What does the "+2" and "-2" Numbers beside the element mean? Do they do anything?

It means that the spell has been moved up/down from its original level. Moving a spell up takes more magic to use but it gives better results and moving a spell down reduces the effect but takes less magic. Buffs and debuffs don't seem to be as effected.

HERE is a fun fact, that actually helped me ALOT during this fight because i didn't have any upgraded weapons. Pack a side ally with healing spells only! And cast them on this boss it does damage and is not effected by diminish.

I had no problem going through the game without ever using trap elements. By the time you actually need them (ie, the last couple of bosses), you've gotten enough high level elements from drops, steals and chests.

The diminish strategy I knew about it but never actually used it. Sort of ruins the any challenge factor later from some bosses.

I really don't think you can use our Earth's timeline as a reference for the timeline in the game, HC. It clearly takes place in another world entirely, so any dates are pretty much moot, the way I see it. Maybe they did have those big ships "back then" as you put it, in the Chrono Cross universe, who knows?

Also, Fargo is totally badass, cause he's a pirate. Pirates rule.

The two trappable elements I always had trouble with were the Carnivore and Deluge. I remember it being very late in the game before they were available. Is there a way to get them earlier? Send me a private message if you know and don't want to spoil the plot :)

Personally, I still liked using the elements, because they usually did more damage for me that some attacks.

Using trap elements, you can actually get an unlimited supply of earthquakes at this point by fighting the centipede monsters in the hydra marsh [another world] that HCbaily avoided.

This is really powerful if you like to use elements.

Male: HP +5%, has a "♂" beside the name.

Female: HP -5%, has a "♀" beside the name.

Stealing skills have double success rate and the chance to steal rare items is also doubled when the stealer has opposite gender to the enemy.

Yes, but the idea is to deal as much damage per stamina consumed to kill the boss as quickly as possible. This means using only fierce attacks, then getting back to that character's turn as quickly as possible. Going 3-2-2 consumes an extra stamina and could incur an additional attack.

I'm not sure if that's a 100% accurate statement, but I think you get what I mean.

I know an enemy called Bunyip used to have a Element you could trap rather easily... I used to run from him a few times just to stock up because it was so predictable. Sadly I don't remember WHAT Element that was.

Yeah, the number of traps is based on getting 3 of the L5 elements and 1 of each of the others. Then, I subtracted the number of traps/elements we can procure otherwise and added the number that I want to use purely for nullifying purposes.
