Umm.........can someone please show me one Messerschmitt in this video. Just another bad movie with imposter planes. Next you'll be telling me the T-6's in the movie Tora, Tora, Tora where real Jap planes.
@rustybonner These are bf-109 airframes mated to a Rolls Royce engine. As close as you can get, really. After the war most Bf-109s were fitted with RR engines because they were much better than the DB engines.
I'm german and I don't get the comments regarding the pronunciation of the singer. It 's crystal clear to me and I particulary like that slight british accent. By the way, this is not a lecture about language studies but a fucking great song and vid!!!!
In this 1968 movie depicting the story of the Battle of Britain. The film maker hired a fleet of about to be retired Spanish Airforce HA 1112-M1L fighters that were actually.
Messerschmitt 109 G frames married with the Rolls Royce Merlin.
Franco bought some frames and Jigs from the Germany during the war but couldn't find a stable engine for them until after the war when they contracted with RR in Britain.
These days they just computer generate shit, at least most of this movie was real flying.
REAL Messerschmitts have INVERTED V12 motors made by Daimler Benz (as in Mercedes) and their fuselage is sleek and beautiful, not like these hack-jobs with Hispano Suiza motors.
This video and song never get old. I love it still! I got to see a 109 fly over the summer during the free fly days up in my state and wow, the plane is far more impressive in person than in a movie! I had this song in my head when she was flying overhead. :D
The plane is very Majestic indeed, it's cool that you got to see one.
They are rarer than Rocking Horse Shit.
The last one I saw was so very cool "Black 6" an original BF 109 G doing nearly 400 mph in England in the 90's along with Spitfires, Mustangs and a Lightening.
@binkyboo72 - Ohhh lucky you getting to see one travelling that fast! Because this took place at an active civilian runway, they had to keep it below 250mph. You got to see a Lightning? Now I'm jealous! Over the summer I saw various warbirds fly: the Hurricane, the Russian Rata, the Fiesler Storch, plenty of P-51s, a Hellcat, Tigercat, and the B-25 kept making random guest appearances. The museum hosts a flying Fw-190, but we will never see it fly because of how rare it is.
Oh Man, The Lightning nearly burned my eyelashes, It literally crashed in front of me and my nephew at Duxford at the east end of the field, he was rolling way too low, R.I.P Mr. Proudfoot. there were 12 Spitfires that day, all sorts, insane really.
I guess those thing were designed with a certain life expectancy.
There were two kinds of derivates of the 109 built after the war, one of them was built in CSSR by Avia (Israel used some of them in their first wars) the other one was spanish built. The planes in the video were the spanish ones. I hate those spanish 109s because they look like P40s^^

Yes. It is a german "Messerschmitt Bf 109G-2". But these are licence built in spain by Hispano Aviacion in 2 models: the "Tripala" and "Buchon". "Tripala" with "spitfire" "merlin" engine and "Buchon" with "Hispano-Suiza" engine. But it is still the same plane as the german "Messerschmitt Bf 109G-2". google translate

was redest du.
Hey Everyone, this is just a Rock video using some nice footage from the Battle of Britain movie. The song is about the Messerschmitt BF 109 pilot's motivation when going into Battle.
I think its absolutely amazing that the Bf 109 E managed to have a favourable kill:death ratio to the Hurricane and Spitfire considering the quality of the RAF and the fact it was the best Metropolitan defence system in the world. Had droptanks been used, Radar badly damaged in sustained attacks and the 'Frei Jagd' - free chase tactics been continued, Britain would have had to rely on the Navy, and even that was not enough with the coming of the Bismark and Tirpitz. End of.
Yes it is Scandelous! I do too. The BF109E-3 during the Battle of Britain flew with Daimler Benz 601 A .
Interestingly the 109 started it's 30 year career with a Rolls Royce engine and finished with a Rolls Royce engine! Over 30,000 were built and that's more than any other fighter in the world.
The Germans stood defeated 9 years after it first flight however the Messerschmitt did not and continued to serve in other countries until 1967.
Hi everyone, I'm James from Jinxremover. The Fighters in this film that are representing Germany's Messerschmitt Bf 109 are in fact Hispano Aviacion HA-1112 M1L and they were the final production version of the BF109 fighter, and were phased out of service with Spain's Ejercito del Aire in 1967.
They made the Film to tell the story and Glorify the RAF's victory over the mighty Luftwaffe in 1940.
Hitler did not invade Britain after the big build up of the Wehrmacht on the French coast because, the skies could not be cleared of British Airpower.
They are Hispano Buchons hired from the Spanish Airforce who were retiring them at the same time the Battle of Britain film was being made in the late 60s.
They are infact BF109G frames married with the Rolls Royce Merlin engine.
You are correct, they are Not made by Messerschmitt.
The Spanish were lisenced to build the frames from 109 G plans and the engines did come from Rolls Royce.
These aircraft were the closest thing that represents the <bf 109 that the filmakers could use. 20 or so real BF109s would have been impossible to find, its just a movie about the Schlacht um England really. No one's saying that German's don't know what they're own wonderful fighters look like. Peace.
Oh, C'mon. Look again, carefully. You'll see that they are in fact Bf109 frames and wings. But granted - the new nose with the Merlin engine completely change the immediate character and appearance of the aircraft. The same criticizm can be directed against the Spits used in the movie: Most of them are completely wrong versions, and wildly mixed too.
It all boils down to what was available to the film. RC technology wasn't evolved enough, Scale aircraft, same. Computer graphics didn't exist.
man, du Hirsel.
This is a German Rocksong - also known as Krautrock. The Krauts are the Germans in relation to their popular food "Sauerkraut". As young longhaired Germans began to play rockmusic in the 60ies, the Brits called them "Krautrockers". But I remember, especially in the 70ies, they had some amazing German hardrock bands.
This is still one of the most awesome WWII videos out here! I've shown this to my friends and they all like it and have gone to see "Battle of Britain" to see what inspired this video. I think it's just awesome seeing these warbirds set to rock music. I've tried locating the song but I can't find it anywhere, not even on iTunes. :(
and to Kinky girl, i think the British empire has killed far many people. and you got to remember a majority of the Luftwaffer wern't Nazi party supporters.
just for the info of it, the 109s in this arent messerschmitts, they are c.a.s.a.s Spanish built 109s liscenced to Spain by the messerschmit co. with merlin engines in them, no db601s to be heard
thanks 4 the bmw m3 and m5/6/ thats about it spitfire sounded better, you lot might have to help us fight the russians or chinese, but this time in a joint venture, with the typhoon ive got to admit the build quality of your cars is a1, i do like the new m3,
you're absolutely right! but let's not forget those people in the past who are like us but yet never had the chance to express themselves and had their human rights taken away from them and ended in their death so cheaply -it's still happening!
I made this video from the 1968 movie The Battle of Britain and I also wrote the song used.
I grew up in the UK and have many family and friends that suffered during the War, so I have seen and understand that Britain at times has a hard time forgiving Germany.
Many Jewish people of all ages suffered and died at the hands of the Nazi regime and many more people at the hands of Stalin.
The war was nearly 70 years ago and 70 years prior cont...
Do your homework Kinkygirl. Every German child must visit somewhere like Dachau or Sachsenhausen. It is compulsory. The Germans know well enough what happened in the NS time. As for being the biggest mass murderers - well for just one person to die from politics or belief is too much...so please step up and take a bow Mr Lenin, Mr Stalin, Mr Pol Pot, Mr Franco, Mr Antonescu...there is room next to Herr Hitler for all of you
It was war. Saying Germans were murderers is no different from saying the Allied forces were murderers. That's like saying one person in a group of people all having a legitimate reason to piss in a sea of piss is to be kicked in for satisfying their bladder.
I hear what everyone says but, this was not meant to be a political war forum. It really is just a video using some footage from the 1968 Battle of Britain Film with a song about the Messerschmitt and it's pilot.
Yes Germany lost the war twice........ it's not supposed to be about the war, just a cool piston engined fighter, like the Spitfire or Mustang and their pilots feeling invincible in their machine, that's it!
Some wankers don't know the difference between a football match and the second world war let alone a fucking cool piece of machinery.
The Messerschmitt is an awesome piece of machinery! And thank you so much for the video most of the videos you see on WWII have vintage music or something emotional (which, there is nothing wrong with it) but this video captures the feelings of the pilots.
I heard the English version and found it very appropriate. And I agree, look at any branch of the military and they'll sing not only about how better their branch is but their squadron pitted against another squadron as well.
Are you mentaly challenged? Germany is currently a great nation that has nothing to do with National Socialism. Let me ask you this, every time someone says Germany do you think of beutiful feilds, soccer, and many other things, or do you think about Nazism?
Me as a german ? I now my country...I am living there for many years...and I feel the hate confronting me sometimes..I fee the stones the british kids tossed at me and I smell the dog-shit the french kids tossed at me it was in the seventies 77 (I was 7 years old). I feel no hate against any nation..and I have now lots of friends all over Europe including Poland and Czech and Hungary and Ukrania...but if You see the TV broadcasts on 3th of October...You will find Nazi WW2 movies all over.
Check the tv-magazines of that date...You will find how some media institutions create a real ugly picture of germans...people dont make the difference...they are looking for others who can be blamed for everything...and then Germany with its 12years of history is a welcomed nation...at least thats the only history which gets teached...and when it comes to the NS regime in german schools..the message is mea culpa mea culpa mea maxima culpa.
Yeah, well in any case it's bothersome how many people think that Germany is a state of nothing but Nazism and death... -_- Frankly I like Germany and I have German friends and frankly I wouldn't mind going to Germany one day to see the place.
Its good to know that some people think like You...Germany has nothing to do any more with raccism, war and cruelty...its one of the most peaceful countries on that blue sphere...Germany has some, as every other country, idiots believing in war and want to ruel the world...but these are not the common people in Germany and Europe...
Indeed, there are very few terrorist factions in Europe, and Germany is probably one of the most peaceful. It's also the Germans who have made many great technologies, like my father has German made speakers on his computer and they are the best I have ever heard.
sadly you shouldn't have murdered so many people - the biggest murder and slaughter of people in the whole history of mankind and you expect people to forget it? -which is very germanic. i still have to talk to my parents and uncles and aunts about the war who fought in it? - and those poor people who were slaughtered by stupid german people more interested in their self importance than the human being?the young people now can live on -but what about the young people murdered then with no hope?
I murdered no people, my parents didnt kill anybody and my grandparents did suffer from the Nazi regime..You didnt have to life outside Germany to feel the unhumanity of the Nazi regime...and I did not want to forget anything....germanic...wow its germanic to kill....very racistic of You...Germans are racists...is that Your message ?
Not all Germans were Nazis. The Nazis was a political party and because of the unfair Treaty of Versailles that plunged Germany into a huge depression following WWI many Germans enlisted in the Wehrmacht to survive. What the SS did was horrible. And do not be so quick to condemn the Germans for history itself shows mans inhumanity towards one another. Making this personal isn't going to help any. Germany can be forgiven. Hatred against them now is only going to lead to more hatred!~
Oh, I already knew about the song from the start of the video I was mostly looking to where I could download the song from. Thank you for telling me about the iTunes release of Messerschmitt next month that helps greatly! I looked at the MySpace and they had the song in English. I like both versions and more especially the video. Merci!
Awesome video! I was curious to know how one can get a hold of the song because I found both the German and the English version of the song but it's not on anyplace to download like iTunes. Where can I find the song?
I don;t know about the negative comments, I think it's great. I only flaw I can spot is the wrong propellors on that Bf 109 when the guy hop off the plane.
Yes some of them were remote, especially the Stukas and the crappy mock ups exploding on the ground.
However most of the footage from the film 'The Battle of Britain' of real flight was shot in Spain because the Spanish Airforce as late as 1967 had just retired the fleet of Spanish built Heinkels and Buchons.
It was easier to just fly a couple of Hurricanes and Spitfires to Spain from the UK.
Pilots from Texas flew the Buchons, someone died during the filming too.

Oh ! Merlin engine !!! It's scandalous ! I prefer the True Bf109 with the jumo or the Daimler Benz DB 605 !
bfmesserschmitt 2 years ago
Yes it is Scandelous! I do too. The BF109E-3 during the Battle of Britain flew with Daimler Benz 601 A .
Interestingly the 109 started it's 30 year career with a Rolls Royce engine and finished with a Rolls Royce engine! Over 30,000 were built and that's more than any other fighter in the world.
The Germans stood defeated 9 years after it first flight however the Messerschmitt did not and continued to serve in other countries until 1967.
Pretty intense really.

Better than yours
And so I must shoot now
Why I shoot, I don't know?
I am working for the Devil
This is a present from him to you.

Can't you see me at all?
I'm right here behind you
I think the end is near
The end is near for you

I am flying with the Devil
He is the Father of us all

Hi everyone, I'm James from Jinxremover. The Fighters in this film that are representing Germany's Messerschmitt Bf 109 are in fact Hispano Aviacion HA-1112 M1L and they were the final production version of the BF109 fighter, and were phased out of service with Spain's Ejercito del Aire in 1967.
binkyboo72 2 years ago
Feierprinz86 2 years ago
They made the Film to tell the story and Glorify the RAF's victory over the mighty Luftwaffe in 1940.
Hitler did not invade Britain after the big build up of the Wehrmacht on the French coast because, the skies could not be cleared of British Airpower.

Feierprinz86 3 years ago
They are Hispano Buchons hired from the Spanish Airforce who were retiring them at the same time the Battle of Britain film was being made in the late 60s.
They are infact BF109G frames married with the Rolls Royce Merlin engine.
They are not P40s.
binkyboo72 3 years ago
Feierprinz86 3 years ago
You are correct, they are Not made by Messerschmitt.
The Spanish were lisenced to build the frames from 109 G plans and the engines did come from Rolls Royce.
These aircraft were the closest thing that represents the <bf 109 that the filmakers could use. 20 or so real BF109s would have been impossible to find, its just a movie about the Schlacht um England really. No one's saying that German's don't know what they're own wonderful fighters look like. Peace.
binkyboo72 3 years ago

Gammelpreusse 2 years ago
Stimmt, das ist meine meinung.
G frames, merlin engines, DBs were not available for the Spanish model and the movie used the Spanish Air arm Buchons.

Feierprinz86 2 years ago
man, du Hirsel.

This is a German Rocksong - also known as Krautrock. The Krauts are the Germans in relation to their popular food "Sauerkraut". As young longhaired Germans began to play rockmusic in the 60ies, the Brits called them "Krautrockers". But I remember, especially in the 70ies, they had some amazing German hardrock bands.

just for the info of it, the 109s in this arent messerschmitts, they are c.a.s.a.s Spanish built 109s liscenced to Spain by the messerschmit co. with merlin engines in them, no db601s to be heard

Hey hey hey! steady on there Kinkygirl.
I made this video from the 1968 movie The Battle of Britain and I also wrote the song used.
I grew up in the UK and have many family and friends that suffered during the War, so I have seen and understand that Britain at times has a hard time forgiving Germany.
Many Jewish people of all ages suffered and died at the hands of the Nazi regime and many more people at the hands of Stalin.

how come germans still can't figure out they're the largest mass murderers out of all time?
kinkygirl2008 3 years ago
Do your homework Kinkygirl. Every German child must visit somewhere like Dachau or Sachsenhausen. It is compulsory. The Germans know well enough what happened in the NS time. As for being the biggest mass murderers - well for just one person to die from politics or belief is too much...so please step up and take a bow Mr Lenin, Mr Stalin, Mr Pol Pot, Mr Franco, Mr Antonescu...there is room next to Herr Hitler for all of you
taff1976 3 years ago
They are not. Commies killed more people.
Semigall 3 years ago
It was war. Saying Germans were murderers is no different from saying the Allied forces were murderers. That's like saying one person in a group of people all having a legitimate reason to piss in a sea of piss is to be kicked in for satisfying their bladder.
incom1138501 3 years ago
I hear what everyone says but, this was not meant to be a political war forum. It really is just a video using some footage from the 1968 Battle of Britain Film with a song about the Messerschmitt and it's pilot.

ponic420h 3 years ago
Yes Germany lost the war twice........ it's not supposed to be about the war, just a cool piston engined fighter, like the Spitfire or Mustang and their pilots feeling invincible in their machine, that's it!
Some wankers don't know the difference between a football match and the second world war let alone a fucking cool piece of machinery.
binkyboo72 3 years ago
The Messerschmitt is an awesome piece of machinery! And thank you so much for the video most of the videos you see on WWII have vintage music or something emotional (which, there is nothing wrong with it) but this video captures the feelings of the pilots.
I heard the English version and found it very appropriate. And I agree, look at any branch of the military and they'll sing not only about how better their branch is but their squadron pitted against another squadron as well.

grazyarnie 3 years ago
Are you mentaly challenged? Germany is currently a great nation that has nothing to do with National Socialism. Let me ask you this, every time someone says Germany do you think of beutiful feilds, soccer, and many other things, or do you think about Nazism?
bakathirteen 3 years ago
Me as a german ? I now my country...I am living there for many years...and I feel the hate confronting me sometimes..I fee the stones the british kids tossed at me and I smell the dog-shit the french kids tossed at me it was in the seventies 77 (I was 7 years old). I feel no hate against any nation..and I have now lots of friends all over Europe including Poland and Czech and Hungary and Ukrania...but if You see the TV broadcasts on 3th of October...You will find Nazi WW2 movies all over.
grazyarnie 3 years ago
and I am not talking about german TV-channels.
Check the tv-magazines of that date...You will find how some media institutions create a real ugly picture of germans...people dont make the difference...they are looking for others who can be blamed for everything...and then Germany with its 12years of history is a welcomed nation...at least thats the only history which gets teached...and when it comes to the NS regime in german schools..the message is mea culpa mea culpa mea maxima culpa.
grazyarnie 3 years ago
Yeah, well in any case it's bothersome how many people think that Germany is a state of nothing but Nazism and death... -_- Frankly I like Germany and I have German friends and frankly I wouldn't mind going to Germany one day to see the place.
bakathirteen 3 years ago
Its good to know that some people think like You...Germany has nothing to do any more with raccism, war and cruelty...its one of the most peaceful countries on that blue sphere...Germany has some, as every other country, idiots believing in war and want to ruel the world...but these are not the common people in Germany and Europe...
grazyarnie 3 years ago
Indeed, there are very few terrorist factions in Europe, and Germany is probably one of the most peaceful. It's also the Germans who have made many great technologies, like my father has German made speakers on his computer and they are the best I have ever heard.
bakathirteen 3 years ago
sadly you shouldn't have murdered so many people - the biggest murder and slaughter of people in the whole history of mankind and you expect people to forget it? -which is very germanic. i still have to talk to my parents and uncles and aunts about the war who fought in it? - and those poor people who were slaughtered by stupid german people more interested in their self importance than the human being?the young people now can live on -but what about the young people murdered then with no hope?
kinkygirl2008 3 years ago
Hi kinkygrl
I murdered no people, my parents didnt kill anybody and my grandparents did suffer from the Nazi regime..You didnt have to life outside Germany to feel the unhumanity of the Nazi regime...and I did not want to forget anything....germanic...wow its germanic to kill....very racistic of You...Germans are racists...is that Your message ?
grazyarnie 3 years ago
Not all Germans were Nazis. The Nazis was a political party and because of the unfair Treaty of Versailles that plunged Germany into a huge depression following WWI many Germans enlisted in the Wehrmacht to survive. What the SS did was horrible. And do not be so quick to condemn the Germans for history itself shows mans inhumanity towards one another. Making this personal isn't going to help any. Germany can be forgiven. Hatred against them now is only going to lead to more hatred!~

you guys realize those planes flying are mostly Remote control planes.
ponchoyo 4 years ago
Yes some of them were remote, especially the Stukas and the crappy mock ups exploding on the ground.
However most of the footage from the film 'The Battle of Britain' of real flight was shot in Spain because the Spanish Airforce as late as 1967 had just retired the fleet of Spanish built Heinkels and Buchons.
It was easier to just fly a couple of Hurricanes and Spitfires to Spain from the UK.
Pilots from Texas flew the Buchons, someone died during the filming too.

Also, the video is just meant to be artistic, war and authenticity aside.
