(also, I know I'm being a misery, but I'm a little confused by the whole 'being super ultra proud to say you watch this as a grown up' thing...not to be a downer, just confused because to be honest I don't think that's exclusive to 90's kids.)
