No offense but I think it's a pretty interesting idea to use the Kid's passion for Street Fighter to get them interested in Japanese History (since the game itself originates from this country, it is only natural that they would choose to tell this country's History).

Im sure some kids would appreciate that short animated documentary with the presence characters they can relate to, over conventionnal documentaries, over the which they might get seriously bored.

It didnt really die per se...it kind of mutated because people didnt want to see the same style of drawing. Animators however not only got lazy but tooooo experimental. It is a tragedy nonetheless agreed!

Its amusing when people down something educational (way of the world now i guess) instead of actually LEARNING SOMETHING, People dont fight every single waking moment, not even in the Street Fighter or Mortal Kombat storylines. and the Part that gets me even more is the fact that the same knuckleheads that watched THE WHOLE THING want to bash it, if you didnt like it, you wouldnt have made it past Part 2.

Not sure why people so down on this. Sure it is not an "entertainment" show, but if you take it as an educational film, I think it's really cool that they used the SF char to make history more interesting...and they did it with good quality to boot

Come on people, this is still street fighter even with some action,more lecture, but lot of funny scenes like Chun-Li and E.Honda blending in the life of Japan and people's daily carrer of their living.^_^ BTW, Chun-Li's friendship with them kinda remind of Street Fighter II V...,Ah good times.

Yeah it was cool seeing them all together in this type of animation. With Ryu, Ken, and E Honda I was like,"Yeahh!" When I saw Chun-Li, I was like, "YEAHH, my baby!!"xD Street Fighter II V was a great series.

I have the DVD which came with a SFII Manga I got in Japan 3 or 4 years ago. UDON translated the manga, but no one has released the DVD in America.

It's the educational StreetFighter anime that was canceled. It teaches the old periods and living in Japan. And yes it's better to have this great looking streetfighter art style while knowing the culture of Japan than the old saturday morning U.S. cartoon.
