  • Sittin' Here, Trippin' Out To Voldemort.

  • the effects guy is high on LSD

  • WHAT'S WRONG WITH THIS AUDIENCE? Are they all passed out? REALLY?

  • @capecodnut no theyre just french...

  • 不愧是 吉他巫师~~。。。。。

  • the person on the visual effects is high on LSD

  • The dude's got some cool shoes.

  • @Fendershred50 yeah :) Joe was thinking.. "what on earth do I gotta put on to be cool tonite... oh yes, the red shoes!" hahaha :D

But yeah, you gotta appreciate his shoe and hat collection.

  • @Ghraladean Don't forget the sunglasses XD!

  • At 2:10 he ads this killer new melody to the song. I have to learn this!

  • 2:26-2:48 Oh fuck... Satriani, why would you steal God's Hands to make such a fucking awesome riff, men I love that part.

  • CAN'T WAIT 'TIL BOSTON 12/09/10!!!! SATCH!! You are MY WORLD. I will never get enough of you. Your music makes me cry (even the hard stuff). Loved you since "Day 1" (yes, I'm his age.....).......ROCK ON!

  • @capecodnut I love your passion!

  • 2:11 - 2:14 " Joe, you are the master of melodic guitar. You fill out every gap in the song with stuff like this . Goose bumps all over !!

    JOE SATRIANI FOREVER :-) :-)

  • I wonder if Joe Satriani edited his own visual effects! if he did he must of just learned how!

  • The potato head is the Satriani's head!

  • those effects are really creepy, youll probably just die if you see this on acid.... btw 1.40 thats fucking voldemort... ^^

    Satriani = God.

  • i LOVE the faces.... they're like little heads that got hit with a bat, and landed on the railing on a fence....yeah thats how i describe things in my little bill world! he named a song mystical potato head groove things, dont call me weird...who am i kiding, im extremely weird! and thats what makes me, me!

  • what is Joe's shoes??

  • @deathscythekim729 Fallen shoes, i 've seen him before with that shoes brand

  • OMG I'ts the best version of the "Mystical potato Heard groove thing" i see of my life ! ! ! All is PERFECT !! : Sound qulity ! Guitar Effect ! and Visual effect ! I'ts Absolutely AMAZING !

On est vraiment dans la haute technicité et la qusi-perfection ! VRAIMENT GENIAL !

  • @liloute6970 i still think the version on g3 live in denvers the best. it sounded clearer n more fluid

  • @RonnieAGonzalez Oh yeah is true ! but effects is better here i think ^^ and some amazing changes ....

  • very cool.....

    i like its

  • its pain in the eye...

  • is it just me ...or do the visual effects on this dvd seem like an acid trip gone wrong?

  • @muckyducky70 word...wait, isnt that tim burtons alice in wonderland?

  • I think Joe just wants something different. I still think the 2001 San Francisco DVD is the best he's ever made. I was hoping this one is similar to the SF DVD.

  • @muckyducky70 It's just you

  • @davescherping1 Im not so sure its just me ...if you read the comments on the live in paris video's ..many people are disappointed with the editing and the over the top effects. being a guitarist myself ...id love to see what Joe is doing ... rather than the acid trip from hell! ... but hey ...if YOU love the effects ..enjoy!

  • to much delay satch!!!

    Still love u though x x x

  • Thanks for uploading dude.

  • Hadn't heard this song in a long time. It's amazing. This is a pretty cool performance of it, too. Especially the solo section. It sounds cool with the delay and all. Rock on, people!

  • this is EPIC - both this record and the song itself...

4:06 is legendary - it makes me feel so high! ^_^

every time i hear this song it makes me so impertinent and happy :D

  • This is the best "Live" performance of this song I have ever heard from Joe. Just wicked, wicked playing on this track!! All hail the Mystical Potato Head!!

  • @cleremond I'm thinking I liked his performance of this during his G3 Live in Denver more so than this. The arpeggios are brought out more so as a solo than a chorus, which IMO, adds to the "Harley-Davidson-type Rock" sound of the song. That was a bad description, but its just that when I hear the beginning of the song and its Rhythm guitar, I think of Low Rider-type bikers.

  • OMG SATCH has mastered his instrument in every possible possible way :)) thats so so so amazin' ...

  • he also has a pretty fair amount of delay. that helps the arpeggio to not sound as staccato or more flowy

  • @bigfatties420 as well as the harmonics...trst me with out them its hard to do teh satch screem stuff.

  • I prefer the classic sound of record

  • The mystical potato head groove thing is a great song and arppegio is awesome!

  • lol at 1:13. that face is great. Still can't get those left hand arps.

  • Its a little pattern. Memorize it, learn to mute those strings properly, especially on a 2mm actioned guitar. You have to TOUCH those damn things to mute them.

  • i know the notes and can play and mute it . just i cant seem to make it flow as much . sounds to sticatto with me. i just need to keep practising to a click with it. ill get there eventualy.

  • yeah, I definitely know what you mean. Practice, thats the only way legato really forms, is to build muscle memory.

  • im preaty good at legato to. just not this. i can sweep to a preaty good standard when im warmed up. just thso one thing haha. but cheers for the advice, my actions veeerrry low. i actualy raised it a bit to improve sustain .

    matt
