This goes out to all of those import punks talking smack about Tom Nelson and NRE saying that all his work is good for is spinning tires and dyno queens this video is one of many proving all these IDIOTS WRONG and until ANY of you PUNKS can say that you beat any of his award winning work just shut your mouth because Nelsons work speaks for itself and that's why even some import owners have had work done by him [THE SMART ONES LOL]
Congratulations to Tom and his team, well deserved! Btw, have you guys ever thought of putting the most powerful engines into racing boats instead of cars?
The phenominal hp would actually make alot of sense in a proper speed boat.
@barath4545 I have been thinking this for quite a while. Try to get into the boat market. There 1350hp is the new standard from Mercury. 1500+ is semi-common, but on race gas. If NRE can get 1600+hp on 91 octane with their 632 then that would be THE engine. Plus, with "Octane on Demand" they could have 1600hp on 91 and 2500hp on race gas in their boats.
Just think, DCB just did 175mph with twin 1350s, so twin 2500s...
Booth looks great! Good to see your videos playing on the TV's, actually having the ability for people so see your setups on the dyno is enough in itself for your products to sell themselves.
Awesome, great choice SEMA, this deserved the award.
NRE should make a TT kit for the Ford GT. Compete with Heffner Performance, UGR and Hennessey. Those are pretty popular and with these symmetrical turbos it would not only look cool, but it would make 100hp more than the competition on pump gas.
@TheOfficialKC Nelson would get way more than any of those guys. Hennessey tri-charged a ford GT and was getting somewhere around 1000hp on race gas. I'm pretty sure Nelson's TT setup would blow Hennessey's tri-charge away in performance. Don't get me wrong Hennessey makes good products but when it comes to horse power I think NRE is way ahead of the competition.
@DillonBerkley I think NRE has the honor for most power. The Hennessey package is the least powerful Ford GT package you can buy, because of the supercharger. But it makes the most low end power, because of the supercharger. It makes about 850rwhp on 93 octane. The Heffner Ford GT makes 950rwhp on 93 octane. I believe with NRE's symmetrical turbos and custom Alien intake they could get 1050-1100rwhp.
@TheOfficialKC Everything you said makes since and I agree with all of it? Youtube comment of day in my books! haha Didn't even think about the supercharger making the hennessey the most powerful in low end. I'm a ford guy and I'd like to see what Tom could do with a 4.6l 4v DOHC. I know people with fully built short blocks and KB supercharges are making 850hp. Some are even making a 1000hp with SC+nitrous although their motors don't last very long.
@DillonBerkley I would really like to see what he can do with the 5.4L V8 from the GT. You can get 1500hp out of those with stock internals. I would love to see what NRE can do with modifying everything. I wonder if you can bump up the displacement much on them.
It would also be cool to see what he could do with the new 5.0
it would be awesome if there was such a thing as winning a trip to spend a day with Tom Nelson test driving all his crazy cars (I'd be the passenger) and touring the shop. it's on my bucket list.
QUESTION ? Why is it all the announcers on Speed TV, Home TV, Garden TV and Cooking shows all New Zealanders ? Does not America have enough people to fill these jobs?
I hope Tom does something with the new 5.0 Mustang. The only twin kit for them is a mid-mount and Im not a fan. If he can build one like the Code Red Shelby that would be sweet.
@stevensjustin87 - that could take him a long time since he mentioned in one of his code red videos that Nelson spent almost 2 years on the code red project. I agree it would be very cool indeed if he built a "new 5.0" code red, but I would take the current code red engine any day!
@evanescence2 Well yeah lol. I would love to have a Code Red but thats not in the cards at the moment. A couple of years from now maybe but not now. Im still tryin to sell my truck so I can get a new 5.0. I plan to twin it but Im not lookin for insane HP numbers. Does anyone know where to find prices on the Mirror Image Twins? I went to the website but couldnt find any prices.
If i ever win million from lottery, NRE is the ONE who's customer i will be

@pyro74boy Obviously you dont have a clue what NRE builds cost. Give any 22 year old engineer 100 grand and im sure he would be pretty damn fast too.

@DCA573 I know all about NRE thank you very much and yes they do not come cheap but when you want the best you have to pay for the best,

Congratulations Tom Nelson! You just keep building them better and better every time.
The "Code Red" Mustang was awesome and over the top, but how about a new Mustang build showcasing your newest ideas and innovations?
You could call it the "Full Nelson" because it would put everything else on the road in a stranglehold performance wise. ;-)
